I think Schiff and his friends are simply virtue signalling. This is not real. They know cameras are not allowed in Federal Courts for anything other than a few ceremonies like naturalizations, or as part of a pilot program to again try to get cameras in there (there have been a few of these before).
Yeah, they need the public to accept the pre-determined outcome. I don't think it will go the way they want, but they are hoping to humiliate Trump in front of the world.
