I truly look forward to the day I look at a TV and see the story of how some dude killed 20+ police because they pulled the sort of bullshit they did on the guy in this video but someone was ready for them and blew up all their stupid fucking toys. It is inevitable it will happen. The police no longer just pick on petty crooks, gang-bangers, mental defectives, and dumb-asses. They regularly fuck with vets, former cops, and people who actually know how to fight back. At some point someone is going to actually fight back for real and I'm going to laugh my ass off. See Killdozer and Bundy Ranch. Don't doubt... the day is coming.
Just from that video, those officers were justified in what they did. If you not only point a gun but shoot multiple times at them, they are totally justified at shooting your ass, no matter what they were called there for.
They went there, were calm and respectful, but because they worried for his safety & others after he slammed the door in their faces, they stayed to try and speak to him through his window until he pointed a gun at them. Then they brought in the swat team and an negotiator tried to get him on the phone 70 times, but was only able to speak to him a few times. This whole thing lasted 9 hours.
As he is speaking with the negotiator he starts firing shots at the police vehicles outside his home and probably hitting neighbors homes across the street from him. What if one of those bullets killed a neighbor or a child in the neighbors house? Meanwhile the officers had yet to shoot back.
I do think them breaking his windows was over kill and not needed. But he shot multiple times through his windows before they broke his windows. Sounded like he shot more than 10 rounds at the police. They never shot at him into the house, the shot him when he came out of the door into his garage (garage door was open), then he pointed his weapon to shoot at the police officers, that's when the officers shot him. I say they used a lot of restraint. You actually think they wanted to shoot this man? If they did those first officers would have shot him through his window when he pointed his gun at them through the window. Why would they spend 9 hrs trying to talk him out if all they wanted to do was shoot him?
My husband is a LE officer and my son was one until he found another job just recently closer to home, my father in-law was a police officer. I know many in LE, and I can tell you (at least where I live) police aren't like that. I couldn't even count the times my husband has given breaks or given money to people to help them out. He's helped people changed tires on sides of roads (working & off duty). He brings food to people in need.
So yeah I take exception to your tirade against police officers. Maybe where ever you are police do things different. But I will back officers every time. If one does wrong I will admit that one officer did wrong, but I don't label them all the same just because one or a few does something wrong. Maybe you should ask your local LE if they have a ride along program, and if so, go on a ride along and see what officers have to deal with on a daily basis.

At this point no oneshould fear these clowns.
First, they are 20-25 years late on a nationwide seizure gambit. Guns are now so entrenched in the US it is beyond the Left's worst nightmare, beyond anything they could have ever imagined. It isn't just the hard right anymore buying them (and an easy target), gun ownership has skyrocketed amongst all groups. A summer of rioting in blue cities was a wake-up call for them too.
Second, this is a reactive not proactive ploy that reeks of panic. Very much like the recent Russian ammo ban, this is not something thinktanked by Rand Corp. but more like a snarky 30-something White House staff idea. It is not deeply complex nor inescapable. A good deepstate tactic would be both and once you saw it coming it would be too late.
Third, you can make your own gun. Parts kits, 80% frame/receiver completion, and 3D printed (FGC-9), or even simple a WW2 Filippino pipegun can be made by anyone at any skill level. The gun control house has burned downed and nothing but smoking rubble remains. And all this on top of millions upon millions of never papered private sales. The Left knows this and is powerless to do anything.
Fourth, who is going to come take them? The State does not have the manpower to do it. Even if everyone in the military, police, sheriff, private security contractors, etc. was dragooned you are still millions upon millions of people short to do it. And if they try word is out and other gun owners would have a response. And after that response greets a few siezure teams enthisiasm would drop, fast.
Fifth, all this does is further affirm who the Left is, tyrants desperately working towards total and unopposed control. The boot coming down on your face, forever. See them for what they are, communists, fascists, & Marxists, everything they say they oppose.
Come knock door to door for weapons check and see what happens. I would never sign up for that job because it would be equivalent to Normandy.
