This isn't a story coming out of nowhere.
Trump testified in open court in one of the biggest news stories of the day where dozens of reporters were first hand witnesses.
In this case, you basically need to just confirm it was heard correctly.

The question was clearly about Trump being president of the US.
He didn't sign the 2020 financial documents because he was POTUS and was no longer a trustee.
However in Jan 2021 he put himself back as a trustee.

No. Trump said he was a wartime President During wartime CIC is in power. You dont have to be President to be CIC. This took place during his Presidential term. So by the time that year arrived he was functioning as CIC. Not as president of the corporation.

EDIT: I was at fault for using the term circular reasoning here. Further investigation led to the understanding that the definitions are specifiers for sub-categorizing entities of the "United States", as in, specifying three instances of where "United States" is represented in terms of collecting federal debt.

'tis one of the weapons of the disinfo war to use double meanings.
Once one is aware of the tactic, one can unravel the real meanings. Sometimes the phrases are double-barrelled as well. Those ones often get parrotted all around the ether. So, you hear it oftern, and can be lulled into thinking it is a THING.
I fully agree, and further investigation led me to seeing the angle of presenting this "thing" that many want to grasp onto to find meaning and a simple answer to theories floating around on the ether, which also leads to it easily being debunked.
I did find something interesting though. Sub-section 15 (A) is presented all over the ether and is easily debunked, but a further look at sub-section 10 from the same source indicates that legally, a state or local government entity can be seen as a person.

Because the entire section is about debt collection, it's about what means to owe money to the United States.

Federal meaning central government, so why would the definition for "United States" in terms of federal debt collection refer to "United States" as a corporation as one of the options in terms of defining what "United States" means in the context of collecting federal debt?
Try to combine the sentences into three different sentences with the given prefix:

Those three definitions defined what "United States" is defined as in terms of who the recipient of federally collected debt can be when debt is collected.
