Went to Lowes today and like every other 9 out of 10 trips I leave pissed off without what I went for, today it was the cause of a "coin shortage" . I go to pay for my items and the clerk tells me there is a coin shortage therefore I can either round up my total or use a card, I immediately asked for a manager .... Manager comes over to explain to me there is a "coin shortage" again I may either round up my total if paying cash or use a card, I explained to her I am in business and deal with a few different banks and there is no coin shortage that I have seen, she goes on to tell me their coin supplier is Loomis and there is a shortage with them, I asked if so, why should their prob cost me $$$, she asked how ..if loomis is playing games with the system and Lowes is either in on the game playing with loomis which I am sure is backed by the fed or simply too lazy to find a different coin supplier or send a manager to a bank, then it is their problem. Why would you round my total up and not down ???? You are providing a lower level of service to me. She said that is how it is I am sorry what else may I do to help you today. I said you can put this stuff back on the shelf I am DONE shopping here. does anyone have any evidence of loomis being instructed to play games with coin circulation with box box retailers ?? This coin shortage is such bullshit

grooming to get us off cash. doubt Lowes is cleaning up on loose change, but the banks are squeezing us to go all digital.
I believe this is the case. The pennies with copper are already worth more in copper than their face value, and this will significantly expand in difference as time goes on especially if we switch back to a Gold standard
Easier to commit fraud too when we're full on card.
You know how many thousands of people never check their bank statements and are getting ripped off?
Also easier to "control" us when everything is linked to a "card". The evil Gov. can shut us off at any time for any reason. This is one reason our youth has been "trained" to use debit/credit" cards for everything. IMO
Pennies switched to zinc in the middle of 1982. It's just a copper coating now.
Nickel and dimes contain metal more valuable than the face value of the coins. If it weren't illegal to melt them down, you could make unlimited money buying nickels for 5¢ and melting them down for 6¢
We have 2 large glass jars. One we dump pennies in and the other gets the "white/silver" coins. I figure no one is dumb enough to steal it bc they are too heavy to run with and would weigh down pockets. LOL Maybe I'll use them to "trade" with the survivors of this coming universal meltdown.
You get busted doing it. Either your bank rats you out or the company that buys raw metal does. In any case, Loomis could be under increased scrutiny.
Regardless, it's pretty shitty that companies are just rounding up cash transactions and expecting customers to eat the cost.
And Wayyyyyy too many ppl think that’s great ...... I’m old enough to remember when debit cards came on the scene. I was always a cash man and though to myself look at these idiots with these cards not even carrying $5 in their pocket ... W T F !! .... that was 20+ years ago .. if we look back when did that become popular and common place ...... 98-99-2000 ish .... just in time for the patriot act to be rolled out and kick in in 2001 tighter clamping down on our cash limits and so on..... right now it’s so obvious is sick and ppl still can’t see what’s going on
Me too !!! Took me several years to get a debt card and I swear I didn't use it for the first year. And also. I still carry and use cash. I actually get a kick watching these millennials try and count change. Especially with finger nails that are like an inch long .
Remember when you went out you always needed to make sure you had dimes to make a phone call in an emergency? Then inflation....you needed 25 cents to make that phone call bc there were no cell phones back then.
Oh yes.... Then after like 5 minutes you had to add an nickel or something like that
Remember when making a long distance call when you were away at college or away from home, you had to go through the operator and reverse the charges ? LOL Riding the "city" bus and having to pay 3 cents for a transfer ticket? LOL I know, I'm really dating myself.
Lol
Yep, I bet we are similar in age.
I hate to break it to you but debit cards were introduced like 40+ years ago so you are older than you think… kek…
I worked at a small bank in the 80’s doing some of the first debit trials in the city where I lived and I had my first debit card in 1982. I will never forget the first time I used it to take money from my account, I received the cash and it never left my account (basically I got money from this new fangled machine for free). Even after reporting that to my employer it was still never taken out of my account.
At the time I thought ATM machines were the best thing since sliced bread that gave out free money. Oh how times have changed.
When I grew up some friends didn't have a phone and I would ride my bike 2-3 miles just to see if they were home. I'm pretty old but I can still open up a can when I need too 🤣🤣😂 He's a little story my son says blows his mind. At 16 I forged my mom's signature and had a smoking permit in school. I'd be out side ripping butts with the teachers hahahaha ( smoking is bad. I quit many many moons ago )
Guess, I'll start carrying my piggy bank into the stores with me, so I can shake out enough pennies to pay with exact cash. Paying with all change would be great. How long will it take the cashiers to count all those pennies?
Wish I could like this 1000 times. Yes! Pay in pennies!!
Better yet, roll the pennies, short every roll 1 penny so they all are the same size, give yourself a 2% discount if they are too lazy to open them and count them out, let them make the change out of your last roll, that way they are the ones giving you the discount unknowingly. It'll also help them with their "coin shortage" so maybe they be thankful for all the pennies you brought to help them out.
lmfao, genius
No stop you’re being too cruel
I'm old as well as old fashion. We still pay for our groceries etc. with cash.
That’s great! Awesome if it’s actually a “pig” style bank. The thought brings a smile.
Hodling!

God I hope you’re right ape!!!
Fed Says There's No Coin Shortage, Just a Circulation Problem https://www.businessinsider.com/fed-says-no-coin-shortage-just-circulation-problem-2021-6
Sounds like the fed is panicking
failing to get coins to merchants in the United States is like failing to get water to thirsty people...
oh, and that is next.
My point is this. If Lowe’s truly isn’t in on the bs then they should find a diff coin supplier or some how someway not make it inconvenient for the customer and not push the digital bs..... if they believe in what we are here in the USA they wouldn’t allow this bs in their stores. OR they would round down.... we are talking pennies on every sale for stuff that is already way over priced imported junk. I have no prob leaving there without buying anything. I’ll go to the local plumbing supply place tomorrow morning and. Buy my imported fittings from him but at least hand my CASH to a patriot biz owner ...
If they cared about their customers, The manager would take cash bills they have and go to the nearest bank to swap it out with coinage and return to the store. It's not that fucking hard. Apparently your location Lowe's doesn't give a fuck about customer service. I bet their shelves are sloppy and alot of their prices are outdated. Lazy assholes.
Sounds like the Lowe’s in my town. Absolutely the shittiest customer service around and run by the dumbest people in town, I can’t stand that store, I try to do as much shopping at the smaller store as I can. It’s hard though when I’m looking for something specific.
We Don't shop at Lowes, we usually go to Menards.
Fuck John Menard
Lost at least one sale for less than $1. They’re not too swift are they?
On another note, the DS is pushing this covid shit again. Old lady at work started wearing a mask again. They said stocks are crashing because of covid. They’re plotting something.
Oh something is brewing no doubt about that and it’s prob gonna be worse than last year
The truth is that big businesses couldn't care less about profit.
I hope so! I’m loaded up in gme and amc
Globalist company pushing for crypto... time to revert back to cash which is untraceable BTW
I must admit. I have a huge big container of change and I'm keeping it
Communism is ALL about shortages.
TP. Kleenex. Lysol. Rubbing alcohol. We just lived a year of being unable to get common goods. I ordered a GE fridge half a year ago. Still waiting.
It's very simple. They want us overstressed, broke, sick, full of fear and anxiety, isolated, faceless, jobless, hopeless, afraid of dying, and fighting each other. That way we're easy to control.
Shit...my fridge is about to die. Where did you order yours that it's taking so long?
Local appliance chain called Famous Tate
Guy says it's the same everywhere - if it ain't in stock, you got to wait
Ugh that sucks...thanks for the heads up
So please explain all these Coinstar kiosks then.
Bunch of BS.
Wonder if it has something to do with the "round up" campaign to "donate" to charity programs.
I have seen that in several stores lately. It asks that you "round up" and donate the difference to a charity.
I donate directly to the people who need it the most, not to some bloated unknown, charity.
I also don’t donate so big companies can take the tax write off— not me
Pay in only coins from now on. Coin shortage problem solved.
I will only give them zinc pennies
I have some lead pennies that belonged to my parents.
Lowe's is one of the few based stores so not gonna let coin issue get me that worked up. i never had to wear a mask at Lowe's and they've always seemed like a patriotic company unlike home depot ceo that talked shit...forget what but think it was in relation to the Jan 6 "insurrection"
The founders of HD are based guys but the company has done a 180 ever since those guys relinquished control of the company.
I have a working theory (with some insider knowledge) that Lowes and Home depot were in on the lumber inflation so I wouldn't be suprised.
Gas station Qwik Trip did the same thing to me, Except in a different way.
Bought a Coffee for $1.79 and gave the clerk $2.00
Expecting the change of .21 cents back, they actually handed me a receipt that said "credit .21".
I asked, "What is this and where is my change?" The clerk responded with, "I'm sorry, there's a coin shortage right now and we are told to give store credit for your remaining change. I can refund you and you can pay with a card if you'd like."
I took the receipt to not be an asshole, but that was about a year ago and haven't been back since.
Deep state cabal, sustainability key word for population control https://www.loomis.us/about-us/sustainability Maybe they’re running out of 💰 money 🙏 “central banks” But I don’t know enough about the financial side of things
Banks actually have too much cash right now and not enough debt on the books. The reverse repo market is at record highs every day. Think of it this way - money loses value over time (inflation), debt owed to the bank is considered an asset and they make up for inflation's affect on money by charging interest on the debt that outpaces the inflation rate.
Simply another example why big biz and big box stores have ruined this country .... this example would NEVER have happened at a local mom/pop hardware store that does biz with a local bank..... these big places deposit every penny and rely on cash deliver of $$ for operating cash ... that’s totally insane and putting all control in the hands of those delivering your cash, in this case Loomis who is DS controlled or owned
The reverse repo market tells you a lot about what’s going on. This is banks returning cash to the fed in return for T bills. In a healthy, expanding scenario the reverse would be true; banks would be borrowing from the feds to make loans. But in this case they are all running away from retail loans. WF just announced no more personal loans or lines of consumer credit would be issued. Why would they do this? 2 possible reasons; (1) they fear a massive recession in which people would default on the loans OR (2) they are expecting massive inflation which would make the time value of money far greater in the present (you would be paying them back at a later date with money of less value.
The problem I see is that when banks stop issuing loans the and money in circulation starts to drop it theoretically should drive deflation, not inflation as you have less dollars chasing the same amount of goods. Here’s the kicker though, have y’all gotten the Biden stimulus letter/child tax credits that started in July? How about the home owner stimulus plan about to be unleashed by Biden? These are fiscal stimulus attempts to continue to increase the money supply because the banks are no longer willing to take on the risk and do so. The effects will be the same - inflation and the banks know this. After all, inflation is nothing more than a massive tax on the low-middle class earners without actually ‘raising their taxes’. For low earners these effects are devastating as all available funds are already spent on daily necessities. For middle class it consumes all of their available flex money. For the rich it barely registers as a speed bump.
That’s my take on what’s going on.
Q post list of central banks, federal reserve https://qposts.online/?q=federal+reserve+&s=keyword
Rockefeller system. Jekyll island in Georgia Where it began
Lowes is part of the cabal. Shop at Home Depot.
The coin shortage feeds their narrative for virtual money. They want to control how you spend, where you spend it and the items you may purchase. The coin shortage builds a crises so that the consumer screams, "Government come save us". Then they can fulfill their agenda.
The coin shortage is just as fake as the lumber shortage, the gas shortage and coming soon to a neighborhood near you, the food shortage.
I've been seeing signs at the grocery store and take out places claiming coin shortages. However, I am the Queen of coins! I have small little drawer type thing in my car and dump all my coins in there. I ALWAYS have coins. LOL
Alternate theory: inflation is so bad that nickels, dimes, and copper pennies contain metal that is worth more than the face value of the coins. Take nickels for example, you can "buy" nickels from your bank for 5¢ each, but if you melt it down you can sell the metal for 6¢. If you do this enough times, you can become a billionaire.
The obvious deep state fix for this problem is to create an artificial coin shortage.
Before we go off on a wild goose chase:
It is a perfect way to steal money under the guise of a perceived problem. It simply increases their cash flow. IF they would round up AND down, that would be a different matter.
Solution would have been to either pay with coin and even allow for a small discount for the effort to alleviate a coin shortage in their coffers.
Or
They would simply go to a bank and exchange green for coin.
But, it is on you to pay the exact amount.
So my first suspicion would be: they are fucking their customers over to have a higher cash flow.
At the same time, they promote card payments to loose the cash issue.
In the current climate, expect to see more shit going on, where paying cash gets punished with surcharges.
divided by x customers paying cash.
Is that a costs of service that they want to run? Or will they debit your check with a surcharge?
Would that costs them turnover and clients? It is all a matter of risk assessment.
Some states have a buyer protection law that requires retailers to charge the smallest price marked on a product (i.e., shelf tag doesn't match price marked on the product) -- perhaps a law like this would apply to them trying to rip you off. An independent dealer would be more likely to round down and sue loomis for their losses. In reality, the independent would just get coinage from the local bank.
If your purchase is more than about $40, they are paying more than the maximum $1 in change due you for the payment card processing fee (approx 2.5%) and they don't have to wait to receive it. They are stupid or corrupt -- probably both.
Maybe take all your change to Lowe’s and pay that way. Tell them you solved their coin shortage!
Yo if it bothers you keep some fking rolls of change and sell them the rolls of change, all you need is $20 and you can have a $10 roll of quarters, a $5 roll of dimes, two $2 rolls of nickels and two 50¢ rolls of pennies. They have literally no excuse to not take the coins, give you a $20 bill and a heartfelt thank-you. Stupid fucking store. Please do this with a stupid-cheap item and report back results.
Based /s
But this is a spectacular way to troll "coin shortage" fuckers
