And this is how Gavin Newsom gets to be front runner on the ballot against impeachment Joe.

This is literally a movie, scripted, produced and acted out by politicians, judges and the talking heads media.

If this planet was a bus, I would be pulling the emergency stop cord.

The IRS is after him, not the State of CA. Hunter just happened to be a CA resident during the years the IRS caught him money laundering, hence the Federal court in CA had the jurisdiction: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hunter-biden-indicted-tax-crimes-special-counsel/.

I guarantee that no one in the State of CA would prosecute the Bidens for anything. CA State government is corrupt to the core. The CA State government has a massive racket going on to protect one another. I'm sure that there were some CA leadership were in bed with the Bidens, and all those state level workers cover for each other.

Bazinga! That was a joke, right?

This is a charge from special counsel David Wiess, who had a grand jury indict Biden on 20 something charges.

The DOJ prosecutes crimes, not the IRS. The fact that I have to tell you that makes me weep for GAW's future.

PS: The fact that you used CBS news as your sauce instead of you diving deeper than one click and following through with, ready, aim, post, also makes me weep for humanity. We are supposed to be smarter than this Frens.

Come on, consider it a training moment and not a smackdown. When you think about it, IRS=DOJ=MSM=Demons all in on lying to you, trying to kiil you and your family off after years of service to them (Top level view!).

We need all hands on the field, they don't all come into the program as Q-level Spiritual Navy Seals...

You could have made your point diplomatically; there was no need to go on the attack. I can't believe you just played the same games on me that the liberals play when they are told something they don't want to hear, such as trying to discredit my news source and ad hominem attacks. I would recommend some counseling, as there was no reason to get so insulting and demeaning in response to me offering information that contradicted your preferred narrative that Gvin Newsom is the one going after Hunter Biden.

FYI, I have been actively fighting corruption in California's tax agency for years. I am very familiar with how things work in California. The Federal DOJ represents government agencies, including the IRS. The CA DOJ represents California State agencies, including the Income tax agency.

It is the Federal DOJ going after Hunter Biden, not the California State DOJ. Newsom is not behind this.

Edit: I wanted to add one more thing. The California State Income Tax Agency does not follow due process laws. If the agency believes that you owe them money, they simply take it from you. You have to hire a lawyer to prove it was never owed to try to get it back. So it couldn't have been the State of California going after Biden because they don't indict for tax issues. I actually made a speech about the lack of due process on Wednesday at the agency's board meeting (5-min video, item number 3): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGrxwZjythI&list=PLAkSTXk9sO0FpPKvyQe6JDo8_crqgRWMd&index=9. Since the speech was limited to 5-minutes, I also submitted a more detailed request in writing: https://gwsandiego.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/2023-ATBOR-Requests-.pdf

You are correct, I could have and should have been more polite.

Follow my logic, Gavin has already debated DeSatis, even though he is not officially running for 2024 Presidency.

Now, Gavin lets his AG go hog wild on Hunter, as a threat to Joe, with DNC approval no doubt. Joe steps down from running again. He thinks he will be saving his legacy and his son.

Gavin keeps the investigation going throughout the election, claiming he is tough on crime and prosecuting the bad man's son.

This would paint him in a similar light as Trump, a good guy taking out the trash but with more media support and less criminal court cases against him.

I agree, I just think this is their best plan and it is doomed to failure.

They truly think they have Trump on the ropes, tied up in court battles.

Then they introduce their Fresh Prince.

Trump will still destroy them, for sure, but Gavin is their last unicorn. Which is truly pathetic; Newsom is the best they have to offer Democrats in America?

Another poster said, Big Mike will be the contender for Biden's lost throne, but I find that doubtful to in the extreme. (read thread)

Good research and well said. However they can't take something they can't prove, meaning CA would have to wait until this plays out in Federal Court before they have a chance to get any money from Hunter.

If the feds prove that Hunter has illicit money he did not pay taxes on, CA could (and would) go after their share after the feds collect their share. CA wouldn't even have to spend the money investigating anything either since the feds would've already done that and gotten a judgement. Free money to CA.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– Christine_grab 2 points 2 years ago +2 / -0

I do not doubt that, once the Feds prove Hunter made money, California will have its hand out for their 13.3%.

But please do not give the California Taxation Agency the benefit of the doubt that they would attempt to prove money is owed prior to collecting. Their standard operating procedure is to assume you made money even if there is no evidence indicating that you did, and then steal the income tax that is allegedly owed out of your bank account. They actually have multiple tools for doing this.

For example, in my case, I bought my house before I was married. Once married, I became a SAHM. Since the mortgage was only in my name, the taxation agency refused to believe that my husband paid the mortgage and insisted that I made an income that was enough to cover the mortgage. My disputes against the fake income they assessed were "misfiled" by the tax agency and then there was a notice of levy put in place without a court hearing where I could prove that this income never existed.

Another tool they use is if someone has a business license, they assume that the person makes the average income of someone with that license and assesses a tax liability based on the average income, even if the person never made a dime doing whatever they had the license for.

They have a bunch more tools in their tool bag. This is just one example.

That was funny because it is true of non-tax crimes.

However, as someone who has been fighting corruption at the CA income tax agency, I can assure you that the California Income Tax Agency is MUCH more aggressive than the IRS. The State income tax agency is vicious and does not follow any rules or laws. CA wants all of your money, they want it now, and they are going to take it from you whether you owe it or not with zero due process to prove its even owed.

When I saw this headline I was all excited because I thought "If the CA tax agency is after him, he's F*****d." Since this article didn't clarify if it was the state or feds prosecuting, I found another article with more details. I'm glad the feds are after him, but I guarantee if the State was after him, he'd be in a bigger world of hurt.

Trust me, Gavin would NEVER go after The Big Guy.

This is where I Think you have it wrong (the rest is spot on). If Gavin wants to ultimately be POTUS he absolutely should go after Hunter any way he can - as long as it results in federal charges and not state. Gavin could order his government to help the feds with any investigations.

If Hunter gets convicted on federal charges, Joe is absolutely stupid enough to pardon Hunter (remember POTUS can only pardon federal charges - not state) and end up being basically forced to step down. Enter Gavin.

▲ 1 ▼
– Christine_grab 1 point 2 years ago +1 / -0

That is an interesting theory. I hadn't considered it, and it is certainly worth mulling over. That said, I still think that people within the State of California were in cahoots with Hunter, and I don't think Gavin would risk exposing people in his own government. But Gavin's hubris is off the charts, so maybe he truly believes he can pin all the blame on Hunter without anyone looking into Newsom's government.
