If I understand your usage of phase 'Now...not so much" to mean at some past point China feared moving on Taiwan because of perceived strength of US military, but China no longer afraid to have it's way with Taiwan because US Military has been weakened.

I am Taiwanese. I don't believe Taiwan is controlled by White Hats. Everything the Leftists are doing to this country, infiltration at every level, changing the language, changing the education, changing the history, defacing statues / architectures, changing the culture, inciting kids to "protest", deploying militant assholes to intimidate dissenting views, inciting race wars, divide people along racial lines, etc, have already been done by the Taiwanese leftists over the last 40 years. The current President is Taiwanese Hillary Clinton. Her first act was to legalize gay marriage. She donates billions to 3rd world shit-holes, while locals are suffering. When kids "protest", they are guests on CNN and MS-NBC, and celebrated as heroes of democracy. I believe that Globalists controls most of Taiwan. There are eerie similarities between what happened in Ukraine and Taiwan. The same playbook was deployed, absolutely. Don't believe what you hear about Taiwan in major US outlets. It's bad.

This observation may sound harsh but Taiwan's hands are not totally clean and it's absorption may be the price to pay for Xi's participation when he is done he will be able to say for the first time in decades there is only one China. The missing piece of the puzzle is that China has a vast propaganda arm and is preparing to attack Taiwan. It's to China's advantage to plant the idea that they are actually white hats and the country they are about to invade are black hats, and they almost certainly have been doing so. Their ally Russia was extremely successful in getting .winner support for the invasion of Ukraine because the Ukrainian regime was composed of Nazis who persecuted their own people, and that resonated with us. China thinks if they can spin Taiwan to look the same then they can win in the court of public opinion.
If Taiwan doesn't have the same "feel" as Ukraine it's probably because it's a totally different situation. China is as evil as anyone and has always opposed Taiwanese independence even though Taiwan is not a major military threat to China. If China invades Taiwan it's not to help Chinese citizens in Taiwan or shut down illegal biolabs, but simply to take their land and industries. China is literally our enemy. Nobody here can tell you why Taiwan is more of a threat to us or the world than China, some people just assume it because Taiwan is the US' ally and the US has had some bad relationships recently, so Taiwan must therefore also be a bad ally.

Literally zero alternative explanations of Q have ever made any sense compared to the real one, a military intel officer and his small team dropping bits of secret intel over time about a covert military operation, in order to develop a team of online warriors to redpill the masses ahead of a grand reset of the world by good people instead of power-drunk tyrannical cannibals.
While I appreciate your opinion, I believe Q is simply one piece of a much larger plan, run by the military and directed by God, that cannot be rationalized and segmented into different pieces. It's best to look at it as a whole unit that served a purpose on the overall plan.

I'm mostly here for the memes and the interesting articles, but sometimes I just see some nonsense and need to call it out. I'm not anti-Q but I'm definitely not on board with most of the "Q-nalysis" that goes on around here and the dubious conclusions people often reach by it. I'm "pro-Q" so long as it seems to be leading us a positive direction, but if Q is just "the latest thing" then I can't really get onboard with it. Most conservatives outside of this board have roughly the same opinion as me, that China is kind of evil and Taiwan hasn't really done much of anything to us that anyone can actually point to. Sure, take that with a grain of salt. Or do some research and prove me wrong, whatever suits you.

From what little I have gathered, Taiwan is an artificial fulcrum point, much like Serbia in WW1 and Poland in WW2, but this time also serving as a deterrent for the CCP in China.
How is it a fulcrum? By ensuring that the most crucial electronic components for weapons systems (in addition to civilian stuff as well) is monopolised by Taiwan, it creates a balance of power. Any country/cabal faction that tries to go their own way can be brought to heels by cutting of its supply. This also means that if you force one faction/country to attack Taiwan, it will force every other faction to join the fight. So it is a great WW3 trigger fuse.
How is it a deterrant to China? Just like Hong Kong, Taiwan is right next to China, full of biolabs and the Cabal can unleash all kinds of targeted diseases if they nee to. Additionally, they can create social unrest and what not.
Until Taiwan is disarmed, China cannot go fully against them which means fall / liberation of Taiwan is very necessary before the Awakening happens.

You can leave China and travel, but only for essential travel. And if you believe the stories coming from the legacy media, there have been many reports on Chinese social media about authorities intentionally defacing passports to invalidate them. This renders the individual to need to apply for a new one to travel, which currently takes months.
