Yeah, take it from a former EOD tech, 1) that bomb is Soviet era. I'm almost positive Russia doesn't have any Soviet era munitions. Most would've gone inert by now. 2) the metal used is non-frangible, meaning it doesn't creat a spark. Even our tools won't create a spark. This is standard across ALL militaries since before WWII. 3) you don't pour water on a cracked bomb. Ever. 4) the nose fuse is an impact fuse. He touched one of the probes when backing it out and I saw it depress. If that bomb was real, both those two men and the person recording would've been vaporized. 5) looks to me like a training bomb we use to teach other nations how to properly defuse a dud. 6) the bomb casing is cracked, which means it's leaking explosives. PPE would be required in this case, and possibly a robot. Not to mention a blast suit and PPE for his hands. The explosives used today are highly caustic to human skin and mucus membranes. The fumes alone will strip the lung/throat linings. Also, only an idiot would attempt this without the proper equipment. And if we have Spec Ops troops training these Nazi battalions, our guys would've gone over there with ALL the wuipment needed. 7) looks like that bomb has been sitting there for years, exposed to the elements. It's rusted. I'm surprised they were able to back out that fuse. Judging by the corrosion on the bomb casing, I'm surprised they were able to decouple the fuse. It should've been fused from corrosion. Which is why, we usually clear the are and rig for detonation without touching anything that could set it off. 8) most bombs used today, even by China, Russia, N. Korea, etc, use a thermobaric coating. This helps keep heat at bay. A non coated bomb sitting in the sun for years would've detonated just from the sun's radiation/heat in summer time. If not, it would hasten the explosive material's degradation and would become inert relatively quickly. Even in Ukraine, temps in summer routinely hit the 90's. This would definitely create problems.
So, in my no longer professional estimation, this video is either fake, made for disposal training (highly unlikely due to the unprofessional aspects in this vid), or this bomb has Nazi scribblings all over it and that's why it was covered up, someone noticed and questioned it, possibly a media lackey, and they decided to put on a show.
Whichever it is, this is FAKE AS FUCK. If those guys really are U.S. trained (which I highly doubt) they won't last long.
Your estimation is a professional estimation! Just because you aren't paid to do it anymore, does not mean you are not a professional, and more importantly, you ARE an expert!
Frangible means brittle. Frangible munitions explode into tiny pieces, and frangible bullets shatter and scatter when they hit. I think you are saying the bomb is non-ferrous (non-magnetic)?
A nuke is bad enough but spreading covid is unacceptable. Believe it or not, this cloth meets or exceeds the effectiveness of most masks worn by nor covidiots today.
Let's be real like if that bomb went off then that's the equivalent of hiding under a desk or a picnic blanket in a nuclear blast. Which is why it's standard to use robots these days and usually controlled detonation is the easiest and safest way to deal with these things.
I'm thinking it's an early Soviet era bomb, might be from WWII. Every country in the world puts a thermobaric coating on bombs to keep internal temps down, to help keep from detonating in high temp atmosphere.
Does not look like it fell from an aircraft, at least not where it is being defused. No signs of an impact. Looks like it was placed in a really shallow trench. As far as I know, you always defuse bombs in place to reduce risk of them going off. So that is suspicious as well.
Thanks for the doot. I've watched enough television shows to know that's what you do to a person who's had an accident. Some people either don't watch shows with accidents or they simply don't get it. Haha.
Why would there be rust on it as well? At least in my experience as ordinance we demilitarized fucked up and potentially dangerous ordinances. Rust like this one around the detonator would get an F rating.
I guess it could be dirt … just looks like rust to me.
It isn't that hard to spray paint fake symbols. It's likely that they didn't know what exact symbols Russians have on their bombs so they opted not to show anything. In addition, I suspect this is a WW2 relic from a museum based on what it looks like. There probably is a missing casing showing that there is actually nothing inside rather than any markings at all.
Has anyone verified if this was, indeed, aired on Fox News? There is so much disinformation flying around, it's good to verify EVERYTHING. I just noticed that "UKRAINE" at the bottom, is a different font than the preceding "WAR ON", which seems to be a potential flag of a possible fake image.
Once upon a time, at my childhood church, an elderly lady went down—from blood pressure or some such, and while awaiting medics they left her lying and covered her lower half with a similar cloth. For her “dignity”.
In addition to all the other observations, why don't they have any protective equipment on? They're not even wearing a helmet. I would not expect them to use the same blast suite the US defusers have, but at least something. It's like they pulled this together at a moments notice for the photo op.

I appreciate the Explanation and Info...Thank you...
I vote mods make you a Hurt Locker flair. Good stuff.
I second that.

I wonder who the down voters are - more importantly why?
The who -- My faithful dedicated sad trolls...The Why -- Apparently no life...At least I'm living Rent-free...😉🤣
I enjoy your posting @purkiss80 … you always provide new and relevant info. Ty .
Fuck the trolls - glowies - shills …
Thank you fren...I appreciate the support...I laugh every time I see the downvotes cos "they" really are dedicated...🤣🤣
Thats a badge of honor......

I thought it was to keep the bomb nice and warm. What a cute little bomb.
Need to paint a face on the bomb and little hands gripping the top of the "blanket"..
Omg that would be hilarious
Or it was for the sake of modesty, to conceal its genitals.
Do you think it may have been a tranny?
Hadn't thought of that. But if you handle it the wrong way, you will get fucked.
😁😂🤣🤣👍
If so its transition to flying shrapnel was an abject failure...
It identifies as a grenade.
Hahahahahaha
🤣
So they could have used a mask, if one was available?
It is a mask, you got it all wrong!
The bomb needs antiviral protection against Covid!
Did you all learned nothing the past two years from Dr. Fauci?
Sorry, my mistake. I stand infected.
... then I have to social distance from you - right NOW!
A nuke is bad enough but spreading covid is unacceptable. Believe it or not, this cloth meets or exceeds the effectiveness of most masks worn by nor covidiots today.

That looks like a WWII bomb casing they dragged out of a museum for the photo op.

You mean like wipe it with a cloth
No, the bomb did not have "acid" poured over it.
Bomb be like 😵💫
They wiped it after they defused it.
Came here to say this, I'm much too late, updoots to ya
😊
They covered the bomb in case it went into shock. You know how shock is; it could cause it to blow up. Hahaha
it's to help maintain good defusion.

Once bomb was defused … they were all set up for lunch!
Lol some expert, the mfer is pouring water on it haha like the one thing you don't want to fuck with is the electrical wiring/shorting it...
canceling out the possibility of static electricity, probably improvising.
Covering up Ukrainian military symbols

Lol, looks like the one Hawkeye and Trapper had to defuse in a M.A.S.H. episode. It turned out to be a propaganda bomb full of leaflets from the CIA.
Plus it looks like its from WWII.
Guys, it's out of respect for the dead.
You always cover the deads face
They called out the paramedics by mistake. The fuckers are keeping the victim warm with a sheet and inserting a canula for the drip.
Those guys should return that thing back to the museum, it’s getting dirty!

I saw it on the TV and the same thoughts ran through my head, regarding SOP for defusing a bomb.
Is that expert providing the patient water too?
HEY!!! That was supposed to be green for deep fake work.
Lol, give the bombs and millsles their privacy
Man just roll the bomb over a little at that point
Anybody else think that looks kinda............ old? Not 20 years old, but just something older.
shouldn't they also be using a remote controlled robot?
Once upon a time, at my childhood church, an elderly lady went down—from blood pressure or some such, and while awaiting medics they left her lying and covered her lower half with a similar cloth. For her “dignity”.
🤡I think that’s what’s going on here too. 🤡
And no special suits to help protect them if it explodes but then again if something that big explodes they are dead no matter what I guess.
Faux gonna faux I guess.
Along the line of "wiping it, like with a cloth."
This is what Trump sent Zelensky, he thought he was getting javelins.
That thing looks like the 52 Ford pickup in the field across from my house. Is that Bondo on the lower right fin ?
Obviously, the first thing you would do is touch it.

It's to protect the bomb's dignity. Duh.
Nothing suspicious here, move along….
Faux News Strikes Again!
