It recovered, to a degree. Nothing like the pre-recession days, but it's at as good as the other sit down chains, now. The few years after the great recession, it was bad.
Hope you enjoy and are excited about losing customers too. Your food is not good enough to warrant giving you a pass for wokeism. If the big businesses go under: Anheiser Busch, Nike, Addidas, Target, Walmart, North Face, Starbucks, Chik Fi La, Cracker Barrel, etc. that makes more room for small business start ups, even if they need to pool resources together for start up capital.
My gay sister and her wife knew all about this from 1991 when we all went there to eat while my dad was in surgery about 10 years ago. Her loud mouth bitching about how they don't support the gays was responsible for us getting coffee and nothing more, so we had to get up and leave.

Chicken and dumplings? Is like Chicken Pastry? See the picture in link. If it's the same it's very easy to make. I'll be happy to write out instructions. I don't add anything other than S&P. This recipe calls for something this company sells, maybe a thickener, not sure. Hardest part is separating chicken off the bone. I use this brand dough because it's available in the store. You can make the dough, lots recipes online. I don't because I cook pastry maybe twice in the winter.
I don't like the texture of fried okra. I'll eat it from a small restaurant if it's really crispy and crunchy. It's simple to make. Batter the sliced okra with flour and fry in oil. I'm sure chain restaurants like this are selling frozen battered okra and that's available in the grocery stores.

Try sweet pickles in the pastry. My dad put them in and it's what I know. Pastry isn't good with out them. I use homemade pickles and if out watermelon rind pickles, they are tangy sweet. I know it sounds gross but I love it.
Maybe they'll swap out some of the farming implements on the walls for some buttplugs, dildos and other tools of the trade. Would make a great conversation starter with the kids while you wait for your slop to come out of the kitchen at grandma's birthday dinner 🤔🤔🤔

It isn't just a rainbow rocker, we are witnessing a coordinated push. Between Davila's company and AIMM, they've got hundreds of corporations that they're working with.

The disappearing waitress routine is what cemented our ban on CB in April. The quality and portion sizes were working us towards no more visits; but having to hunt down creamer for coffee and napkins was the last straw. We had good memories of CB Saturday morning visits in Texas 20+ years ago when we moved across country for my hubby's job and had no family around; but it is no longer tolerable (food, service, or cleanliness all have gone too far in the wrong direction).
At least at the ones around here, their food pretty much sucks any more (cheaping ingredients) and portions are about enough for a five year old. So I can't boycott them, I already am.
