Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
So many times, I stumble into real-life rabbit holes. I am at Colonial Williamsburg waiting for the fireworks. A Vietnam Vétéran (wearing baseball cap) sits down next to me and I strike up a conversation. I don’t know a lot about Vietnam except for what my father has told me about his experiences. So I was kind of at a loss as to what to ask him about his experience. He did tell me he was a combat engineer.
But as we talked about how my father couldn’t talk about Vietnam until the past 10 years, he tells me that it was the same for him, but now he can’t even really tell his son what he did, because it involved the CIA and they have been threatened to not discuss what they did. One of their team did and he inexplicably “committed suicide.”
Since I know about classification of materials, I asked him why he thought his work had not been declassified, after all of these years. He shrugged and said, “Well they haven’t.”
His wife hurried him along to somewhere else, but I would have LOVED to pick his brain about the CIA some more!
What a great encounter you had. No telling what this poor man has to live with everyday. Has to be hard on him and his family. It’s sad. 🥲

Lot of chatter on a false flag attack on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear reactor. Hope its all fake as always.
What are my fellow frens and anons doing for the 4th?
I am being cozy as always. Look forward to hearing about your days
I volunteered to walk in the parade for a local candidate running for office, locally. Nothing too exciting, but all races are important nowadays. Brought along a boom-box to broadcast loud Patriotic music while marching. It was quite pleasant. Nothing else, it is good exercise.
Equally pleasant is that we have a large turnout amongst all Republican candidates and volunteers, and we outnumber the Demonic Rats, even though the local area is quite blue, and this is a blue state. Guess the opponents are feeling quite demoralized with everything that's going on with what's going on the National and State level
Marcus theater sent out a mass email with the subject line 'Happy Fourth of July let sound of freedom ring.' The body of the email has sound of freedom first in the list promoted.

Happy Independence Day.
Let's celebrate TRUE FREEDOM.
Usually around the 4th of July is when I see the most lightning bugs. Last night I saw less than a dozen.
Don't they have to live on this planet, too?
What are they doing to us? Life in a bunker can't be more beautiful than life up here.
Won't killing the Earth kill them too, what, exactly, will be left after they emerge?
I'll never understand their mindset.
the lightning bugs will be okay, fren
I sure hope so.
Although you'll never hear me bemoaning the lack of mosquitoes, especially since I'm a magnet for them, and I'm (hopefully too far north for GatesofHell's Frankenskeeters), the lack of them is still somewhat unnerving.
Pesticides have devastated the lightning bug population in my area. When I was a kid, we would drive down the highway for miles, and -all- the trees and shrubs along the drive were covered with the bugs. So many flashing bugs that it literally looked like blinking Christmas tree lights as far as the eye could see. Now, it's all gone, just an occasional flash here and there, probably less than 3% of what they used to be.
Yup, same here. :(
we have our work cut out for us, but all things are possible with God
They love meadows and tall grass, the less of those we have, the less they can exist. Unwise cultivation is the culprit. Fallow fields every few years is,(please excuse the word) sustainable agriculture, the more we follow biodynamic farming, the less we lose. Yes, people can prove that non organic food is just as nutritious, and it probably is. It is less about the food and more about the soil, the soil should be alive, let it rest and go to meadows, each state in this nation could become regional agriculturally, and then we could base our food needs on actual trade, not mega farms controlling our food sources. We need insects, but we have poisoned them to near extinction. This is not a leftist stance, by the way. Happy Independence Day, wherever you are. We still have meadows and lightening bugs up here in Vermont, but not as many as when I was a kid, my goodness, growing up in residential Queens, NYC, the back yard was full of them, catch them in a jar, let them loose in the morning, catch n release.
😅 Anytime I see that word red flags go up.
Just like where I grew up in NE Ohio. The house I'm in now backs up to woods, the fireflies used to look like a million stars twinkling amongst the trees, not so much anymore :(. When we lived in the city, we'd go for rides in the country to see them. Called it our lightning-bug-run. Sure do miss them!
You have a great 4th, as well. I'm sitting on my patio watching the neighbors shoot off fireworks. So nice not to have to battle traffic, et.al, to see them.

There's a restaurant chain called Charley's Philly Steaks.
Can anyone tell me if they're woke at all?
I can verify they didn't say a damn thing about "pride" last month, at least on their official Twitter. I just looked.
They are one of the chains found on military bases. I wonder if that has anything to do with their silence?
Huh. The one I went to was inside a Wal-Mart. Had sick family and I had to use their pharmacy, so I got a bite to eat while there.
Good to know.
Hoping that all American anons have a great day!
For the record, Greek Independence Day is March 25th.

Independence from whom?
From the Ottoman empire. Good info at the link. Greek war of independence started in 1821.

DELETED POSTS
I've had a couple of posts deleted - one about Jesus and one about UFOs. So I asked the mods for a list of taboo subjects but they haven't replied. Does anyone have a link to the list of "Fringe conspiracies"?
I assume that it includes
What else can we not discuss here?
This forum is about Q. Q said that the earth is NOT flat, and that the moon landings were real (although whether or not what we saw was real is something else). It's tiresome to read stupid posts on Flat Earth when it is such a stupid psy-op. My father was involved with both satellite phography and the development of the SR-71 Blackbird. The world is NOT flat, and some of us have actually traveled beyond the trailer park. A few years ago I traveled to Australia (due south from Japan) and saw constellations that are not visible from the northern hemisphere. As for what you posted about Jesus, it depends on if it is crap or not. 9/11 is fair game.
Thank You. From mainland USA, take a boat out at night at Key West, did that once, Tarpon fishing, the Southern Cross is up in the sky, you can't see it when you take a boat out in Cape Cod. What a waste of intelligence people spent to "prove" the Earth is flat.
And I forgot to mention that I went from summer in Japan to winter in Australia. The idea of flat earth is that if you travel in any direction, you'll eventually hit Antarctica. Ridiculous. The "flat earth" concept makes no provision for that seasonal because if the sun moves across the earth like a needle on a record, it would have to travel faster along the "circle of Antarctica" yet still if that was the case, when the sun is over one edge of Antarctica, the "Antarctica on the other side of the disc" would have to be night. No, it doesn't work that way. The polar north can have endless days and endless nights for weeks on end due to the earth's axial tilt, and so does Antarctica.
To think that anyone of us could fall for the flat earth load of crap is embarrassing. Reading the mental gymnastics to prove such a silly concept is mind-numbing. "Oh, but the UN flag shows flat Earth." Uh, no it doesn't. Yes it shows the Earth from the top, but it still shows the curve of the surface. But it would take very little effort for some Feds with sock puppet accounts to flood this forum with flat Earth nonsense, or "Hitler was actually a good guy who built luxury resorts surrounded with barbed wire and guard towers" crap.
It takes even less effort for real flat-earthers, who exist, to come here and do the same... lmao. Let's not try and pretend that there aren't legit flat-earthers who legit believe in Q and the Great Awakening. Cause they exist, as insane as they are.
Related, but it's silly to take everything that doesn't fit neatly into one's narrative or worldview and declare it to be a psyop (in this case Feds with sock puppet accounts). It's no different than normies declaring real stuff to be a conspiracy because they don't wanna think it might be real. Likewise there's a fuckton of Q believers who believe also in flat earth - you don't have to bring Feds and sock puppets into the fold for it to be plausible.
Thanks but you just discussed one of the MUST NOTs without answering my question "what else?"
Add personal prayer requests to this list please, I had mine removed an hour ago
Here is what got deleted
With this recent bout of sickness, I’ve had some strange issues and anxiety that is abnormal. The anxiety is subconscious and only causes issues when I lay down. Basically lots of fear and mini shakes that interrupt my breathing and induce a panic like state. It usually causes me to wake up every time I fall asleep and very annoying. After a few hours I can usually get to sleep. I am also always tired and can take lots of naps. My wife and kids got this same sickness but it wasn’t as bad. Lots of coughing and phlegm for me but only some for the rest of them. We all had pain in the neck and specifically around the lymph nodes I’ve been treating with ibuprofen and ivermectin before going to bed and that has helped a lot but looking for more advice and prayer. I’ve also taken some iodine supplements just in case it’s thyroid related Thanks
Magnesium for relaxation and sleep, Ashwahghanda is a great herb for calming but not sedation, helps the physical jitters. Ivermectin is great, but it does not build up the bodies defenses, it takes care of parasites that may make you ill, in the meantime, acetyl l cysteine for the lungs, Quercitin for immune system and histamine response, Zinc and C. Feel better and Happy Independence Day!
Is there anything that helps with asthma symptoms? I’m thinking that could be causing my shortness of breath. I have a history with that
Asthma isn't specifically shortness of breath but rather a restriction of breathing (principally a restriction on breathing OUT). Shortness of breath sounds more like COPD. Apart from NAC, which helps to loosen phlegm, I don't know any non-prescription treatments. I've never had asthma myself, despite the fact that I have a few auto-immune problems, so I've never done in-depth research. Try https://yandex.com/search/?text=natural+treatment+asthma
I slept great after finding my inhaler, yay
If u ever need prayer feel free to reach out to me. I will gladly add it to the daily prayer thread or you can wait till around 8pm edt and add it. God bless u. Praying for u
Also getting hate mail about this from one user so far. Looks like a shill but still
Is the hate mail from NewbishBewbish? Consider it a a badge of honor. And you can just block the retarded faggot like I did.
Yep! Glad to know I made the cut :)
You've been in my prayers today, fren.
Hmmm... I would recommend acupuncture. It may sound weird if you've never done it before, but believe me, it works. It doesn't even hurt as the needles are about as thin as a hair on your head. My wife was pregnant within a month of her treatment for infertility.
Thanks, so far it seems like it’s likely asthma induced by the sickness. I found my inhaler and already feel much better. I also realized that I used an inhaler the other times I got sick and had my asthma triggered. One puff and I’m sleeping like a baby back then, hopefully this time too. I could lose sleep over NewbishBewbish PM’s but I need to just forgive him and move on.
Sorry to hear that, Tankstir. Magnesium is recommended for sleep so make sure you're not lacking that (most people are).
Breathing problems when lying down could be apnoeia. Try propping yourself up in bed to sleep. If you feel tightening of your throat, an asthma inhaler could help.
Panic attacks that are not related to breathing problems are a whole other subject but meditation helped my wife (sitting, not lying).
This is not medical advice. Just putting my thoughts down.
I do have a family history of sleep apnea and they are not overweight by much, maybe 10-20 lb. I only have these problems when sick and dealing with traumatic events like kids having life and death situations. Two kids in the last month and then the same two in the hospital for a week a year ago. I do snore regularly but I never wake up not being able to breathe. The only times are the situations listed earlier and it’s as I’m falling asleep. When falling asleep I also feel shaky and short of breath. I also don’t have issues napping during the day
Noted but I have nothing to add.
Kek, have you tracked Google searches for Carl's Warehouse from (Langley) today?
How do we know he is not Mel Torme?

Been parading this song up and down the street during today's parade.
Hope they all appreciate this tune.
I haven't heard this song since elementary school in the early 1990s.
This was the jam!
Happy Birthday, America! I pray this is finally the year the Land of the Free finally frees itself again, but this time for good!🙏🏻🔥🇺🇸
As long as we don’t have to imbibe some « light » beer…
I think I will watch Expendables 2 or 3 again. Truely kickass American entertainment.🤩🇺🇸
Happy birthday, frens.

I don't think it exists. As far as I can tell, it's a psyop to make us docile, whereas Q tells us to "put on the armour of God" and "fight, fight, fight!" Personally, I think it's the height of hubris to expect God to do everything for you if you are capable of at least doing something towards it yourself. It's fine to pray for assistance in doing something but to expect God to do everything for you is taking the piss. We should do everything we can to help others and not expect any reward.
It does not say that literally, but many interpret Hebrews 4:16 to mean that, in modern parlance. Hebrews 4:16 King James Bible Online https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org › Hebrews-4-16 “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” King James Version (KJV).
I just read in 1 Samuel of how Hanna prayed and prayed for God to remember her so that she could have a son. She did not "leave it in God's hands" but she proactively prayed and cried bitterly for God to hear her prayers.
Do you want to do everything for your kids or teach them to do the easier things on their own but step in when needed?
Since he could walk, my together time with my boy was spent in play, and in doing things around the house, he naturally learned without making it a lesson or anything. It was fun for him. Kids should not be always told, "go away, I'm busy", find something that they can do with you, and turn it into fun. They learn how to handle tools carefully, learn order and symmetry, and it helps them develop hand co ordination and problem solving..
Ask and you shall receive
“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,” II Corinthians 3:5 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/2co.3.5.NKJV
I could go into a long drawn out story, but I’m not going to. I had an issue today I had to deal with, it was very frustrating, and the more I wanted to control it and make it happen and solve the problem which was necessary, the more frustrated, angry, and bitter I became. It wasn’t until I finally gave up, and just gave it to the Lord that everything smoothed over. It’s exhausting trying to do everything ourselves, when we can just rely on the Lord for so many things.
I’m not saying we’re supposed to sit back and ask God to fix our problems, I’m just saying that sometimes problems that we carry, or things we can give to Him!
That versus above was a memory verse when I was in Hawaii. More and more during this trip, and returning home I am seeing how it’s all Christ. ALL Christ in me.
Edit: continue to pray for your friends, God’s word will not return void. His word says if you train up a child in the way, they should go, when they are all they will not depart from it. I’m counting on that for my daughter as well. Let’s stand in the gap for them now, and in agreement that they will return to the Lord. In his time.
Thanks, fren. I haven't been able to raise my daughter in church because I live in Japan and finding a decent church is extremely difficult, especially in the small city I live in. I would read her the Picture Bible every night before bed, but now that she is a stressed-out junior high student, she is losing sight of God. She is questioning herself now. When I was her age, I was a bit of an existentialist, so I am not yet worried about her. Then again, I always went to church as a kid. For her now, I try to tell her about God. I think she is getting indirect pressure from school to not be Christian because anything that makes her stand out she resents as it is. I try to teach her what I can about God, but now she is going through a phase where she acts like she hates me half the time. My wife insists that it's just a phase. I keep praying for her every day.
Well, the best thing you can do is be an example of Christ. Read your Bible every day, one psalm, and one proverb. Do it in the kitchen with your wife or the living room. Invite her to join you, but if she doesn’t, at least she sees that you’re making an example. My brothers lived in Japan for 30 years. To be quite honest, she’s probably in a better place right now. The USA is no longer a free country. Praying for you and your family.
Saw Sound of Freedom tonight. It’s well worth the watch. Theater was nearly full. I saw grown men cry after. Stay for Jim Caviezel’s message during the end credits. 48 minute mark: “God’s children are not for sale.” Repeated at the end of the movie. If you get to watch it, become the storyteller.
God bless America
Forgive the Reddit link, but I don't know how to download a video from Reddit, because it always comes out muted:
I recently found this 2017 video of Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown, where he interviews two pro wrestlers: Adam Cole (real name Austin Jenkins) and his girlfriend Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, an actual dentist in her day job--real degree, too.
Hopefully one day the truth is revealed about Anthony Bourdain's death. I know about the theory that he walked in on Hillary or some such high-ranking cabal member, saw something he wasn't supposed to, and they had to whack him for it.
I remember that famous meeting of Obama and Bordain in some vietnamese restaurant. I am sure there was more meaning to that.

When I re-scanned my OTA TV last night, found a new station, NTD. Same group of Dafa practitioners who bring us The Epoch Times and the Shen Yun Performing Arts group. Less biased than the other media, and totally controlled by Dafa practitioners as far as I know. They do have a bit of bias though - they do not like the CCP and how the Chinese government treats their people. For years, practitioners in countries outside China have made random phone calls to the Chinese people, encouraging them to drop their membership with the CCP, and telling them the atrocities of their government. Lot of them lost their lives, and are being used as "organ donors" for standing their ground.
I hope all our hard working Anons have a wonderful Independence Day!
