Um... if you're talking about commandeering private property, then no. It's the"slippery slope" that, if allowed, would lead to quartering them in private homes. Nip this one in the bud.
Nip it in the bud? I say slam the foot on the accelerator.
NYers need to see. Staten Island and the immigrants are sensible but the transplants need to experience the full retardation of their politics.
White hats always leave us an out. The virtue signalers will take in the immigrants for that $100. It'll seem great at first. A few months in the cash runs out and now their apartment is taken over due to squatters rights. Lesson learned on the part of those who most need it.
$100 a day pays the full rent for a huge # of apartments. A lot of folks will bite on this. It's also completely unsustainable to shell out $36k for free every year! Where on earth will the taxes for that come from?
I thought the same thing. People have small apartments in NY. The ones with larger apartments will not care about the gov pay for housing an illegal immigrant.
Scams are also a significant part of the market, especially at rent controlled places. They're treated as an asset and inherited to friends as favors. I could see people getting multiple rent controlled places then turning around and renting them to illegals for $100 daily.
I'm wondering if the Fourth Amendment (being secure in our homes and unlawful search) and to a lesser degree the Third Amendment (quartering of soldiers) could be used to fight this? Any Constitutional lawyers out there?
Just a constitutional enthusiast here but first thing I thought of was how similar this was to the third amendment, especially if you consider these “migrants” are being used by the cabal as footsoldiers.
The fourth amendment point is a good one too, since enemy combatants would then have eyes in your house. They seem to be going for the record on how much of the bill of rights they can violate in one fell swoop. Maybe they’ll tack on a cruel and unusual punishment if you refuse.

Of course it could. Let us know when there's a court to take the case and a judge to rule according to the law. We'll wait.
I doubt the voters voted him in. If so, they now need to open their hearts and homes to illegals, per their liberal bleeding hearts desire! I have a good solution. Remember all those FEMA CAMPS? Let’s house them there, forget the hotels. They came here illegally. Let them stay there until their cases are heard, be it 4 years or ten. Rotate the immigration judges there for a month at a time. Maybe that would light a fire under the judges asses to expedite cases, or maybe illegals will think twice about coming.
NO PROBLEM. Their houses first. Flood the internet with their homes, rentals, holiday homes etc. DEMAND proof that they and all their GOVT supported friends have illegals in every spare bedroom. LEADERS need to LEAD by example.
Politicians need demonstrations of gravity, and the consequences of rope and gravity - every last one of them. No plea deals, no apologies, just a 24 hour demonstration of political wind chimes, and then 24 hour of politicians as bird feeders.
Yes! Send them to The Hamptons again, this time they will be way more receptive. Oh, send them to Martha’s Vineyards, too. All the Democrat voters will be waiting with open arms.
3rd Amendment applies to prevent government quartering troops without consent ib your home....but Hey (illegal) immigrants are different, so free rein even though it is the same action
I can't wait to see how many he keeps in his private residence! I hope it is enough to do his laundry, keep his house clean, tend the outside, you know things like this because all Commies are for freedom of the people.
This is awesome. Spare room in NYC apartments? 🤣
There is a lot of empty commercial space though..

Yes! LFG!
This is another white hat lesson for the libtards. It also tees up a strengthening of private property rights when it's struck down. Win win, fren.
I like how you think ahead Fren. 👍

Wow. You are right. That would happen. NY tax payers will have to pay for that, too. Ikes! They need to vote out that mayor, for sure.
Start with the spare rooms of the guys in the picture.
They probably already have rooms for immigrant children, complete with chains.
rooms...
dungeons..
whatever
So much diversity there
just through a few mattresses on the floor wherever, no spare room needed.
"My Vision"
Fuck your vision ---- and the horse your vision rode in on.
^THIS RIGHT HERE.

Thanks, good points. Love the handle, by the way... "Publius." The Federalist Papers.
Amendments? We don't need no stinkin' amendments...
Actually, the 2nd Amendment is there for our protection against tyranny in government.
They don't give one crap about any amendments, or the Constitution for that matter.
It IS an unlawful taking. I’d have every jurisdiction up to the state in the federal courts (in a different venue, of course) in a heartbeat.
Same, was searching 3rd amendment and quartering act before I got to your comment. If we’re at war and the immigrants are the invading force…
We are and they are.
Which will be nice when we mass deport and get the dang wall up.
Of course it could. Let us know when there's a court to take the case and a judge to rule according to the law. We'll wait.
private homes, back where they came from
I hear there's a lot of space in the Hamptons...

Let us start with your residence, Eric and then the governor’s.
I say move all the illegals to Pelosi's house.
I live in this cesspool of a city. I’m telling you, everyone has a price, this is going to be a shitshow if they actually do it.
Rope - this is fixed by lots and lots of rope.
Politicians need demonstrations of gravity, and the consequences of rope and gravity - every last one of them. No plea deals, no apologies, just a 24 hour demonstration of political wind chimes, and then 24 hour of politicians as bird feeders.
It's historically shown to be very instructive.
I love these announcements. This should wake up some democrats.
Yes! Send them to The Hamptons again, this time they will be way more receptive. Oh, send them to Martha’s Vineyards, too. All the Democrat voters will be waiting with open arms.
next thing this idiot says will be that he's gonna give the illegals weapons to use to make sure they can stay in your home without being bothered
Imagine being in Laredo Texas and hearing these cunts bitch on tv when they get 50
I'd burn my house down to the ground before I'd let the government force me to allow someone else to live in it.
3rd Amendment applies to prevent government quartering troops without consent ib your home....but Hey (illegal) immigrants are different, so free rein even though it is the same action
Then when givin the Go these people will murder you in your own home and claim it.
Which amendment prohibits this?
Tweet's gone.
Say hello to my little friend...
I can't wait to see how many he keeps in his private residence! I hope it is enough to do his laundry, keep his house clean, tend the outside, you know things like this because all Commies are for freedom of the people.
Some will go for the money. They will learn, if they live through it.
That tweet doesn't seem to be available any more.
Anyone notice the reactions of some of the dudes around him when he said "private residences?"
Talk about a shit show.
My first thought...Caesar with his praetorian guard
Need more buses.
