Yeah, belief is a funny word that can be used in multiple ways.
It can mean belief based on factual knowledge, such as we all believe the GAW forum exists and we are reading it. (Of course we believe it; how could we not? We're experiencing it first-hand with the undeniable evidence of our senses.)
Or it can mean something more akin to faith, or belief in the absence of absolute first-hand knowledge. (As in the belief that God won't let us down in the future, or the belief that Trump will return in the future.)
