My Grandfather was foreman over the grooms on the Rockefeller Estate in Pocantico Hills. My mother grew up there. My grandfather had a house as the in charge and they had a bunkhouse for the grooms. They had a staff of around 15 grooms as they had show horses, riding horses, and horses pulling wagons around still. Unlike me my grandfather never talked much, and had a reputation as a brawler. I hope he didn't do anything bad for that evil family. He had showed me how to make a hangman's noose.
I think after John D. Rockefeller died my grandfather left, because his second career was working as a supervisor of the gardening crew for the Westchester County Schools.
My family (Mother, Grand Parents, siblings) moved to Florida in 1962 and I have visited NY 3 times as an adult, the last time was in 2005, I always stopped by the Sleepy Hollow City Hall ( I was born in North Tarrytown which was annexed into S.H.) to get a new copy of my Birth Cert. and when the Lady saw my mother's maiden name and we (Siblings and I) talked with her about our family, she was the one who told us about my grandfather being a tough cookie.

Actually now that I'm on the computer with a big monitor the pupils ARE pinpoints like they should be. It's the iris that is so fucked up that it looks like a pupil. Damn, those eyes now look diseased (not that they didn't before).
