They absolutely killed....KILLED...PUT INTO A COFFIN.....Doctor Who. And very quickly after announced a lot of fan service things. But itS too late....they do not get it. THEY KILLED DOCTOR WHO.
It started with that "vulnerable" twit who came after Tom Baker. I never watched any other shows regularly except Seinfeld, when laughing at wokeness was ok . However, the periodicals I read went that way too: National Geographic, Smithsonian, Science, Scientific American, American Scientist. All the comic books. The children's books. This has been going on over a generation now.
I never finished the David Tennant years, I was already way behind at the time because the newer seasons took forever to get to the USA and saw enough clips on YouTube of what was coming that I lost any desire to catch up to that point.
No, I look at Pub Med and follow internet trails. I forgot to mention a few medical related journals but they all started rotting long ago, like 40 years. The psychologists went woke first and hardest; the nurses floundered through professionalism (i.e. why don't we have the clout doctors do), then feminism, now wokeness; the NEJM has always had arguments and politics clouding their research. But in all of medicine, everyone was already also becoming entrapped by "evidenced-based practice." The evidence comes from the studies in all these journals. H/t to AshlandDog for this explanation: https://rwmalonemd.substack.com/p/the-illusion-of-evidence-based-medicine?s=r
tldr Big Pharma is choosing the evidence you must believe. The enforcement is "Standards of Practice." Standards always existed, that's how you defined malpractice basically, it didn't meet standards. If standards aren't met, it is grounds for discipline. The standards now are heavily influenced by the "evidence. " You can see how Big Pharma took over. Wokeness is just the poisonous cherry on top.
Saturday Night Live. Watched it a lot in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Then we started taping it and would fast forward through anything that was too woke, especially during the 2016 election. Eventually, it was all woke and stopped watching it completely.
Star Trek. Stacey Abrams and the M-2-M love stories, and the trans characters with confusing ungrammatical pronouns resembling Dissociative Identity Disorder or MPD. Hearing voices used to be called schizophrenia.
To be fair, though, Star Trek was ALWAYS a progressive show. Even the oldest episodes were still about an Earth that has largely gotten over its own conflicts and intolerances by coming together in a one-world utopian government, and their military is primarily focused on exploring, outreach, and other community services rather than fighting wars.
It pushed (and showed as best as it could for the time) absolute racial and gender equality. In fact, Roddenberry was planning on adding gay characters all the way back in the 90's before his death. I even recall an entire episode focusing on aliens who had no concept of gender and discussed an analog of conversion therapy.
I honestly didn't expect anything less from the new Star Trek. It's been pushing the envelope on the progressive front for decades. It might dress those issues up in alien make-up, but... that's kind of how science fiction works.
Oh, I didn't mean to imply that science fiction is typically liberal-leaning. I meant more that science fiction works by taking familiar stuff and dressing it up with lasers and tentacles.
There is plenty of conservative-leaning science fiction out there. Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game) is famously conservative. Brave New World is also a crazily conservative piece of fiction by Huxley. There's quite a few sci-fi classics out there from more right-leaning creatives.
Yeah, it's definitely a twist that's hard to keep secret after all this time, but definitely worth it if you are lucky enough to find someone who doesn't know it.
As soon as I saw it announced that the lead character is female but has an obviously male name I knew it was not going to be worth my time. It wasn't even a tomboy thing like Samantha going by Sam (like Stargate: SG1), it was Michael instead of Michelle. STD is a very apt acronym for Discovery.
yea its not star trek, I know all of the trek was kinda hand holding we are all humans, but it was kinda low key and I took it as the others had to evolve quick because of external threats from space or some shit like that. It really didnt bother me in OS, TNG, Voyager etc
But the new ones are all white man bad, and dumb. I just cant watch that shit. In star trek diversity, the main character is a black dyke who calls herself michael.....what the actual fuck.
I loved Friends, you have no idea. It made me laugh when I had cancer when I felt there was nothing to laugh about. The show ended before the wokeness began. BUT I started to hear things about the devil worshipping, saw a sick tweet posted by Courtney Cox. Knowing what and who these people really are, tv is ruined for me.
You are right about that. I have to say I never paid attention to that. I liked the friendship between the six of them. Like I said I was very depressed during cancer and that made me laugh. It's weird letting go of it. But I have. I want nothing to do with pedophiles and satanists. I had a cat named Chandler Bing, lol. He unfortunately had severe asthma and passed. Let me tell you I had that cat to the vet a lot and they loved his name and him. He was a tiny little thing, never got to probably 5.5 lbs, poor thing went through a lot. I have a 24.5 lb cat now named Joey, lol.
I read somewhere about Satanic rituals performed on the set of Friends. I've no idea if there is any truth to that, but at this point I'm no longer surprised by anything anymore.
I was the same until a trusted friend recommended it, the director of that reboot is so mad that "Afterlife" picks up from "Ghostbusters 2" and renders his film totally non-canon. The writing was decent in that none of the male characters are incompetent (for example it's the white boy who fixes up the Ecto-1 and does all the driving) and I'm sure wokels were mad that the black chick actually had to be rescued at one point.
Not a TV show, but I quit reading National Geographic magazine many years ago. They forgot who they were and turned into a massive pusher of science propaganda.
How the Universe Works on Discovery is a pretty good show about cosmology. Narrated by Mike Rowe who knows a lot about many things. The tame scientists are not too irritating.
How It's Made is another good one. Half hour episodes showing how 3 different things are manufactured. My father and I have watched every one of these episodes.
They openly admitted that the show is a liberal platform. They are so hostile to the original show that Shatner was not invited to an anniversary celebration for the show. They even symbolically killed the creator of the show in an episode. The dink writer said he inserts things into the show specifically to upset the fans. On purpose he is destroying and attacking the fans of this once beautiful IP.
The first episode of Picard season 2 showed a bit of promise, then the second episode talked about how they have to go back to 2024 to fix the timeline and I just noped out as I can guess what kinda crap they're going to try to pull.
After they go back to 2024, they have to battle "ICE" because of course time travelers are illegal aliens, because even though they can replicate food, they can't forge a driver's license. So Captain Rios gets deported to a "Sanctuary" that is clearly applying for asylum on the other side of the border, and it's supposed to be the worst thing of all because of the mean ICE man. It's cringe. It really becomes propaganda at that point, not art.
It had a relatively short run but Brooklyn 99 was very entertaining until the last season when the wokeness became intolerable.
But as for other shows, they nearly all devolve into sickening wokeness and cheap, immature sex jokes.
I've watched every episode of CSI. All 3 series. I was super excited for the bringing back of Grissom with Vegas, but I heard they immediately started the cringe with the new episodes, so my interest is dead in the water.
They weren't even good at integrating it into the series, it felt SO forced. Like, I thought the way they did the gay captain and his husband from the beginning made for some funny moments, and they're great characters. When Rosa suddenly had to deal with being bi, it just got really weird and suddenly everyone got all serious half the time.
Designated Survivor. Keifer lost his entire 24 conservative audience with weekly, liberal platitudes he spouted as the president. And I'm close to tossing in the towel on 21 years of Survivor and transgenic sob stories being thrown in my face.
Designated Survivor's far left turn coincided with it's reboot on Netflix. It was awful. Besides shoehorning in the leftist stuff, the change from TV-PG language to nonstop F-bombs was just as bad. Have no issues with dirty words, but it didn't fit the show.

Really looved the book (and to a lesser degree, the movie) Ready Player One.
So when Ready Player Two was released last year, snapped that book up quick. 🤮 I've never actually wished i could UN-read something. It was horrible bait + switch. They made something really nice, only with the intention of getting kids hooked so they could cram the indoctrination in HARD. It's horrible.
Isn't the backstory of "Ready Player One" that a worldwide pandemic caused everyone to become socially isolated, the economy collapsed leaving most in poverty and then everyone ended up in some metaverse as a result?
Yeh... that's fairly accurate.
At the time it seemed great.
With zero research we stumbled into the theater on vacation in (2018?), pleasantly surprised by all the 80's chochskies. So much 80's stuff in the movie.
At the time, we didn't know about metaverse or covid. So it seemed innocent. And, the book, maigosh. The prototagonist has balls in the book! Several male characters do that are sissified for the movie.
All scfi from my childhood. They killed everything. Then my comic book superheros, now superman is gay and has renounced his American citizenship. Captain America is a Nazi and a deep undercover agent of hydra. All of my heros are being race and gender swapped. I've been watching the Johnny Carson channel. It is so striking in how in depth and great his conversations with his guests were compared to the sleezy Kimmel or Colbert show.
I think Craig Ferguson saw the writing on the wall and bounced out before they turned the wokeness up to 11.
I'm the same. The Marvel movies were the only movies I enjoyed. The Hobbit ended, I had high hopes for Force Awakens because I hated the SW Prequels but I gave up after that one. Only Marvel remained, but after that I gave up. I bought Guardians of the Galaxy 2 USED so as not to give money to the pedo director. Now I just don't care about any new movies at all. The last recent movie I looked forward to and enjoyed watching was Midway.
He's said several times that is why he doesn't do interviews or guest appearances on other streams. He has joked a few times that he'd like to get invited onto Timcast just so that he can say no and mocked how Tim Pool acted like he didn't know who he was after seeing a clip of the Rumble CEO being on Timcast and mentioning that Salty Cracker is the biggest stream on Rumble.
Ashamed to admit this, but I was a big American Idol fan. Got sucked in midway through Season 3 and even came back for three seasons when ABC rebooted. At the beginning of Season 19 (or Season 4 on ABC), they showcased a teen trans contestant. I shut off the episode, canceled my DVR recording and never looked back. In light of Disney's most recent antics, it makes more sense. I won't sanction child abuse, ever.
Remember the similar show that was INXS looking for a singer? Holy crap on a stick... how hideous was that, they picked a guy who bent over and stuck his ass out for the judges. I reached my Gay pandering limit right then and there. Permanently
It was clear (at least to me) they put through some subpar talent to make sure their chosen ones weren't impeded in their march to glory. It was a big guilty pleasure, and when I was asleep I had an encyclopedic memory about the most obscure contestants.
Not a show, but we encountered censorship in jackbox party pack last night. Certain controversial words were not allowed in the game Quiplash. I don’t think it was there last time we played a few weeks ago.
I have not actually stopped watching anything but there are some programs that are teetering on the brink. Doctor Who is certainly one of those.
Formula 1 racing is also becoming difficult because black people who earn over $1,000,000 a week are taking the knee to show how hard life is for black people.
I gather the latest James Bond film is a bit woke as well so I might not bother.
Arrow, 1st 3 seasons were amazing but after that they sent kind woke. There was even a brief period where fans bit of MAGA hoping to "Make Arrow Great Again". Apparently the shoes producer is gay and he eventually added a gay super hero to the mix. It became unbareable to watch
Just about everything on History Channel. I remember when the History Channel focused mainly on, oh I don't know, history! Now all they play is "Ancient American Pawn Picker Aliens". And if they do have anything historical it's loaded with wokeism. Also, any program centered around the Bible is sure to try to explain it away as either lies, fake or just natural occurrences, no miracles.
I loved It’s Always Sunny; the last few seasons have been a little woke but I can handle that. I have a problem with their using Gods name in vein every 5 seconds. Its too much, feels like a sin to enjoy anymore
Star Wars
They absolutely killed....KILLED...PUT INTO A COFFIN.....Doctor Who. And very quickly after announced a lot of fan service things. But itS too late....they do not get it. THEY KILLED DOCTOR WHO.

Not killed WITH woke crap, but KILLED because of PC crap - the original Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond & James May.
They just worked so well together. The faux replacements ARE crap....
Yes!
Pro Sports
Yup, I was a huge NFL fan for over 25 years and quit cold turkey after the first week of 2017 when they were still kneeling.
MLB - I was an even bigger fan of. Lost interest completely after they wore BLM tshirts in 2020. That one hurt my feelings, lol.
Never watched anyway. No loss, no foul.
Saturday Night Live. Watched it a lot in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Then we started taping it and would fast forward through anything that was too woke, especially during the 2016 election. Eventually, it was all woke and stopped watching it completely.
I was a MADtv guy growing up.
I'm squishing your little head between my fingers....
I loved that show as well. Too bad it didn't last.
Star Trek. Stacey Abrams and the M-2-M love stories, and the trans characters with confusing ungrammatical pronouns resembling Dissociative Identity Disorder or MPD. Hearing voices used to be called schizophrenia.
You're gonna love this. She plays the "President of the United Earth".
Dear lord, I regret watching that. What a bunch of trash all around.
she be a kang.
King-sized.
To be fair, though, Star Trek was ALWAYS a progressive show. Remember the weirdness of TNG season 1 when they still had the minidress uniform and you occasionally saw a dude in the background wearing it?
Oh, I didn't mean to imply that science fiction is typically liberal-leaning. I meant more that science fiction works by taking familiar stuff and dressing it up with lasers and tentacles.
There is plenty of conservative-leaning science fiction out there. Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game) is famously conservative. Brave New World is also a crazily conservative piece of fiction by Huxley. There's quite a few sci-fi classics out there from more right-leaning creatives.
Man, I loved Ender's Game. I did not see that coming

I watched the first episode, well most of it anyway. I then deleted it and the other two or three episodes and never watched it again.
yea its not star trek, I know all of the trek was kinda hand holding we are all humans, but it was kinda low key and I took it as the others had to evolve quick because of external threats from space or some shit like that. It really didnt bother me in OS, TNG, Voyager etc

Even the new Picard is woke AF. They go back in time to 21st century, and of course choose racism as a main premise.
Coming up Lord of the Rings on netflix fron what I hear.
I need to watch the trilogy again for the zillionth time just to cleanse myself from the preview of that new bs!
Law & Order. Especially SVU.
After Stabler left. Then it became The Olivia Benson Show
Good god, right?
Exactly! Ugh.....
It started years ago but just became intolerable in the last 5 or 6 years. I still watch reruns but wont watch the crap ones.
We were on a break!
Lol, and I side with Ross on that. Not saying its right but they were.
Friends was the show that started the "I have 2 lesbian mommies" crap. And Chandler's "father" was a female actress playing as a transvestite man.
I am glad it made you laugh and helped you. God gives us grace and mercies to lift our spirits in dark times.
Yes he does. I was to dumb to see than then.
I read somewhere about Satanic rituals performed on the set of Friends. I've no idea if there is any truth to that, but at this point I'm no longer surprised by anything anymore.
I heard it as well. I can't be sure of any of it. But I did see a sick tweet from Courtney Cox.
Ghostbusters
"Ghostbusters: Afterlife" was surprisingly decent though.
Thanks for the recommendation.....My comment was a top of my head reaction... you know, to get the conversation started..
Good to know...the preview was clever
Not a TV show, but I quit reading National Geographic magazine many years ago. They forgot who they were and turned into a massive pusher of science propaganda.
Ding! Yeah. Get you on that one!
Nova. Used to love this science show and now it’s shit
Find any good alternatives? Same boat.
I loooove how it's made.
That kind of stuff is fascinating
Love the howitsMade series... didn't know about the Mike Rowe program, I'm going to check it out for sure.
Thanks!
Star Trek; Why did they have to put a politician, (and a bad one at that!) in the episode!!? Just because she's a black liberal?
They openly admitted that the show is a liberal platform. They are so hostile to the original show that Shatner was not invited to an anniversary celebration for the show. They even symbolically killed the creator of the show in an episode. The dink writer said he inserts things into the show specifically to upset the fans. On purpose he is destroying and attacking the fans of this once beautiful IP.
The first episode of Picard season 2 showed a bit of promise, then the second episode talked about how they have to go back to 2024 to fix the timeline and I just noped out as I can guess what kinda crap they're going to try to pull.
Back to the Future 4: Orange Man Bad.
Yeah they lost me when La Migra came in and the reeeeeeeeees that followed. Fucking lazy writing too. They just ripped off Star Trek 4
Oof I just got to season 10 for the first time. Looks like cringe time is coming.
The language thing happened in Damages too. It was so ridiculously out of character for everyone to fucking cuss constantly!🐸
I too only watch shows with the word "survivor" in the title, I find it really limits my options.
The Simpsons
Pro football 😩
Remember what they did to the young guy in the show. They made him a simp for the serial killer and a cannibal. The most sincere charter in the show. All over his contract negotiations. They removed him and made him out to be an aweful human being. It was gross and I walked away its was so out of character. It was pure spite.
SVU did that too
Really looved the book (and to a lesser degree, the movie) Ready Player One. You didn't miss anything!
Law & Order: SVU

Have not watched "Hollywood" TV or movies in the past 20 years.
Except for the "John Wick" series of films.
I stopped with Marvel after "Avengers: Endgame", as far as I'm concerned the MCU is over anyway and even without the wokeness I was burnt out on the concept. I haven't watched any TV series in several years either.
I've been watching the Johnny Carson channel. It is so striking in how in depth and great his conversations with his guests were compared to the sleezy Kimmel or Colbert show.
I think Craig Ferguson saw the writing on the wall and bounced out before they turned the wokeness up to 11.
Yea, I believe entertainment is mostly to pacify the masses. Kind of like drugs!
I just don't have the time or interest in the boob toob!
I have too many hobbies; a couple of old cars I tinker with, prepping, competitive shooting, SCCA pro solo and spending time here!
Back in the day always enjoyed Seinfeld and SCIFI like the Stargate franchise and Far Scape.
Well, I just don't find "entertainment" entertaining. I do watch YT/Rumble etc.
Salty Cracker is really entertaining! Alt news sources.
I am also active on Ebay to supplement my "retirement", usually doing that for a few hours in the evening.
I also do consulting on prepping & personal safety issues. Have put together bugout bags and other prepping packages together for newbies.
What's funny is he suffers from social anxiety. You wouldn't know it watching him.
I've been watching prison break and it's been really enjoyable so far. Halfway through season 3.
Vikings Valhalla was awesome, too.
I worked on both Idol and X-Factor.
Rigged doesn’t begin to describe it…
ex-Idol junkie enters the chat...
Many people that get through the auditions are plants. (Or know the producers)
they set rules, regulations and stipulations on contestants yet consistently and knowingly break them
I saw more than enough truly talented people get the axe in order to make space for a fool in a chicken costume
the voting system, haha. Much like our government, the outcome is predetermined much in advance to maximize drama/tension
That was just what I saw in 1 season. Don’t get me started on the “talent/hosts” and their true nature.
Thank you for the insight! This all makes sense, although I am curious how Season 9 had nothing but guitar players of various genres. I blame Ellen 😁.
Figured this would be the case. Thanks for clearing it up!
He-Man
All of it?!

Not a show, but we encountered censorship in jackbox party pack last night. Certain controversial words were not allowed in the game Quiplash. I don’t think it was there last time we played a few weeks ago.
Wow, I wonder if I'll no longer be able to use @realDonaldTrump in the game "Surviving the Internet."
Thats new, I have used an array of horrible words on Quiplash but its been ages - what was censored?
That's a real shame. I own every one but the current one. Looks like I won't be buying them any more.
Anything you loved. Anything I loved. Anything mildly popular.
Star Trek :( I used to love me some Star Trek. I simply gave up on it.
Slightly off topic since it hasn't gone Woke yet. But so far it's why I'm really enjoying Cobra Kai.
Especially when Johnny tells his student to kick the Woke pansy in the face.
Just about everything on History Channel. I remember when the History Channel focused mainly on, oh I don't know, history! Now all they play is "Ancient American Pawn Picker Aliens". And if they do have anything historical it's loaded with wokeism. Also, any program centered around the Bible is sure to try to explain it away as either lies, fake or just natural occurrences, no miracles.
start trek discovery
I loved It’s Always Sunny; the last few seasons have been a little woke but I can handle that. I have a problem with their using Gods name in vein every 5 seconds. Its too much, feels like a sin to enjoy anymore
