5th circuit is under Justice Alito, who has recently supported citizens in NY being able to carry for personal protection on the Subway as well as was the Justice who allowed PA GOP motion to keep late ballots separated in 11/2020. So, if it goes up to the Supreme court, he has a very constitutional background. Just more information

This is going to be a battle that goes back and forth the next 50 days. Hope for the best but be prepared at the same time. Don't wait till January 3rd to start planning.

Stocking up on essentials now isn't a bad idea given that inflation is rising very fast anyways.

And then there is major uncertainty with the job market. So keeping an eye on other jobs isn't a bad idea. A lot of times hiring does happen after Thanksgiving so if you want a head start that is probably the best time to send in feelers for job offers IMO.

My reading of the tea leaves suggests that if we don't have clarity on what will happen regarding the so called "mandate" by the first week of December that you should really gear up and have multiple plans in place.

That's the issue...we needs a law passed that unequivocally says it's illegal for employers to require/mandate/force/coerce, or otherwise be involved in any employee's medical decisions, or discriminate in the hiring process and put this to bed once and for all. The penalties need to be extremely severe so employers will go above and beyond not to violate it.

Is that law? Are there loopholes? We need a concrete, spell-it-out law that leaves no doubt, or loopholes, or room for other bullshit interpretations that allow the government to go around them, and extreme consequences for violation. After what these vax mandates have put my, and millions of other families through, enough is enough. Not that they follow it, but maybe we even need a constitutional amendment clarifying additional liberties that the government can't take away under ANY circumstances. NONE. No emergencies, nothing.

I'm starting to think this is all a setup for 2022. Biden hits court blocks so gives it to congress and the Dems push legislation and all the RINOs, who fucked us over for the last however many years, will heroically beat back the dems and pave the way for re-elections as the American public forgets the real issues and call them heroes for standing up to the dems, just like always. RINOs get back in office and continue to help destroy our country through smaller legislative chips and chunks until they need a new dem bill to fight to secure their next term again.

No, the big case for the federal workers and contractors is in the 11th circuit (which is under Clarence Thomas so that’s hopeful), and the last I heard out of that is that the government has to provide some data by 15 Nov for the first hearing. I think a DC judge also told the feds not to fire anyone while the court case is pending

When was this order by the DC judge? Hundreds were laid off last week (not this previous week but the week before, 10/27) because they refused the jab. My friend couldn't find another job before the mandated date, so got the jab. Pissed me off, she's not too happy about it either. She knows it's bad for her. I told her .. but what's going to happen if you get sick or die from taking the vaxx, your job won't matter then (this was before she got it), she didn't know. But the federal contractor company fired hundreds. They have to be fully jabbed by the 8th of Dec I believe, so I guess 2 weeks prior to Dec 8th. I hope she will be able to get a job offer before then.

The article I saw was dated 29 October. I got the notice about 8 Dec too, then on Friday got word it was pushed back to 4 Jan... but I know some companies with more liberal corporate staff are pushing the mandate more aggressively than they need to... Can't wait to see them get there asses sued, or tried in the Nuremburg style along with the political crowd depending how things shake out.

I finally got to get back on here and top of the hot list is this. I'm stoked! Hoping runs deep for me. My company said they would follow osha and sent the email saying they will be watching and discussing what the next step will be. My next step was to retire. I'd fight it if fired, but I have pension I would lose in that case. I retire, I get money and I'm able to find another job somewhere. Doing something. But what? My industry thinks osha is God. Petro-chemical.

Hold out till the last minute, save all email communications, record them with a phone app when in person or while in a conference call (Bluetooth headsets work great for this as they act as another recording mic; better quality recording); especially when they try to make you feel the heat (make sure they know you are recording them, "to keep a straight record of everything said"), ???, retire maybe if they get too nutso-buttso about firing you, as to not risk securing the bag- obviously. But then hold this as evidence for a future date- for sure.

You would then possibly have details that lead to a settlement down the line.

E.g. "I would have gotten a better retirement bonus if 'They' had not coerced me into retiring early; there is/was no way for me to take an experimental MRNA vaccine based on the limited and unsubstantiated medical advice given to me by my employer (which has no doctor on staff either probably)."

Oh I have all the emails, unredacted. I have a small voice recorder that I carry and everyone knows I record them. I turn it on and set it in front of them every time. If they say do this or that, I have it recorded or I tell them to send me a specific email. But, yes, this is sound advice, for sure. Im sure hoping the house bill passes. While I fully support these actions, I am deeply concerned that Centers for Medicare services (CMS) issued a vaxx mandate effective 12/5 and do not provide for a testing option. This means that any Medicare provider, i.e. physicians, hospitals, clinics, therapy groups, Nursing Homes, hospice, and Home Health care are required to get 1st vax by 12/5. This mandate could substantially reduce our access to medical care. I am concerned that OSHA's mandate is overshadowing CMS.

The greater than 100 people was through coming through an OSHA ETS which they just finalized. The employers that are already mandating are doing so because if they receive any federal funds they are considered federal contractors.
