Putin offers truce if Ukraine exits Russian-claimed areas and drops NATO bid. Kyiv calls it 'absurd'
Russian President Vladimir Putin promised Friday to 'immediately' order a ceasefire in Ukraine and begin negotiations if Kyiv started withdrawing troops from the four regions annexed by Moscow in 2022 and renounced plans to join NATO.
That's the best offer they will get.
Zelensky is a loathsome person.
That's why the Media adore him so much
USA is ready to drop him very soon
Well he’s got the coke-demon to feed. It’s expensive. Screw the little civilians.
zionist jew, aka evil talmudic kazarian jew, worshipping s.antan
there are GOOD jews as well, the conservative orthodox jews!!!
may God have mercy on whole Palestine (including the illegal failed state)
I hear he plays a mean piano... Kek!
loathsome people could be here
If Ukraine think that this a truce offer...lol Thing again, this is definitely not a truce offer. This is WARNING from Putin. Putin absolutely knows that Ukraine is not going to take this offer, but he wants to show the world that he had good intentions. The stupidity of the West and Ukraine thinking like Oh Yeah Putin is afraid of us. Their heads are big thinking that this is a weakness from Putin. What they don't know is that this is the last warning from Putin, before he takes over Ukraine.
Keep eating your popcorn! God loves you!
Yeah but the problem is, zelensky isn't trying to win the war against Russia, he's trying to finish genociding Ukrainians while sparking a kinetic ww3.
Till the last Ukrainian.
Saw a video out of Ukraine of a couple soldiers physically fighting men trying to draft them to serve on the front - the men do not want to go - they know it's a meat grinder. Anyone have a straw? sniff sniff
Well…. Russia could give Zelensky a lifetime subscription of cocaine or meth?
Kiev.
Thank you!
Why not just put a couple of cruise missiles in the air and take out the leadership?
I think the leaders have a gentleman's agreement. As Elon says. Young men who don't know each other, killing each other for old men who do know each other.
In other words. They have agreed to not go after each other. Only the trash dies.
yeah it turns out that all the leaders got together and decided that was a bad idea, it's much less evil to have innocent young men kill each other
Well at least he tried
Poor Putin. Continually offers peace deals and cease fires. Ukraine keeps turning them down.
DO YOU SEE HOW EVIL PUTIN IS TRYING TO SPARK WW3?!?!
Putin: No more war, no more deaths. News: ''Putin is a devil''
Zelensky: More war, no deal, more deaths. News: ''Zelensky is the good guy, everyone loves him''
Beatings will continue until morale improves.
OK. So you level Kiev, and then ask it again.
It's either that or annihilation. But ok. Zelenskoids will be Zelenksoids.
What & stop the AID FLOW, not way.
Persisting in calling Kiev 'Kyiv' is also absurd, but we are in peak clown world.
Well, dossier is not "dah see air", either. But MSM all chose to pronounce it that way and now it has stuck in common usage. Only person I saw get it right on the TeeVee was one of Trump's lawyers back during 2017 or so. Victoria Toensing.
"dah see eh" eh?
doe'-see-eh. Maybe it's an age thing. I grew up watching Man from UNCLE, the James Bond films, Mission Impossible (the original), etc. I think maybe there is just lack of exposure.
It might be an English vs. American thing. Day-tah vs dah-tah, for a relatively simple word 'data', Homer Simpson probably would pronounce it "D'oh!-tah"...
So they have chosen complete destruction.
Putin just needs to use a tactical nuke over Kyiv and then just glass their leadership areas. Reclaim the rest of Ukraine and problem solved.
It’s the Ukraine. Not at any time before all this war nonsense had I heard anyone just call it “Ukraine”, it was always referred to as the Ukraine. It means Little Russia.
Kiev is also correct.
Ukraine: by 1670s, from Russian or Polish Ukraina, a specific use of ukraina "border, frontier," from Old Russian oukraina, from ou "by, at" + kraj region. The territory was so called because it was the borderland or 'frontier zone' of medieval Russia at the time of the Tatar invasion in the 13th century.
Ukraine was formerly also known as Little Russia, so called by contrast with Great Russia, when the medieval principality here became separated from 'mainstream' czarist Russia as a result of the Mongol invasion. [Room, 2006]

the emphasis is mine
Another reason why it was always referred to as "the" Ukraine is when translated, Ukraine = border region. So it's always been known & referred to as "the border region" recognizing everything to West of the region as Europe and everything East as Russia & Eurasia.
That and the fact that the Russian language does not typically use articles like "the" and "a". Their counterparts are not in the language.
Correct anon, same as Latvian even though not Cyrillic based language.
I should've clarified it's phonetically why English and other Western language countries have always referred to Ukraine as The Ukraine.
Exactly. Why should we change our historic usage, when we don't change the way we have historically pronounced its name?
The cryillic language is fascinating. Do you know anything else?
Lingually? Bits of stuff, enough to get by I suppose. German, Spanish, Lithuanian... but I've created many holes in my hard drive since school.
English & Latvian I am fluent.
Is reason why Russian language sounds terse. Not need many word.
:)) And yet, for such economy of words, they write profound and lengthy novels.
I took Russian at work for about a year; had to leave it just as we were being introduced to the perfective verbs. I admired the language, both how it sounded and looked. It seemed in keeping with their approach to engineering: spare, thoughtful, and concise.
Didn't realize we had so many reddit grammar girls in here. I mean am I wrong on the nuke part? The US dropped two nukes on Japan to "save hundreds of thousands" of US lives. Pretty sure Russia can do that and save just as many
Nobody ever in the history of the world wants to eat a "Chicken Kyiv" at a restaurant.
It’s because we’re funding these losers for 10 more years. They got something on Biden.
What are they going to do? They are almost out of our money…
It is absurd. They have no interest in stopping the money train.
Zelensky: I prefer to continue with this show and be receiving those millions of dollars from Americans' taxes.
Ukraine deserves to feel the offer is absurd. Hate it all you want. Nobody GAF 🖕🏼 🇺🇦
