The novels selected often push the narrative.
The teachers decide what part of the novel is pushed. That is their job as educators. Let the kids decide if they see it or not. That's what I would do if in that situation.

I don't even have a problem with black history month on its face. I have a problem with critical race theory, black supremacy and revisionist history.
