QRV was a god send for people like me. QRV and GAW are some of the only boards/hangouts I’ve used in my 32 years.
I still mess with and speak to a lot of the old voat players, but very rarely did I ever leave the confines of QRV, the first and only as of yet board to ever be officialy sanctioned by Q outside the Chan’s.
I’m convinced white hats were helping with the site behind the scenes and almost certain they were pushing and aggregating information on the board.
You could literally see how shills functioned and gave so much credibility to what Q was posting. It was like putting the glasses on and seeing the bots and attacks naked for what they were! This alone was some of the biggest proofs we were on TARGET!

I discovered Q one month in and I was hooked. Having never done ANY social media before made it difficult but the chans, then CBTS was great until reddit kicked us out but Q sent us to QRV on VOAT and it was home.
Because we were directed there by Q I felt like White Hats were protecting us. Then although I never found out what happened by I believe PuttItOut was being threatened and on Christmas Day it ended. Hope he is ok? 🙏

Also, our dataset could assist multi-platform studies to understand similarities and differences of different communities. Last, since Voat was a bastion of free-speech, we are confident that access to our dataset could assist researchers towards training algorithms in natural language processing and detecting hate speech, fake news dissemination, conspiracy theories, etc.
Finally, other than quantitative work, we hope that the data can also be used in qualitative work studying specific events, social theories, and communities.

If you read about the dataset, it is easy to see the ultimate purpose of this analysis was to control free speech, to target what these fuckers deem as malinformation, misinformation, conspiracy theories.
If you look at the PDF, you can see they did a pretty extensive analysis of the conversations on VOAT.
I am sure they are doing the same thing here. I would suggest that these people are also injecting post into this site so as to measure the response for the purpose of measuring their ability to influence us.
That informations is so funny and very interesting, seeing them talk about this site like it’s this important historical artifact really shows the power of hive mind free speech platforms such as these.
Seeing them talk about QRV and GA so openly and how big of an impact they had on the site, coupled with the info Q specifically drive us there knowing Reddit would go down.
It’s funny because a lot of my comments and shenanigans stood out in QRV and the voat chat, undoubtedly I interacted and or feds, bots, and well paid research teams and scrapers were reading my posts right there in our faces!

Very valid point. I recall some threads on voat archive or xyz right after voat went down where they figured out they were trying to influence control the spots we hang out in, as well as bringing IRC chats, one of the last hold outs, into the mainstream to flood that source and inject their policy there.

They had a lot of writings on crypto and other select tech topics.
I think what you describe is EXACTLY on the head. Advanced bots have likely been used to control discuss and gather intel for decades, we are just seeing it publicaly coming out now.
