Re: Slap Shot it is just about perfect. Besides it being a 70s film where race / gender depictions were accurate you can watch and see a funny sports film. Or you can analyze it and see everything wrong with the system, intentional tax write offs, & planned failures along with hype and PR campaigns moving the masses. Great stuff and one of Newman's best. Not quite at the level of The Hustler but his don't give a crap swagger is hilarious. I need to rewatch again.
