I don't care what form of capital punishment the tribunals end up using, but I hope every execution of these treasonous bastards is televised live and streamed on demand for free.

Public executions used to happen in the town square for a reason... they are a very effective deterrent to any future wrongdoer.

Not trying to say theres not other justification for using the death penalty but it is as a deterrent has never been great statistically. This is mainly because there is a inherent darkness in the heart of man.

Sorry, good jobs are not going to undo the wretched hives of scum and villainy that are Democrat run cities like Flint, Detroit, Chicago. To understand why you need to understand why they are this way. Their cities aren't filled with homelessness and violence because of a lack of factory jobs. It's because of drug addiction, mental illness, politicians and district attorneys that refuse to enforce laws, and kids growing up in single parent homes without fathers in communities that have perverse "values".

Regaining dominance in steel and manufacturing would help this country immensely. Many of those are good-paying union jobs that help people climb the socio economic ladder in life. One of THE biggest reasons I got onboard the Trump train was that Trump is/was very pro manufacturing in the US. Several times he went to bat for union workers to keep jobs in the US and even expand existing plants.

– Megadeth 4 points 2 years ago +4 / -0

Liberal women were screaming about toxic air when Trump was trying to get the steel industry restarted in SW PA. They'll literally campaign against jobs if need be to keep steel production out of the area. That is the level of retardation faced in PA these days.

▲ 3 ▼
– OffGridGuy 3 points 2 years ago +3 / -0

The unions are part of the reason those jobs aren't here anymore. And the dues those union members paid helped fund a Democrat political machine that has been utterly detrimental to these communities.

Resurrecting Steel and Manufacturing. Will also in turn resurrect dozens of supporting industries.

TBH.

I think the main problem in the near future will simply be. There wouldn’t be enough people to do all the stuff that will need to get done

I'd revise that to 'willing people'.

Many people don't want to work any more.

There is an easy solution to that problem. Don't work don't eat.

These younger generations complain about low pay and when jobs get a little physically intensive they think it’s too difficult or think they’ve climbed a mountain. They don’t know what actual hard work ethic and labor is

Ironically, we did have such a strategy---only it was for China to become a manufacturing superpower. Modern magnates find more profit on the backs of a slave society. Why can't we recognize plantation owners when they are richly harvesting?

It is not just treason at issue. It is a rejection of all the principles on which our nation is founded, and an abandonment of patriotism and loyalty to ANY country. We got into it by degrees...and the entrance doors were to (e.g.) Walmart. When the American public embraces the strategy de facto, the problem is far beyond evildoers at the top. It is among ourselves and our neighbors.

Chinese steel is incredibly crappy. The rebar they use in high-rises is so brittle it can be broken by hand.

Tired of having to source pool construction equipment using cheap Chinese knockoffs. Everything from rebar to air hammers and chisels to PVC to water pumps and LED lighting equipment. Disgraceful.

Sticky for the very serious point Ro Khanna made. This alone would be catastrophic if we got into a serious kinetic fight/war, with Russia or China.

Two words:nuclear deterrent.

"Dear China, as you know decades of under investment in our conventional forces have left us unable to fight you in a conventional war. We do, however, have approximately 5,200 nuclear warheads left over from when our leaders weren't godless communists, no offense intended, which we will use in the event you insist on starting hostilities. Better dead then red."

I worked at us steel in gary ind for a summer during college It's a Huge plant..this was the seventies and they couldn't get gary residents to work so they imported workers from Greece...set them up with houses

gotcha

Probably a druggie town, probably infiltrated with drug trade so that people wouldn't work, then the steel needs could be sent offshore

I'm starting to recognize the playbook. These people are really sick.

kinda genius when you think of it, assuming you want to take down a country. This is why spiritual protection and Christianity are so important. No way we can defend against such diabolical genius by pure human means.

The town that I grew up in and still live in had a steel mill that employed close to 14,000 people back in the 1970s. It’s still operating but at a diminished capacity and only employs around 700 people, I believe. The globalist presidents killed the manufacturing type jobs in this country. Bill Clinton actually visited our town when he ran for his first term and stood in our community center and flat out lied to people saying he was going to save the steel industry.

McKinsey MBAs & other assorted 'consultants' optimized/increased the efficiency of the steel industry.

Who needs steel anyway? More tiktok please.

Globalization is legalized intellectual property theft.

Example: Some Chinese Rolex replicas are made with 904L steel, the same steel that Rolex uses.

And the steel we do produce (for mil use, anyway) has been significantly weakened (see: https://www.avpress.com/news/newsline/navy-receives-weak-steel/article_4ea06724-af7b-11ea-bc53-671f36137561.html )

Not to mention we need bodies with the relevant knowledge to fill positions at these aforementioned theoretical factories.

And we have a lack of both people with the relevant knowledge, and factories. And only one of those is a relatively easy solution.

The Knowledge gap will be comparatively far more difficult to solve. Because doing so involves far more factors and politicking

▲ 7 ▼
– TSearch 7 points 2 years ago +7 / -0

I know a few old timers who would go back to work to train a new generation of factory workers. And, under the right leadership, don’t underestimate what a revival of the American Spirit can accomplish.

I would train in my field (not steel) if people wanted to work. I actually find training very rewarding when people are willing to learn.

Protip: you don't need very much steel production if you've already outsourced most of the manufacturing that uses steel.

I'm only joking slightly, we produce about 80 million metric tons a year domestically and only used about 100 in the years just before Covid. I'd worry far more about food production and drug production. If you think a war between another nuclear power comes down to who has more artillery shells I think you're gravely mistaken. 5,000 nuclear weapons >> all the conventional weapons in the world.
