I am really happy, encouraged, and proud off what Canadian's are doing to protest and redress their grievances with their government.
However, I think it is a poorly thought out plan for US truckers to join them. This will easily open up the option for Canadian government to reframe the legitimate protest as being brought about by foreign interference. The US truckers presence in Ottowa will inadvertently provide cover for Canadian government to delegitimize the entire affair. This may also lead to confiscation and detainment for any US trucker participating in Canadian politics via this protest.
It seems exceedingly suspect to me that the Canadian border in multiple places all suddenly gave up on the border entry restrictions. A coincidence that is too convenient to be believed. Someone clearly ordered that the border just let them all through. Since the government is the only entity able to give such an order, it is likely they purpose this US convoy to help the government deal with the Canadian protest.
Frankly, although I am happy for and support the Canadians finally standing up to their governments overreach, I do not believe our (US trucker) physical presence in the midst of their protest will prove helpful to their cause.

Police removing barricades, opening the doors and the people walking in unaware they were being setup to be called insurrectionists and throw in prison. This is how I see the Canadian government using the presence of US truckers.
