Electric cars is just another form of control. With an electric car it will only drive you to government approved locations, will probably voice record you non-stop and drive you off a cliff for wrong think. That's if it does not catch on fire. I'll stick with my combustion engine.
It won’t be long until “door locks” are no longer manual. How the hell do you get out of an electric car if the battery dies or it catches on fire and shuts the system down?
This is not a frivolous question. The battery in my car is at the very back of the tailgate. And the tailgate is -- you guessed it -- electrically operated. So when my battery died, the tailgate wouldn't open and I had to get into the passenger compartment, so I could disassemble the trunk area from within and finally reach the battery. Installing the new battery was even more fun.
So yes, having everything dependent upon electricity is not a good idea.
It's a worse car, worse for the environment, more expensive to buy and maintain. It has one leg up on the IC car - acceleration. Would you trade everything you like about your car for some vroom vroom? Be careful.
They can/could do all this on cars with internal combustion engines as well. Nothing special about electric vehicles in this regard. They just need to prevent you from using older dumb cars, which they government already do.
This will make the coal industry happy, unless Biden puts a limit on coal mining too. This would mean you now have an expensive dead car sitting in your garage. Nissan is no longer taking 2023 orders for their electric car Ariya , because of a semi conductor shortage “Caused by Covid.”
It's even worse than that - how much diesel fuel is used in the heavy equipment used to mine the rare earth metals used to make the batteries for this car? How much fuel was used to transport that material from China to the US so they could put it in the vehicle. How much electricity is lost through resistance in the transmission lines from the coal fired power plant to the charging station. If you consider all those factors, this "clean car" uses more fuel than a monster truck.
Every time I see a monster truck, it reminds me of the scene in Idiocracy with the "Dildozer" and "Ass Blaster" trucks against the car that barely runs.
The Art of "Double-speak" is a skill of saying absolutely nothing while sounding extraordinarily genuine or smart. By example, one I like, "For the first time in a while, I woke up this morning and realized I genuinely felt more like I did then than I do now."
I actually do know! A 2019 Chevrolet Volt will get about 60 miles per charge, and in my neck of the woods (north ATL), it costs about $0.92 to fill up daily assuming that I use up the charge entirely, so assuming that you drain the battery completely everyday or the month, you’re looking at $30 a month for around 1,650 miles of electric charge. Not to mention, the Volt still comes with a 4 cyl engine that gets about 42mpg. As for charging at home, @120v you’re looking at 8-12 hours of charge time, and 5 hours @240v
Wow thanks for that information. I had no idea. Now I read an article on this site that hemp batteries are cheaper, provide more mileage than the lithium batteries. I heard that an electric car battery is several thousand dollars. Is that correct?
They gotta start a new graft for a.new century and EV and "clean energy" are it.
Watch as untold tens of billions of your money is used to make a "green industry," which will all coincidentally be run by family members or friends of Congress.
Watch as EV are actually super-destructive for the environment and is completely unfeasible at this time, and how this will be ignored.
Watch as more of your freedoms are taken away from you as you are forced to rent an EV that doesn't work half the year because it's too cold.
Watch as newscasters who are paid to sound serious and read the words written for them parrot how this is a good thing and anyone against it is a white supremacist.
I loved my Volt. It was reasonably quick and had tons of torque. You got a very cheap 50 miles before switching over to gas. The problem I ran into was some tiny fuse/relay/modules blew up and they were/are on nationwide shortage - for over a year. You literally can't get parts to fix them - but at least GM will fix it for free whenever those parts eventually come in.
EVs are a dead end. They are designed to be an investment failure; a very large one too. This is because the ruling cabal don't want you to own a vehicle or property. Those who 'believe' in the EV 'KoolAid' are the lemmings being used to stampede the rest of us off the proverbial cliff.
Have you ever wondered why Kars-4-Kids incessantly airs on television? Who funds them? Running commercials are very expensive. And who would donate their vehicle for a "tax credit" and "vacation voucher"? The 'tax credit' ought to provide a clue to the people behind Kars-4-Kids. And it ought to provide an insight what this is all about. We have all heard of similar program used to 'get' guns off the streets. The agenda here is the anti-2A proponents claim there are "too many guns in America". The Kars-4-Kids program is telling us the same Marxists think there's too many vehicles on the streets and they want to eliminate your Right to own a vehicle.
It's a big con game for ending private ownership of automobiles and to force everyone to take mass transportation. This will be forced on us just like the face masks and 'COVID' vaxx. Most people will not be able to afford or depend on EVs. Biden said 2 years ago he was going to put the oil industry out of business. Today, Secretary of Transportation director Pete Buttigieg confirmed forcing the public to take mass transportation is in fact their plan.
This is not the CEO, I worked for that communist company for a few years, I know that damn CEO Bara's face only too well, this woman is some spokes-hole.
Late for the drone bus? Back in your Home Pod civilian, you will be fined and lose your meta verse access for 48 hours. Until you ESign the aggreemnt pdf sent to your mindlink Alexa will not allow purchases. Thank you, have a great day citizen.
This all stems from the big lie that “fossil fuels” are fossil fuels at all. You mean to tell me petroleum is liquefied dinosaur/associated creatures from that era, and is a finite resource? It isn’t. It’s produced almost continuously. The same lie is told about diamonds, they’re as common as glass but the supply is controlled by DeBeers to keep prices up.
Oil is not produced continuously, but there's more oil deeper than what has been drilled than there is water in the ocean (including the oil underneath the ocean). Enough energy is ready to be discovered by true geniuses (not educated eunuchs) as there would be produced if everything growing on Earth burned continuously for a thousand years.
Instead of calling these vehicles electric vehicles, we need to rename them coal burning vehicles. So how many miles does your coal burning vehicle get? That will piss of the greenies / lefttards.
"clean" electrical vehicles are charged from a power grid that's 95% coal powered.... His words not mine. Which means this is just mental masturbation for the virtue signalers. A good reason to gorge your nose palet on your own farts, is what electric cars are....

Electric cars still have a separate 12 volt system for everything other than propulsion - electric windows, locks, HVAC, etc.

The show "upload" has this concept.

So we need T Shirts that say "Support coal, buy an electric car"

With the bs go green push and their desire to detroy the country I could see this happening anyways just to drive up electrical costs this winter.

And at least monster trucks are kind of entertaining.

If you're a talking head and you're not smart, you should at least be attractive.
Like Joy Reid?
At least Fox News had that aspect of the equation figured out.
Dumb fuck. Corps are All full of them in leadership roles.
Starting to mimic governments "fuck up, move up" mantra
Always has.... (Would insert gun emoji but apparently my phone got rid of it... 😑)
Yes but we are trained to avoid our shit too.
explain

...did that help?
Top kek.
Or...
I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure that what you heard is what I meant.
Runs off Lansing grid....Lansing electricity is 95% made by coal
Stupidity should be painful
They were hoping that question wasn’t asked. How much does it cost to recharge at a recharge station and how long does it take, does anyone know?

Yeah, batteries are expensive, they’re huge batteries!!
They gotta start a new graft for a.new century and EV and "clean energy" are it.

You would think, but its not really that way in the real world.
They didn't foresee the question because the press wasn't supposed to ASK the question. Slowly, VERY slowly we are seeing chinks in the armor.
I loved my Volt. It was reasonably quick and had tons of torque. You got a very cheap 50 miles before switching over to gas. I’m assuming a 2017 with the BECM issue?
Bingo!

Correct, it is not Mary B. At any rate, she should have chosen someone else to be spokesperson about where the magic charging energy comes from…
yeah when they become self driving, what happens if your car drives to work without you in the car...?

Peeking Under the Myth of Peak Oil

Well, she's clearly not qualified. That is a White woman. They needed to hire a Black trans.
Does she have any experience at all in the vehicle industry? Is she even a car girl?
She was the "Volt" girl at last years Detroit auto show.
t shaped battery so all passengers are immolated...
Instead of calling these vehicles electric vehicles, we need to rename them coal burning vehicles. So how many miles does your coal burning vehicle get? That will piss of the greenies / lefttards.
Does anyone else feel like this exact same situation happened a year to 18 months ago?
Still a stupid idea, including the tesla. Until you can power it with out a plug..forget it.
Jeez, how can they be so dense.
I swear alot of people think they are charged my magic, or the sun.
Why not skip the middle man and power the car on coal? Stokers to the boiler room! The captain wants more power!
You mean coal trains??? Hoss bosses is what those are. Love the way the old trains looked
clean coal
I come before you, to stand behind you and to tell you about something I know nothing about.
"clean" electrical vehicles are charged from a power grid that's 95% coal powered.... His words not mine. Which means this is just mental masturbation for the virtue signalers. A good reason to gorge your nose palet on your own farts, is what electric cars are....
I like the EV concept, but it's not practical for most applications.
The Volt can be. It’s a plug-in hybrid. 60mi of electric range, and 360mi of gas range on a 9gal tank
This is old, but I guess some people will get something out of it if they missed it the first time.
If it really is new, recent history is repeating itself, almost verbatim.
If you can get ticketed for "rolling coal" in your diesel, then shouldn't these coal powered EV's be ticketed as well?
Baaahahaha
..." about 95% coal " do u understand that !
