Even when we're paying attention it still happens, like Colorado they have a supermajority here now and stopped listening to our complaints a few years ago. I'm again wondering how we're even supposed to make it to the 2024 election at this rate, like every win comes with a loss or two.

Like i said we're outnumbered in the legislature and they stopped needing to care about public outcry. Before 2020 we could get bills shut down just by the sheer number of opposition petitions but starting in 2021 they flat out started ignoring them ramming through bills that had 60,000 in opposition vs 1,000 for. They even broke procedures for some of them which is what much of the lawsuits against the Assault Weapon Ban are targeting in addition to the unconstitutional grounds of it.
Anyone got a source on the bill? I wanna read it before assuming the above is actually true.

I may be wrong here but in order for that bill to reach the governors desk didn't it need to be passed by the state legislators? That's how it works in my state. Did this "bill" slip through the legislature or is the Gov signing exec orders? That amounts to Dictatorship and should be dealt with accordingly. Personally I don't believe this bill just showed up on govs desk one after noon while no one was watching.

They've already been breaking procedure, one of the first injuctions against the assault weapons ban is based on the number of procedural violations and how it was illegally passed to begin with.
And people just don't have any idea how to start constitutionally pushing back, hard. This process is beginning in some 5 states so far: SD, VA, WY, WA and MO. It is starting in the redder states. The governor does not possess the authority to do that. They are limited by the Illinois Constitution, as well as the US Constitution. Non-citizens cannot hold any office, nor any public trust positions.
He has two paid-off Justices now on the Illinois Supreme Court, they just recently reversed their stance and decided that cashless bail is constitutional.

I firmly believe that as they continue to head into Tyranny a breaking point will come. Yeah family and relocating is damn expensive, plus can be even more difficult if you have a business to relocate as well or work in a specific niche where you can't simply just get a new job just anywhere. I wonder if part of the reason so many remote jobs went back to requiring us to be in the office again was because too many people where using the remote work to more easily move out of their shitholes so they had to tether people back down before it accelerated even further.
