Taiwan didn't officially have jab-mandate, although not sure if the companies did it in place of the government. But Taiwan did impose lots of contact tracing (via cell phone) and mask enforcement. Most people feel that is the government "doing something" and "protecting everyone" and shamed those who don't follow. Recently, my dad had a show on and it was celebrities taking turns singing ad lib phrases of a song with "Get vaxxed" every few lines. Health care is so cheap and the service so great in Taiwan, but now I feel like it is a facade and/or to gain the populace's trust for now... Most government things start out cheap (at least from customer's perspective) & decent until they take over and don't need to be cheap & decent anymore. I trusted Taiwan's health care system until covid began. Major covid push right now in Taiwan; makes me think of those biolabs there people keep mentioning.

I don't trust Western medicine either. Taiwan's medical system has been taken over by Western medicine I think. Eastern medicine is looked down upon and suppressed by the establishment. Probably not just a western vs eastern medicine thing, and just on which establishment/agenda is dominant behind the medicines.
From what I see, I don't think the feminine male thing has caught on in Taiwan compared to Korea and Japan. And definitely the plastic surgery hasn't caught on as it has in Korea. The rainbow parades seem to have increased in number the past decade though. I think Taiwan is still mainly in the "feminist movement" stage. I think China's constant threats of invading Taiwan the past 50+ years or so has helped Taiwan's populace from being too complacent in that regard. That said, a lot of Taiwanese get their international news from CNN. And, they are very fearful of covid even 2 years out. For example, I think there was news that a factory that manufactured HCQ burned down in Taiwan in the early days of covid, but there was a Taiwanese media blackout about that... So very suspicious. I'm worried about the whole China vs. Taiwan thing though, but not much I can do except pray and analyze events as they happen.

Personally, I believe most freedom fighters share a single trait. That trait is a higher level of consciousness. We have stronger awareness of our surroundings. We can easily see people for who they are within minutes of meeting.

The communist party is desperately trying to maintain power, but I think it is inevitable and they will lose control. 13 different ethnicities and multiple different languages have been the biggest barrier to unifying the people against the communists, but no system lasts forever. My final note, there is only one race of people on this planet. We are all human.

The company I work for was bought out by a taiwanese company. They sent a bunch of them here to work and they've made no effort to learn English but I've been studying so that I can decipher what they're saying. Asian stereotypes say that they're hard working and more intelligent. Nothing, from what I see, is further from the truth.

My girlfriend is southeast Asian and she does not understand why I value freedom so much. Asian culture is essentially "the nail that sticks out gets hammered down" and they are taught to conform and not think or do anything different. Essentially putting what is perceived to be good for society above themselves and their family.
European culture is putting their own family and self before society, which may seem selfish on the surface but makes for a much more free, creative, and innovative society. After all, innovation is only possible when one is willing to think different.
