He sued her for Defamation on 3 counts and she countersued him for defamation on 3 counts.
He won all of his, and was awarded $15 million - struck down to $1,350,000 due to limits of Virginia law.
She won 1 of her counts, and was awarded $2 million. Basically Depp's lawyer had made comments in the press about her trashing their penthouse and blaming it on Depp, but was unable to prove it.
My take away has to do with Adam Waldman, a Depp Washington D.C. lawyer (not part of his team at this trial) and his role in using the media to release the dog bots of hell (twitter, facebook, reddit, etc) on Heard.
Has a parallel with this episode of U.S. entertainment history...
