oh, one more thing, be sure to start your car and let it run for 10-15 minutes every 6 hours when the temps go south of zero, some folks just unhook their vehicles battery and bring it indoors.

Oh gosh, I’m praying against these dangerous temperatures. I worry about people and animals. It breaks my heart to think of any person or creature being cold. Gotta make sure to top off my tank, just in case.

Looks like a huge part of the US is going to get seriously cold. I have a few hints to make it more bearable, but it will cost money on fuel. Do not keep the thermostat too low, it will keep turning the furnace on and off on and off, it takes less fuel to maintain a temp than to keep trying to warm a cold house. Use blankets on windows, especially the windows facing the wind, it aint pretty, but it will keep the warmth in. Keep cooking, a busy oven warms the house. Shut rooms off that you are not using during the day, bedrooms, spare rooms, etc. Wear long underwear. Don't drink too much alcohol, it warms you for a minute, but your body will lose heat because it opens up your capillaries and allows heat to escape. Please be careful if you go outdoors, once it gets below 10 degrees it is serious cold. Please dont keep your dogs and cats outdoors, or make sure there is a real secure place for them with insulation. Radiant heat is better than convection heat, I hope you have a source for it. If you have chickens in a big barn, make sure they are in a small area so that they can keep each other warm. In my home we have some large cages in the basement if it gets too bad for too long. Do not lick a metal post to prove something, your tongue will rip. Some cayenne pepper mixed with vaseline or bag balm rubbed on your feet with good socks and boots will keep your feet warm, it does not take too much, a pinch will do to a gob of vaseline If I think of anything else, I will post it I've lived "Beyond the Wall" for 35 years, and have not froze yet. Keep your faucets dripping, and remember the out pipes can freeze up, some folks put anti freeze in the toilet for this reason.

Today is my birthday. I will be having dinner with my mother, and my estranged daughter. A while back, you prayed for her, her name is Brianna. She’s still very much a leftist, but she’s coming around. She spending time with us, and I am so excited to have her back in our life. I just wanted to say thank you for all of your prayers, because today… On my birthday… I get to enjoy that prayers being answered. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone here, because I feel like you are my friends - in a world where there aren’t very many friends left. God bless you all and have a great night🙏🐸💕

Happy belated birthday ;-)

I too have an estranged daughter (step daughter), but raised her from age 5 when I married her dad and he had sole custody.

May our Lord and his son bless you and yours. ✝️

Happy Birthday and Congratulations! I’m sure it has been extremely hard to be separated from your daughter, but I highly respect you for standing your ground and staying strong. She should be grateful to have a parent with strong moral convictions. But it sounds as if she is coming around. God is so good isn’t he?

This Army soldier was on my delayed flight home yesterday to MS. He had to watch the birth of his daughter on FaceTime. He was crying and our hearts were breaking. We all gave him space. When we heard the baby cry, we all rejoiced for him. I wanted to share this because I never want us to forget about our soldiers who serve us everyday and the sacrifices they make. Wish I could cover up my fig tree, its too big. I planted it in a huge pot sunk into the ground in a vain attempt to control its size. It laughed at me; the roots skipped over the rim and escaped. I now have a monster.

We have one that my grandfather planted 85 years ago. It's the size of a double garage! We've never had a problem before and we have ice occasionally. Not sure how far north you are located but you could use straw, hay or pine needles around the base of your tree to protect the roots and you can buy very thick gauge plastic sheeting to put over your tree. The great thing is figs are very resilient. Good luck!

This is very interesting...really on old biblical and Buddhist thinking...what you think in your heart is what your body pays attention to and is shaped by.. epigenetics is really not new

As a one 100% Christian sold out to the Lord - I still see how epi-genetics play a huge part in our life here on earth.

I have a fantastic, chiropractor, natural path doctor. He’s been working with me for years with my epigenetic’s, I’m finally getting to a level with my frequency, and my mind is focused on other things than my past, and my family’s past generational garbage.

I’m grateful that I have this doctor in my life, and other great natural path doctors. I know it’s hard for some Christians to understand this, but yes, our bodies are made of energy.

I know you and I have disagreed on so many things, but if you truly want to know, the Bible is fact, just read it. Everything that we need to know about life is in the Bible, including information about epigenetic’s, etc.

As much as I want to give praise to my doctor, I have to give praise to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Because he’s the one who helps me to be able to move on from all this garbage but you’re doing so, my body is becoming more healthy than ever.

This video goes into tissue salts. A biochemist Dr schuessler did experiments on ashes of cremated bodies and determined man had twelve salts..hence his tissue salts. I have used them for many many years. I had an appointment with a homeopathic doctor who by asking loads of questions diagnosed a particular salt deficiency. .some people can look at your face and determine which salt you lack as it shows on the face. Fascinating stuff.

Wouldn't you know it..not only did UK government order doctors to stop prescription for vitamin D .a lack of vit. D .known to have "COVID" symptoms as does 5g symptoms but now the russian oligarch who sold homeopathic tissue salts have pulled out from all UK outlets. I have to order from abroad now.

Sure sign they are curing people

. Rockefellers had all the homeopathic hospitals and doctors shut down. No alternative to petroleum based products allowed

I would urge everyone to buy Himalayan salt. This is cheap and contains 80 known trace elements. In an effort to get the trace elements it needs your body will make you eat and eat in an effort to get them from junk food etc.

I remember an "alternative" doc telling me that if he was on a desert island and could only take one supplement for health, the 12 tissue salt would be it! Good stuff and it is in my healing cabinet.

Anybody else see things, connect things, see a bigger picture, but just can't quite materialize it? I'm seeing things posted here that I've thought about or tried to formulate, or tried to make a graphic, but just couldn't quite convey what I was after. Whether it's just some theory, or a Q drop connection, or a pattern recognition, I sometimes just can't make it material to share with frens. Strange feeling it is.

Future proves past.

Emerging into a fuller understanding is like swimming up from the ocean floor, through waving forests of fast-growing kelp. As you look up, you can see light, the surface, but it is still unclear, distorted. When you hit the surface and break through, all of a sudden all of the light and the patterns and the images and shapes you saw from below, as you approached the surface, they all burst into clearly outlined, concrete reality.

If you can see the patterns, the light, the shifting shapes from below, then you are already halfway there.

The prophets in the Old Testament gave us hope that God would send his only Son to save us, and that got me wondering, what would a prophet in todays day look like? Would we notice them?

We already, all over the earth, have had the opportunity to hear the Good News. I would think a modern day Prophet would have a calm and glowing demeanor, because their knowledge of the good news has filled them up. I do not think they would be raging at the pulpit. The world has had over 2,000 years to get its shit together, I would think the Prophet's only work is to give strength to the faithful, and to attract more sinners to come to the Lord, not to any one particular church. Some do believe that there has been no need for a Prophet since John the Baptist, which is why the Book of Revelations was debated among scholars. I see Isaiah and John the Baptist as the greatest profits, but there were many great prophets besides them, but both of the two foretold of the Messiah. They told the us what to do, and who it is to follow. Revelations tells us how this will happen, with a very heavy dose of metaphors for the people in which the time it was written. There are many warnings of false prophecy, and I take them pretty seriously, so, for me, I will stick with old prophets of God, and give wide berth for any new ones.. Christ is smarter than the Devil, but I may not be, and could make an error that would sell my soul for eternity.

Prayer request:

New guy at work is sleeping in his car in the national forest. It's about to get cold AF. Boss offered to let him sleep in the building but he declined the offer. I'm concerned. -30f is no joke and if the weather man is right he's going to be stuck in snow before the real cold sets in.

Pride can be a powerful obstacle. I'd like very much for some assistance convincing him to swallow his pride and accept the help being offered. His wife might hate him but I'm sure his kids don't want their Dad to freeze to death Christmas eve.

Halp. Feeling powerless here. Like dude....come on. Come inside. Please.

There are thousands upon thousands of these folks in cars and tents. Someone I dearly love used to be one of them. When you have a face you know in the equation, it changes the story.

An extremely hard lesson the good Lord impressed upon me these last few years is that every soul has free choice. You can make offers, you can share information, but in the end the road that soul chooses to take is something God protects. Very hard lesson.

However, friend, your choice is to offer shelter (or your boss's), support and prayer.

I will pray for this man. The cold can kill at that temperature, the only way to survive it would cost over a thousand dollars in the gear he would need. Is he suicidal? Because this is one way to kill himself. I realize no one here believes in intervention against a persons will, but if the authorities were anonymously notified at the time the temps get to deadly lows, and that he is in the forest, to do a wellness check people would know he was there, they might save him. I will pray. Loss and pain and depression can make a person turn their back on the gift of life we are given.God gives us examples and opportunities to help one another, if a person refuses that help, all that is left is prayer. I pray that he comes to his senses.

If he is offered it with a small rent he may take it. Men don't like charity, but give them a way to keep their pride and they'll do it. Another option is to offer to let him ",pay" by doing some duty around the building like cleanup or maintenance so he doesn't have to come out of pocket. Praying one of these works...

I agree,I like your idea but I don't think it's just men. I think it's more people feel they need to contribute. I'm helping an older lady out of a dv situation at the moment. She isn't in a position to pay me anything for staying here ,which I didn't want anyway but she feels she has to contribute, so I said she could cook some dinners ( she's a brilliant cook and loves cooking) and do some gardening as she likes gardening. Personally I'm just glad she's had the courage finally leave but it makes her happy and gives her some self esteem.

Curious, does anyone know if there is a handshake grip that members use on spouses to check to see if they are in the know at least in some aspect if they are at least married to a mason or anything?

permalink save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– NobodyLikesSplatter 3 points 3 years ago +3 / -0

My dad’s father was a mason. We’ve had many conversations about this and he was able to glean nothing from his father other than he had a ring. And also, he wanted to be buried in the Masonic section of a cemetery, which he was. They have these marble chairs facing different directions. But my dad was never able to get anything useful out of his dad regarding the masons. Sometimes I wonder if it’s just a cover for drinking, fraternizing and cheating. You know?

– NooneFor2024II 2 points 3 years ago +2 / -0

I am not saying that women can be masons because that I do not know.

What I was asking if there is some kind of handshake to TEST if a woman may be a SPOUSE of a mason; maybe like an "I know you are a part of the mason family" confirmation shake and an "I am wondering if you (your spouse) is one of us and you are a part of the club (by marriage)" type thing.

The reason I ask is that I was conversing with a group of people and I know one of them was retired military (office route) and I believe is also a mason member. That person knows that my husband is also retired (but NCO route) but he is NOT nor does he have a desire, to have anything to do with the masons.

Anyway, so the group and us part ways after a few mins, all shaking hands before we leave. I was the only one who was given a different type of handshake, even looked in the eye while holding the shake.. but the thing was, his thumb gripped the very lower part of my thumb and to the side closer to where it meets the palm side. He applied more pressure to the tip of his thumb, down onto the that lower part that it actually caused an odd pain that is still ongoing :/

Maybe it has nothing to do with the masons, but it was something...something I just couldnt get a feel on but at same time know it was meant for me to catch on to

Don’t they have that Eastern Star thing? I have to look it up now.

Adding- according to allaboutcults.org

“The order of the Eastern Star is a society designed for the wives, daughters, and female relatives of men affiliated with Masonry. Affiliated Master Masons who are in good standing may also join. According to the Order of the Eastern Star, they claim no association with Masonry. However, the causes and doctrines are extremely similar.”

My mother was an Eastern Star, through her father who was a mason. She had me in Job’s Daughters during middle school. I dropped that after two years - it just did not feel good in my gut.

I also smashed my Mom’s Eastern Star ring with a hammer one night when I felt it’s presence in my jewelry box was evil (I had some whisky on board but still felt it’s presence and wanted it gone).

I heard about the Masons 20 years ago, and I did not take everything as true, but, I was fostering a little girl who had polio, from Ethiopia, about 20 years ago. Her legs were all twisted and her hips were permanantly turned, she crawled around in the orphanage over there, and when she came here, she learned to use a wheelchair, she was looked at by specialists all over, and she would never walk again, she would have had to have endless surgeries, and only then, her mobility would have been limited to heavy braces and standing to walk just a few steps. She had better mobility in a wheelchair. However a serious scoliosis was there, which would have affected her heart and lungs as an adult. She went to a Shriners Hospital for the surgery, which they did for free. While she in there, I had asked a nurse to see the chaplain so she and I could pray, and maybe she could have communion. The nurse told me there were no ministers that came there. I asked if there was a chapel at the hospital so I could pray while she was in surgery. I was told that there was no such room in the hospital. This was the Shriners Hospital in Springfield Mass. Well, that really opened my eyes and I took all of what I heard seriously. Where have you ever heard of a hospital that did not have chaplains available or a chapel to wait in? I never had in my life, even public hospitals have lists of priests or pastors or rabbis to come and pray with the patients and their families!!!!

Ending felt like a bit of a diversion though.

Edit: reminded me of a less "brave" / deliberate Chinatown.
