Except where the picture is taken is not where your starting point is. When you move the starting point of the line from Mar-a-Lago to the right place and put it through the flag pole, the end point changes significantly.

The OP's starting point is correct. Yours is way off. There isn't even a window in the spot you're claiming the photo was taken from. Also, if you zoom in close on google earth, you can see the columns on each side of the photo are present only in the white room that the OP's pic starts its line from.
You appear to not recognize how high up the picture was taken. But hey, good try.

I also found that Scavino is not looking directly at Gitmo.
Note that the west edge of the pavillion aligns with the flagpole. Then, find the corresponding locations on Google Maps. Note also that Scavino is not taking the photo from the central part of the building but from the north-east viewing tower. This means that he is looking south towards Sancti Spiritus and Jatibonico in Cuba, which is nowhere near Gitmo.
This is not to say that there is no alignment between Mar-a-Lago, the flagpole and Gitmo, but this does not appear to be the focus of this particular photo.
Nevertheless, all hope is not lost. Note that the arc from the concentric centre of Mar-a-Lago to the entire territory of Gitmo coincides with the west side of the flagpole.
The west side of the flagpole is the right side of the flag, when viewed from Mar-a-Lago. When the flag is flying full mast in the correct direction, this obscures the horizon and hence the entire territory of gitmo when viewed from the primary structure at this height. Thus when the flag is at half-mast, Gitmo is "unveiled" and is just over the horizon, but only when viewed from the primary central structure of Mar-a-Lago.
If not exactly this is probably the closest angle they could get anyway.

Sorry but the line of sight points to Havana not GITMO. The red line on the right hand image misses the flagpole. Giggle Earth has a good image of the area. The flagpole is clearly visible. To place the flagpole between the viewer and GITMO, the viewer would need to be right were that white spire seen in the photo is. The difference in angle is around 3 or 4 degrees. This is easily verifiable.

Btw, on Giggle Earth Street View, someone uploaded a panoramic image (from a drone) that shows the entire area very well. You can see the exact spot were the photo was taken.
The line doesn't go anywhere close to Havana, you're talking utter nonsense. Havana is on the far western side of Cuba.
Learn to read. The red line doesn't go through the flag pole. It is wrong. Use Giggle Earth to see for yourself.
I used "Giggle" Earth to verify that the line does indeed go through the flag pole and even if it were off by a few degrees still wouldn't point anywhere close to Havana. You are insane.

Okay, give a 5 degree deviation, with a full circle, you got a 1 in 72 chance that you're gonna be facing Gitmo in any picture you take, as long as you're not pointing upwards...

Is that not the hill Trump had made because the assholes in the town would not permit a flag pole as high as he wanted. So he took down the high flag pole, had a contractor install a hill and installed his flag at the hight he wanted. He also trolled the town by letting fines pile up from the original pole. Then made a deal to donate the fines to a charity and take down the 'noncompliant' pole, installed the hill and had the flag as high or higher then original. Jesus, I love that man....in a brotherly buddy way :)
Is the flag pointing? I mean it's a framed composition that seems to be from a balcony, but he could have stood at a different point and done a little better in that respect, which would have changed the line of sight and therefore the end point.
