It's about mind control, not profit. They lose control of the narrative they lose control of "perceived reality"...the deep dream

Most of the largest stockholders don't give a shit about the money because they are wealthy as fuck.

It's about maintaining a stranglehold on the propaganda stream.

God always does have a plan, but on the individual level, some of us may not live to see it from this realm. Lord knows, many are already in that boat, but they have the best seats in the house.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– basilpesto 3 points 4 years ago +3 / -0

So true, the ‘plan’ is in affect and some, maybe all of us here may not see the end.

But I think we look at these things too externally. What matters is the time we have on this earth. What are we doing with our own time?

Even if this country turns around, it will not last, this same shit will happen.. again. It’s a constant fight to stop evil from decaying the world.

This being Easter, a good reflection. The cabal of the time crucified Jesus, even He decided against using the ‘fix it all up’ button, but his presence and story echoes throughout time and eternity.

I mean, if you really stop to think about it, a bunch of anons who identify themselves as pedes, slinging memes, discussing the Great Awakening, and trolling each other for fun… on the internet. Strange world! 😉

Obviously something more is afoot here - yes Trump has been de-platformed, but one can argue that was always the plan to begin with. Optics is important after all, Trump needed to be completely out of the picture.

However, there are many others, who are STILL on Twitter, and I’m just flabbergasted on how they have yet to be kicked off the platform… yet.

I've never heard how something that has no ads and no user fees can stay afloat, regardless of how many people use it. Where is the operating money coming from? It seems like it has just been a huge pyramid scheme all along, with some relatively small amount to start it, and then the stock sales keep pumping money into it, but ultimately, it HAS to collapse, if there is no actual revenue stream.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– NeuroticFisherman 2 points 4 years ago +2 / -0

Twitter makes it's revenue from ads and selling user data generally. Twitter has historically had a problem producing net profit, but for a while recently there's been a number of net profitable quarters for Twitter. It's not total losses, cuz they do bring in a crap load of money from selling ads displayed on Twitter and in people's feeds and selling user data. It's just that they have not reliably produced net profit despite their big revenue stream.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– PhDinNY 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

The ads must be subliminal, because I've never noticed them :) (now I need to look when I check the site (I only look at twitter posts when on a laptop, so perhaps ads don't appear there?))

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– NeuroticFisherman 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

If you have an AdBlock on your laptops web browser, then there's a good chance they wouldn't show up when you see. They definitely show up on mobile and in one's feed in general. Twitter does make their ads look like genuine posts often though, similar to how Facebook has made ads look like just another post on your timeline. So, almost subliminal if you're not paying attention and you think it's just a post of some random thing one follows lol.

It’s the nature of the financial markets. All these companies trade at a multiplier from what they’re actual revenue or earnings are - which is indicative on how ‘healthy’ the company is.

For the longest time, Amazon kept losing a shit tonne of money because their operating expenses were so high (they kept reinvesting into infrastructure, etc). Now Amazon basically controls the eCommerce sector and Cloud services.

The stock market is entirely all speculation. You’re not really a shareholder UNLESS you purchase your shares via DSPP (basically directly from the company). If you use a Broker, you really don’t own these shares. It’s like storing Gold in someone else’s vault.

It’s actually quite fake if you look into it, but only because it’s not a free market economy. The Gov printing money IS the root of all these issues.

I have a suspicion that the Russian military personally are probably the most hardened in the world right now (maybe Chinese as well).

The US military, generally, has decayed or grown weak by ‘corporate culture’, politics, leftist agenda.

Rome was the military super power. Discipline, virtue, merit, succession planning, … but over time, when the political class grew weak, at some point so did the military. When the men in the Military go weak, that’s a sign the empire is losing the Culture War.

It really makes a lot of sense. Musk fits into almost every semi woke to woke "cult-you're" and his financial success meets the requirements for right leaning business minded folk.

His success doesn't make sense and his disposable wealth is of interest....being funded by .gov makes sense as well.

Factor this into 13848 and the timing of all the power CEO's "retiring" and it makes more sense.

The final exam question is was the mask mandate used by the good guys as cover to move military assets around undetected and do the dirty work.

I think there's a solid possibility if not probability.

Sounds like a line from Silicon Valley.

It was interesting learning about how the rich live. There's a Hispanic guy building his channel that is exactly like the successful people in my family. The other rich dudes give him shit for spending a bunch of money every day on food but since he grew up poor he said he would never worry about the cost of food if he ever got his shit together. So while most rich dudes on his podcast talk about never eating out or buying coffee he's like yeah I just spend $150 a day on getting my family whatever they want.

As long as people keep using Twitter (or Nitter, or any other open source mirror site), it’s not going anywhere. No matter what Elon does/doesn’t do. Its the second largest social media in the world, and a good large percentage are not going to stop using it, no matter who is/isn’t in charge (most normies don’t know or care to), as long as the convenience and access to the website still exists. The idea that Elon dumps Twitter and everyone just hops off Twitter is pure hopium and should not be anyon’s realistic expectation.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– basilpesto 2 points 4 years ago +2 / -0

True true.

But Twitter is hardly the 2nd largest in the world, that’s a Western view of the ‘World’. Not saying the other big ones are any good either!

We need a decentralized social media platform, they do exist, but the UX and reach is horrendous at this point.

TS, even good, is entirely at the whims of any Government controlled entity.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– JessWithTheMess 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

It actually is, if you consider Youtube a search engine vs. a social media platform. If you do consider the latter, then Twitter would be 3rd, but still not far. Also this is considering Facebook/Instagram/What’s App as the same platform since they’re owned by the same company now.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– basilpesto 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

Twitter is far below the list fren, the massive ones are Meta properties (FB, Instagram, WhatsApp) yes, however if you remove them from the list, Twitter is still small in comparison.

You’re forgetting WeChat, TikTok, QQ, Telegram (more MAU than Twitter, imagine that), to name a few. Twitter is quite small in comparison.

As time go by, Twitter seem to be losing users (or not growing as fast) as the other platforms.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/04/14/elon-musk-make-a-massive-proposal-offers-to-purchase-twitter-for-41-billion-with-plan-to-take-company-private/

"The only way Twitter, with 217 million users, could exist as a viable platform is if they had access to tech systems of incredible scale and performance, and those systems were essentially free or very cheap. The only entity that could possibly provide that level of capacity and scale is the United States Government – combined with a bottomless bank account.

If my hunch is correct, Elon Musk is poised to expose the well-kept secret that most social media platforms are operating on U.S. government tech infrastructure and indirect subsidy. Let that sink in.

The U.S. technology system, the assembled massive system of connected databases and server networks, is the operating infrastructure that offsets the cost of Twitter to run their own servers and database. The backbone of Twitter is the United States government.

There is simply no way the Fourth Branch of Government, the U.S. intelligence system writ large, is going to permit that discovery."

permalink save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– basilpesto 2 points 4 years ago +2 / -0

On the scale and performance side that’s not necessarily true. The big cloud companies have incredible scale, data centers everywhere.

There are a number of pedes here who have deep knowledge on stuff like this, can’t recall their usernames. but from what I do know, the scale part is there, it’s not on the Gov side.

But, a lot of folks don’t realize that the actual physical backbone of this magical thing we call the internet is entirely controlled (and regulated) by Big Gov.

StarLink is very dangerous to that monopoly.

I think sometimes the great reset and the one world economy along with the deep state and the central bank elites running our government are a much bigger problem than most people think. I believe they've not only created, but also, own, control, pay and have paid for companies using the governments money, that with we the peopleshave bought and paid for with our hard earned, US tax dollars. For companies such as Twitter, Facebook, Amazon , Google, Microsoft, and all the other various social media and news platforms. It's always been part of their (leftist) one world, one party, plan from the start. They not only want to control us but every part of our lives us in what we do, how we do it, what we eat and even how we think and make decisions.
