Because if the insurance companies are on the hook for that much money they are going to do an exhaustive investigation leaving no stones un-turned. That means they would find out the DS/Gov was the culprit behind the whole thing.

Who owned the Insurance Companies?

Lightening , Insurance , Mortgages and "Acts of God" all closely related.

They just hide which God.

The ship and its cargo were damaged, why wouldn’t insurance investigate? And even if they are on the hook for it, I wouldn’t expect the insurance companies to cough up the money to start construction in any time frame that is less than years.

Yes. It should be a very interesting ship manifest.

Keep in mind that this event shutdown a major port known to be not only used by international crime syndicates to traffic weapons, children, and drugs; but the port itself is run by organized crime likely laundering money for several different crime cartels in various ways such as “overbilling” for labor or labor hours (a somewhat standard thing also done at Long Beach, CA port).

Dave from x22 was saying he thinks the criminals are doing it this way because they don’t want any investigations by the shipping company or the insurance agency. Don’t worry the govment will investigate it and pay for it entirely. Sure they will. Because they did it. Just like 9/11 they did it and then investigated it, totally legit.

The insurance companies need to do their investigation regardless of whether the US wants it to or not. They have an obligation under contract with their clients and also the law to do it and will.

Does anybody know where this narrative that insurance won’t be involved came from? It should go without saying that besides the ship and its cargo and the bridge, that people were killed while on the job. lawyers will pay for their summer home off this, and insurance will be intensely involved as it tries to limit how large the checks it write will be.

By what measure have you concluded how much awakening has happened? Trust in government was below 20% at times under Clinton and Obama already, so the bulk of the Country already didn't trust them.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– FuckNewsom 3 points 2 years ago +3 / -0

The rapid decline of the mainstream media is a big clue. Trust of big pharma and our medical establishment is hurting. Homeschooling is on the rise as people are now seeing what’s happening at schools.

Most people I know paid little to no attention to politics and corruption up until a couple years ago. Now everyone is paying attention.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– OffGridGuy 1 point 2 years ago +1 / -0

Trust in media has been declining since 1976. It dropped more from 1976-1997 than it dropped from 1997 to 2008. Depending on specifically what years you pick around 2008 to now you'll see an every so slightly larger or slightly smaller shift than that initial 1976-1997 period. Since 2016 there have been some wild swings down and back up, but what that tells me some people you're considering awake aren't, because their trust changes based on what is happening and can be restored quickly. 1/3 of the Country still trusts them.

Homeschooling still accounts for less than 10% of students and the big jump in numbers coincides with schools closing during Covid, not specifically some great awareness and backlash to the poisonous ideological indoctrination happening in those schools.

I think what we're seeing is more of a radicalization of those that were already believers more than we're seeing normies truly changing what they believe. If you went back 20 years in time and grabbed a Blue Dog Democrat from that era I think they'd be beating both Biden and Trump in the polls.

I'm guessing it will be a non-traceable money laundry scheme. We as taxpayers foot the bill, the insurance company eventually pays, then they parcel it out to the NGO's for election fraud.

Because that's how they enrich their cronies. I'm sure they will be money spent on climate change and racial justice as part of this because obviously minority communities are hardest hit by bridge collapses.

Because years ago we reached the phase where the Government began bribing people with their own money. Because Democratic voters are too stupid to realize they Government can only give away what it stole or borrowed (future stealing).

This is a bad meme. Why?

  1. Just because a ship is flagged from a country does not mean the country owns and operates it. Merchant ships are privately owned and operated. The rules on flagging are so crazy that sometimes there's very little connection at all with the ship's flag on that particular voyage, anyone in the crew, the ship's most recent port of call, or its destination. Just because a ship flies a flag does not make the government of that country liable for anything.

  2. The bridge is going to be paid with insurance money. It's the ship's owner which is liable. It is owned by Grace Ocean Private Ltd, a Singaporean company. It was chartered by Maersk, and they'll likely pass on the liability to GOPL, since it's technically their equipment and their Indian crew. Maersk just held the cargo. GOPL is going to pay for this, not the American taxpayer.

So, GOPL is going to have to tap its insurance, the insurance brokers will fight like hell to low-ball them. This will drag in the courts for a very long time as they argue over maritime law. Biden's running his mouth like the idiot he is. It's an election year, so of course he wants to look like he's in charge and he's being generous (with other people's money of course, because Biden's a POS).

Regardless, it's a bad meme that draws the wrong inferences and implies the wrong conclusions.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– CheekyBastard 2 points 2 years ago +2 / -0

I completely disagree. You just said the ship is owned by a Singaporean company and they're liable. That's makes it another country's ship. Unless you're being so obtusely literal because the actual country of Singapore doesn't own the ship.

Nevertheless, the meme is spot on. Normies won't make the distinction. Why would we pay for damages caused by a ship from another country?

Memes aren't for us. We're already awake.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– Moose_Antlers 1 point 2 years ago +1 / -0

Speaking of deliberately obtuse. I never argued that Singapore's gov't owned the ship or that it was liable. That's a straw man. The company owns the ship. The company is liable under Maritime law dating back to the 1850s. The meme is wrong. It is not the taxpayer's obligation to pay to fix every natural or man-made disaster that happens. I'm beyond sick of people thinking of the federal gov't (and all of our collective wallets) as their own personal piggy bank to crack open for whatever the cause of the day is. That's precisely the attitude you're supposed to be awakened to as a threat to this country. It's the attitude of people who want to use that money (that isn't theirs) for their own purposes. It's bankrupting our country. It's the cause of all of that inflation we keep whining about. This isn't the taxpayer's liability.

None of that precludes the taxpayers from voting to make it their liability. If the trade is in the collective interest and they vote for such a thing, there's nothing that bars such spending in the Constitution. But that sort of behavior is typically left to private people to organize charitable collections on their own, without the men with the guns forcing everyone to pay whether they want to or not. The principle is freedom, including the freedom to keep your own income and spend it on the things you think are important.

If you own one of those trapped ships, or own stock in the Domino sugar company, or one of the cruise lines that operates ships out of that now-blocked harbor, if you work in the shipyards, if you have an interest here, you're going to take steps of your own free will and self-interest to get this fixed. The people of the State of Maryland may vote to support this effort because they depend on that infrastructure. The 10th amendment says this is their right. So let the people who should be handling it handle it instead of looking to Uncle Joey Bribes for a payout.

The US government will pay to make it a fast rebuild of the bridge to re-open the port, but the government has already filed a $1b claim with Britannia.

The Dali ship is owned by Grace Ocean Private, a Singapore-based company, and insured by the Britannia Protection and Indemnity Club.

Britannia is one of the dozen marine insurance member clubs under the International Group of P&I Clubs, a consortium that provides marine liability coverage for 90% of ocean freight and pools liability claims among members.

These insurance companies are backed by insurance companies of their own – a type of business known as a reinsurer.

Around 80 different reinsurers provide around $3 billion in coverage to the Dali’s insurers, according to Moody’s analyst Brendan Holmes. Since the losses will be spread across so many insurers, it’s unlikely to bankrupt any of the companies or cause a major bump in insurance prices, he said.
