I recently spoke to a guy who is STILL outraged that the 'Russians' bought ads on FB and helped Trump win the election. OUTRAGED. Smh. Wonder what he'd think of sixteen and a half million fake people.

Retaining_H2O 22 points ago +22 / -0

Evolution and 'survival of the fittest' used to weed people like that out of the gene pool.

YugeBallsBelieveMe 16 points ago +16 / -0

He won’t care unless the fake people tell him to be outraged

bubble_bursts 12 points ago +12 / -0

I wonder if he would be as outraged if someone came to his house, destroyed all hsi stuff and stole his kids? Nah, I dont see why he would be.

MICHIGANisRED 12 points ago +12 / -0

"It's okay when demtards do it, because Trump is literally Hitler."

guru_meditation 3 points ago +3 / -0

Next time you meet him play the "NPC sound" on your phone every time he speaks (I mean that background music for NPCs, from the game..)

muhqtardtho 3 points ago +3 / -0

Those videos are so trippy when the npc isn't clearly on drugs.

bubble_bursts 23 points ago +23 / -0

May I be bold enough to predict > 50% ?

gnuguy 31 points ago +31 / -0

I think >50% is closer than the 5% reported. I think Elon knew going into this. He will either kill twitter or buy it on the cheap on the lower valuation. Plus, criminal charges against twitter management for fraud? I think so.

Shareholder class action lawsuits can be effective.

What-Me-Worry 10 points ago +10 / -0

Maybe we'll find out that the entire platform runs on taxpayer funded C|A servers? 🤷‍♂️

Maybe normies will learn that Fakebook and Twiddler spy and track us.

Who are the real fascists?

Devolution1776 [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

I agree with you, Bubble. My gut tells me it’s far more than 5%. We have the right to know!

TheJake 9 points ago +9 / -0

5% may be spot on...but the number of real users.

InmatesRunTheAsylum 4 points ago +4 / -0

Shit. People on twitter used to always call me a bot. Last time that I checked, I'm still unjabbed and carbon based.

Blue-collar745 4 points ago +4 / -0

Isn’t Reddit in the 70s

MICHIGANisRED 22 points ago +22 / -0

Maybe his plan was never to actually buy Twitter, but rather just jump through some of the hoops in order to expose to the public their shady business practices? Just throwing that out there.

jackrotten 6 points ago +6 / -0

I think the entire purpose is to expose the propaganda accounts and who they truly belong to

Moman 5 points ago +5 / -0

Or, expose the corruption and buy for a ¼ of the price.

EstebanVargas69 12 points ago +12 / -0

Now do fake votes in the 2020 (s)election

What-Me-Worry 8 points ago +8 / -0

Since the train🚂 is starting to roll, let's count fake naked stock shareholders that the SEC turns a blind eye to.

Who is Peter Strozk's wife?

Ans: Melissa Hodgman

ElegantVelociraptor 6 points ago +6 / -0

This train has no brakes!

muhqtardtho 2 points ago +2 / -0

Remember the movie Money Train? What a silly movie.

QDay 11 points ago +12 / -1

I have outlined my speculation on this a couple of times.

Twitter Bots == Manipulated valuation and revenue for twitter.

Somewhere along the line the social media companies turned these fake bots into fake people and have also been collecting government stimulus as a person.

They then used their fake bot - people army to vote in the 2020 election.

Mad_Maximo 9 points ago +9 / -0

Even if it's 5% as a "small" number, the frequency these accounts work could dwarf your own numbers of actual people activities. And it's usually the case 10-to-1.

repeatoffender 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yea, I'd like to see the percentage of real tweets vs. bot tweets.

Devolution1776 [S] 9 points ago +9 / -0

“330M,” sorry.

JonathanE 9 points ago +9 / -0

What I'd like to know is how they 'know' it's less than 5% in the first place in order to make that claim.

If they 'know' why the hell aren't they removed?

Cheesemaker 8 points ago +8 / -0

Because the bot owners probably also get promoted by twitter for a fee. Twitter is a business and they sold their soul a long time ago.

TheJake 6 points ago +6 / -0

My bet...its on 5% real users.

Scorpion76 6 points ago +6 / -0

How many paid fake accounts will be found belonging originally to the media, DNC, Gov, CDC etc.

Many! Musk ain't stupid, the evaluation will need to be adjusted downwards when it all comes out.

Analophigus 4 points ago +4 / -0

Well when you put it that way… 5% doesn’t sound unreasonable. Wow.

DinosaurAlert 4 points ago +4 / -0

A "spam/bot" account, by definition, isn't lurking and just reading tweets.

The "top 10%" of twitter users are responsible for 80%+ of posts and are mostly politics.

So, if you say "Only 5% of users are bots" that could be a huge, huge percentage of actual-users-who-post-shit.

Twitter might be telling a misleading truth by saying only 5% of users are bots. 5% of the users being bots could result in 30-40-50% of tweets originating from bots. The more telling stat would be which percentage of tweets/likes/etc are by bots.

ToxicLibertyism 4 points ago +4 / -0

I'm wondering how many of those bots were built with my tax money, and directed by US govt. goons.

Zappo 4 points ago +4 / -0

Once again, Rush Limbaugh was right! MISS him!

jackrotten 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's upwards of 65% bots and 30% bots at minimum.

Twitter has had 300m "accounts" since 2015 that has only grown to ~396m in 7 years? The only thing that has changed is Twitter's ability to detect spam and bot accounts and manipulate what you see and who you see via the algorithms. It wouldn't be hard for them to lie and hid the amount of bots registered without removing those bots, because they're using them for propaganda.

They've turned dead/abandoned accounts into propaganda bot accounts, which is why you see some real people with real names carpet bombing with shitlib tweets. And of course they've made a bunch of new ones, especially in the year leading up to the 2020 election.

And none of this is factoring in real people then engaging and retweeting these bot account tweets.

Goodkarma 3 points ago +3 / -0

Could this be “4-6% gone forever” in post 529?

suave200 3 points ago +3 / -0

I would think the number of bot 'tweets' compared to non bot 'tweets' would be a more important metric of the amount of fraud.

HumblePede 3 points ago +3 / -0

There is no way the bots make up only 5% of twitter users. No way. It's way higher than that. I guarantee it.

dildoschwaggins 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nothing short of YUGE damage....

UnidentifiedWhiteMan 2 points ago +2 / -0

They should just remove the API to tweet completely.
