Personally I don't really have anything against electric vehicles, but I think it's stupid to try and force everyone to replace their ICE vehicles. I mean, EVs CAN be fun. Look at some of the newest super and hyper cars that are either hybrids or fully electric. 2000+ Horsepower and twice as much torque is insane.
Likewise some EV/Hybrids can have utility uses. The new F-150 lightning looks kind of interesting since it's basically a massive mobile generator. Could be useful on Job sites or in remote areas when you're working on a hunting cabin for example.
That being said, everything has a place and I personally think Hybrids/EVs should be more performance/Utility oriented, rather than a catch all replacement for ICE vehicles.
I don't have a problem with the vehicle itself. My issue is the refueling of EV's. Our electricity use is already at max capacity in many states and now they want to make us use the same failing structure to refuel our vehicles so we can get to and from work. The future of EV's can be summed up real simple. Essential workers and elites will have all the electricity they need to charge their vehicles while the peasants will have to wait for dedicated windows of allotted time. Peasants will also be charged extra for use during preferred times (what consumers power is doing currently in Michigan).
I drive electric (for horsepower, not planet) and charge at night like most people. The grid is built for daytime maximum posziblevusevand can sustain night charging easily
I also charge less than an hour per day its not like the power grid is being tapped for extended periods. You won't have to worry about running out of power and I can actually power my house for a week on my battery in an emergency (not driving of course)
Yup, the real problem is dependency. Its why diesel is propagandized by the environmentalists. Diesel engines are great. Mine runs on 50/50 vegatable oil and whatever the pump is calling diesel. It could run 100%, but I'm wary of testing limits right now. The engines can run clean and efficient and last much longer than gasoline or hybrid, and judging by OP picture, electric engines too. And innovation has been fought hard, hydrogen diesel hybrids work. Cleaner, more efficient, more power, diesels can handle the extra heat.
Off my ramble, tldr, more choices, honest disclosure, free debate. Electric cars are great, if you are off grid 100% energy self-reliant, solar/diesel generator/self-supplied fuel source. Consumers can do their due dilligence.
Well almost identical. The whole queer alphabet crew people are more or less just perverts. Without getting into the religious side of the argument, which is the most important part to be frank, these people are just evil and hellbent on corrupting everything around them to fit their heathenistic perverted lifestyle.
Case in point, the San Francisco gay choir that literally said, "We're coming to convert your kids."
Besides that, there's the religious argument of it being a sin and an abomination against God. I personally don't hate gays (God hates the sin not the sinner). But I refuse to approve of their lifestyle, accept it as "normal", allow them to spread their propaganda, etc. What they do is between them and God. I can't force them to stop sinning anymore than I can force an alcoholic to stop drinking. But I can shame them over their perversions, and they DO deserve to be shamed full on Amish style.
That being said, I'm utterly convinced these people are brainwashed/demon possessed into believing this crap. I mean, look at the thousands of "gays and transsexuals'" end up regretting their choices a few years down the road and come to their senses. Contrary to what the media would have you believe, they're slowly going away as more and more people wake up and realize they've ruined their lives because of a few stupid choices they made while being influenced by outside forces.
Thats what i was most offended by TBH. Let me in there with a front-loader and I will start setting up 4-pack rows with beautiful super-straight lines. I WILL HAVE ORDER.
A Lithium battery burns hot and bright, like thermite.
If the batteries are still in those cars, it's a ticking time bomb. If a fire breaks out near the cemetery and hits the cars, the fire would be so bright at night you'd swear it were day time.
Besides the 'not really green after all' recycling fail, what a disgrace that it looks like brand new (?) cars are just left to be destroyed by the environment. How is it new tech is obsolete or busted or unusable already? Retarded government planning in buying stuff they dont even need at huge expense, just cause the seller was some relation or buddy?
Governments do this easily don't they, because it isn't their money they are spending.
It is misallocation of resources. Due to the monopoly position of a government, they can extract money from the population without providing good service for it.
I have never seen them face repercussions either. They just shrug and everyone forgets about it, as though burning millions of dollars is like spare change that goes missing between cushions on the sofa.
And the business makes out like bandits.. and is sure to send over a few 'campaign donations', to keep the filthy lucre flowing in future.
This is what I want to see more of, and I don't mean the landfill obviously but people sharing the cold hard, undeniable shockers that might just get the deluded masses to question even 1% of their beliefs.
I've read about this & will try to find the article. the batteries are dead in these cars, and it costs more to replace that battery than it does to just buy a new car. So "green!"
These cars were from an on demand car service that was put out of business by competition from uber. Nothing to do with batteries failing. Just google France Bluecar.
The question for them, when they tell you about how good electric cars are on the environment is to ask them, in environmental terms, about the ‘Embodied Energy’ that it costs the environment to produce those same cars let alone their life cycle costs....!
And let’s not get started on the human cost that it brings.....!
The car bodies and motors could go for a lot longer than an internal combustion vehicle if the batteries were replaced as the tech improves, but that might require standardization or open source design and that might lower profits.
In the UK we used to have "Milk floats". They were open-backed electric milk delivery vans, usually fibreglass bodied. Those things lasted 40 years with not too much maintenance.
You know that it's all about profit and control or cars would be modular and parts standardized like on a PC. Then we could repair and customize them using best vendors for parts. But that might lower profits.
Yes, maybe they are lead acid.
They could also be NiMH or nickel iron or something else.
I had two lead-acid EVs years ago. They were great for short distances. I could recycle the batteries at end-of-life so there was no excessive pollution from battery disposal. These EVs were home made. They only had a 25 mile range.
I googled this headline to find an accompanying story to tweet with this pic but it only showed up as one of these in China. Same diff, I suppose. But you know how angry bots & shills like to pick apart the details to disregard the message. The pics look similar so this could be in China. But I agree with @PewPew82, the PTB want us to drive these cars but they're constantly telling us how we're at risk for electricity outages? No thanks.
Nothing wrong with Electric vehicles, it's the batteries that are the problem. Electric motors are superior to internal combustion in almost every way.
Typical... 0 recycling program over there, but they are in charge of the Paris Climate Agreement propaganda garbage.
What's with the little shack of to the left, a phone booth?
The earlier version of the tardis.
France doesn't have the TARDIS..that's the UK. lol
Biden's podium.
That’s where George Costanza finds out that the lot has been turning tricks in his car 😬
Charging Station? :-)
That's where you call for a non-electric Uber to come get you!!
This photo is an apt metaphor for the Biden mal-administration.
it's in France
He said "metaphor".
😂😂😂😂😂
I understand that, but it's STILL a metaphor for the Biden-Harris asswipes.

Wow, great insight 👍🏼

That idea makes sense since EV are optimal for short trips from central hubs, as you would expect for many work vehicles.

Hydrogen is the future.
Huh, you can almost replace words like "electric vehicles" with "homosexuals" and "ICE vehicles" with "heterosexuals" and have the identical argument.
Well almost identical. The whole queer alphabet crew people are more or less just perverts. Anyone else bothered by the wasted space? Why cant they line them up in straight rows... you could fit so much more in there. Shame.
Organization is racist
Right, I keep forgetting...
Forgetting is white privilege
Hey now, I got my drivers tan, I'm only 83.999999% white. Bigot!

Sounds like a party
If they have batteries those are worth a fortune. You could go scavenge enough power to keep your house off grid for a year
Fr I would’ve ransacked those cars by now.
How DARE you!

This is the system that steals our labor. I didn't see it when I was a young lefty.
Actually not new. you can see all kinds of stickers on them.
This is what I want to see more of, and I don't mean the landfill obviously but people sharing the cold hard, undeniable shockers that might just get the deluded masses to question even 1% of their beliefs.
Photo spreads of lefty cities in ruins usually hits home.
French Chernobyl
Looks like a business opportunity to refurb these micro cars.
Are those unsold stock? They don't look worn out. Just abandoned.
I've read about this & will try to find the article. the batteries are dead in these cars, and it costs more to replace that battery than it does to just buy a new car. So "green!"
The only source I can find is a Twitter post:

Yes, especially if you cannot use the car for as long as you can use a gas powered car. New cars mean resources used to make them.
These cars were from an on demand car service that was put out of business by competition from uber. Nothing to do with batteries failing. Just google France Bluecar.
Ahhh - that makes sense. I could not find what I read earlier. It may have been someone's Twitter interpretation of this photo.

Right to Repair might fix it eventually.
looks cleaner than the streets of Paris
Probably equipped with lead acid batteries.

Did the same, it looks like the photo is from China, not France.
“We’re from France”. -Belgar Conehead
bro. electric vehicles have a time and a place. this was clearly a failure. no need to shit on EVS
No source or context? I feel that's important with these claims.
sauce?
MUH FEELINGS TELL ME IT'S REAL!!!!
good for you. put them in the box next to the one with all the fucks in it.
Planned obsolescence
Look at all those tiny homes!
Nothing wrong with Electric vehicles, it's the batteries that are the problem. Electric motors are superior to internal combustion in almost every way.
Batteries don’t fucking grow on trees.
This needs to be spread on FB and Twatter, stat. Go to those darkside lib forums and drop this on 'em.
The Austin Mini was getting over 50 mpg 1959. Jusayin...
What a waste indeed.
Toys have batteries. Cars have internal combustion engines.
Where all bad ideas should go.
Lets not even talk about the cost of generating the electricity that runs these EVs
Is there an article linked to this image?
Should be easy to get parts for those cars since every one is THE SAME. Looks like a good subject for a jigsaw puzzle.
