But in all of medicine, everyone was already also becoming entrapped by "evidenced-based practice." The evidence comes from the studies in all these journals. Even the oldest episodes were still about an Earth that has largely gotten over its own conflicts and intolerances by coming together in a one-world utopian government, and their military is primarily focused on exploring, outreach, and other community services rather than fighting wars.
It pushed (and showed as best as it could for the time) absolute racial and gender equality. In fact, Roddenberry was planning on adding gay characters all the way back in the 90's before his death. I even recall an entire episode focusing on aliens who had no concept of gender and discussed an analog of conversion therapy.
I honestly didn't expect anything less from the new Star Trek. It's been pushing the envelope on the progressive front for decades. It might dress those issues up in alien make-up, but... that's kind of how science fiction works.

There is plenty of conservative-leaning science fiction out there. Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game) is famously conservative. Brave New World is also a crazily conservative piece of fiction by Huxley. There's quite a few sci-fi classics out there from more right-leaning creatives.

How the Universe Works on Discovery is a pretty good show about cosmology. Narrated by Mike Rowe who knows a lot about many things. The tame scientists are not too irritating.
How It's Made is another good one. Half hour episodes showing how 3 different things are manufactured. My father and I have watched every one of these episodes.

Designated Survivor's far left turn coincided with it's reboot on Netflix. It was awful. Besides shoehorning in the leftist stuff, the change from TV-PG language to nonstop F-bombs was just as bad. Have no issues with dirty words, but it didn't fit the show.
Remember what they did to the young guy in the show. They made him a simp for the serial killer and a cannibal. The most sincere charter in the show. All over his contract negotiations. I'm the same. The Marvel movies were the only movies I enjoyed. The Hobbit ended, I had high hopes for Force Awakens because I hated the SW Prequels but I gave up after that one. Only Marvel remained, but after that I gave up. I bought Guardians of the Galaxy 2 USED so as not to give money to the pedo director. Now I just don't care about any new movies at all. The last recent movie I looked forward to and enjoyed watching was Midway.

Ashamed to admit this, but I was a big American Idol fan. Got sucked in midway through Season 3 and even came back for three seasons when ABC rebooted. At the beginning of Season 19 (or Season 4 on ABC), they showcased a teen trans contestant. I shut off the episode, canceled my DVR recording and never looked back. All scfi from my childhood. They killed everything. Then my comic book superheros, now superman is gay and has renounced his American citizenship. Captain America is a Nazi and a deep undercover agent of hydra. All of my heros are being race and gender swapped. The new star trek called STD has only females on the bridge and any straight white male is a red shirt who gets gruesomely killed in awful ways. meanwhile the writers have no intelligence to write science fiction. It's just a propaganda platform. They desecrate and destroy the fandom. Is sad and obnoxious.they gleefully admit it's to destroy and anger the fans. Awful people. I hope someday an adult gets ahold of these franchises and rebuilds them. To be honest though it's too late and the stories have done too much damage. The older fans have walked away. Their are no new fans.this was pure cultural vandalism. They destroyed what they hated. They are no better than the Taliban blowing up ancient structures. The loss is forever.
Ashamed to admit this, but I was a big American Idol fan. Got sucked in midway through Season 3 and even came back for three seasons when ABC rebooted. At the beginning of Season 19 (or Season 4 on ABC), they showcased a teen trans contestant. I shut off the episode, canceled my DVR recording and never looked back. In light of Disney's most recent antics, it makes more sense. I won't sanction child abuse, ever.

Many people that get through the auditions are plants. (Or know the producers)
they set rules, regulations and stipulations on contestants yet consistently and knowingly break them
I saw more than enough truly talented people get the axe in order to make space for a fool in a chicken costume
the voting system, haha. Much like our government, the outcome is predetermined much in advance to maximize drama/tension

Remember the similar show that was INXS looking for a singer? Holy crap on a stick... how hideous was that, they picked a guy who bent over and stuck his ass out for the judges. I reached my Gay pandering limit right then and there. Permanently
It was clear (at least to me) they put through some subpar talent to make sure their chosen ones weren't impeded in their march to glory. It was a big guilty pleasure, and when I was asleep I had an encyclopedic memory about the most obscure contestants.

I have not actually stopped watching anything but there are some programs that are teetering on the brink. Doctor Who is certainly one of those.

Arrow, 1st 3 seasons were amazing but after that they sent kind woke. There was even a brief period where fans bit of MAGA hoping to "Make Arrow Great Again". Apparently the shoes producer is gay and he eventually added a gay super hero to the mix. It became unbareable to watch

Just about everything on History Channel. I remember when the History Channel focused mainly on, oh I don't know, history! Now all they play is "Ancient American Pawn Picker Aliens". And if they do have anything historical it's loaded with wokeism. Also, any program centered around the Bible is sure to try to explain it away as either lies, fake or just natural occurrences, no miracles.

I loved It’s Always Sunny; the last few seasons have been a little woke but I can handle that. I have a problem with their using Gods name in vein every 5 seconds. Its too much, feels like a sin to enjoy anymore
