Lots of threads lately showing up with no source information. I am considering any and all posts without it as misinformation, shilling or self promotion. You should too.
It's also against the rules last i checked.
Lots of high energy stuff going on right now, this is the prime time to stay focused. Of course, this measure does not include high powered memes or any information that is interpreted as not needing any research. That's on the viewer to do, as an extracurricular endeavor. But it DOES include X/Twitter posts. Post the nitter or other archiving source of these, and of ANY source you have, if its available. Any sauce is better than no sauce!
Post it in the comments. Save us all some time.
End rant. Thank you.
And make post titles clear as to what's inside! I shouldn't have to click it just to see what it is.
Yeah I started to downvote threads that are just titled useless shit like:
"Omg totally agree!!!!!"
"Truth!"
"THISSSSSS!"
"HES SO RIGHT!"
"EXACTLY"
and on and on. Not even worth my time to enter, as I'll never be able to find the thread again if I need to source something in the future, as the thread will be un-searchable and un-findable
Come on, let's do better
I do the same thing🐸👌
"MAGATs Hate This One Trick".
:)
Keep doing so. Mods are very busy so anything we can do to help
This thirty second trick is changing everything!
That takes some practice i admit. To create a headline out of a paragraph, source or image that may have many points that are important in it. But i have seen some where its just like diving into concrete and its a bit confusing, so i agree.
My favorites are these types:
KASH PATEL IS ON 🔥
Literally zero details at all as to what Kash Patel is talking about, for example. I rail against this because I use the search function a lot on here, but if there are no pertinent keywords in the title it won't pull.
At least that one says it has something to do with Kash Patel. How about this one - 🔥🔥🔥 😂😮😨😱😕
🤣 yes, the absolute worst.
<rant adjacent comment>
And IF you are posting from Twitter, at a minimum, Have the Frickin Sauce Account in the Subject Title, as in (example):
Clandestine: Everything you see has been predicted and now the Russians are Moving big time!
or
Joe Rambo: "The Pentagon just went Ballistic!"
Just typing "The Pentagon just went Ballistic!" as the subject line is bona fide lazy and unnecessary. It's the very definition of sauceless information.
Why add the Sauce when using a pure quote as your subject line? Because spending that extra 5 seconds (OK, 10 if you are really dyslexic or sumtin') saves every single reader who looks at the board time and effort when deciding: am I interested in this post? Did the Frog here write it? Or is it a quote from someone else?
(your) small effort >>> (our) collective increased effectiveness
IMO, typing the sauce in the subject line of a quote should be obligatory. Basic copy/pasta quotes as subject titles are OK, but NOT if they leave out WHO is do the saying, aka the asserting, aka the reporting, aka the sauce.
All the best dishes come with sauce.
<end rant adjacent comment>
Good point, I’m not doing that but will start.
AND double check it’s not a parody account.
Or if it's "Fan Page" or "Commentary" account! So many times I've seen posts from those accounts and it's all just engagement bait and/or not true!
"engagement bait" ~
updoogle.
Thank you, I second it
and avoid double posting. And everyone ( big and small frogs) should do a search to see if something has been posted first before posting.
and full circle, we can't determine if a topic is already posted if the post title is bad! 😅
Sauce or GTFO!!!
u/#SlamTheGavel
Rofl...that meme is fuggin’ hilarious...MOAR!
ABSOLUTELY
Quite easy to make, remnants in pan, finely diced shallots, dry cider, stock and viola…
And just a pinch of rosemary
Fancy.
I'll see your rant and raise you another rant:
Twitter, TikTok, FB, or some rando paytriot podcaster who spends half his damn video hawking product and reminding me to boost him on the algorithm is not sauce.
Far too much of this site has devolved into reposting people effectively just gossiping and rumormongering on the socials. It's low quality garbage information and half the time I suspect it's just the individuals themselves reposting their own "content" here to try and boost views and engagement for their own revenue. It's a business model built around producing bull crap.
If we're seeking truth, post real data with real sauce, please.
Pay attention, frogledites. An army is ONLY as effective as the discipline and methods it employs.
I have noticed this too. Or the source will be realrawnews or some other clickbait crap
You will see a certain pattern with some posters. They could be as i described, or they could be an honest anon that just hasn't entertained other sources yet and want to contribute. I have learned to be more patient in these situations, even though i haven't in the past. Everyone has their own journey and their own awakening.
I’ll add that there some who post X info as a screenshot. When asked for sauce, they claim they don’t have an X account.
WHA??
Yep. That's disinformation. You can create fake tweets, it's all over the chans and there is reason to believe it happens here too
Yep If I see a post with no explanation I just scroll on by. To much going on and not enough time.
I'm glad somebody made this post. None of this matters if we don't source our claims.
Precisely. Propaganda only lives if it cannot be proven to be deception.
Please FILL Post titles with KEYWORDS so We can do a quick search and not duplicate post because someone is lazy and post something already but we don't know because the title sucks and doesn't describe content!
I got a three day ban for asking for sauce. You get a sticky, lol. I agree. Sauce or it didn't happen.
Maybe you asked for bechamel when it was a hollandaise day? Some of the mods have .... unusual .... palettes.
But lol, maybe you triggered a Dickenisan response, with an Oliver Twistish.. "please sir, I want some more"
I ask for sauce all the time. I wish someone would give me a 3-day ban. I need a break.
Lol. You could always bring up one of the 'banned' topics. Go on and on about Flat earth. That ought to rate a few days. If you want a week, maybe throw in a few comments about the fake moon landing.
Just be sure to drop us a postcard so we know you're alright.
kekeke
I bet you were surprised when you got the ban...
Astonished?
Stunned?
Stupefied?
You were probably <drum roll> gob-smacked....
hehehe
I see what you did there.
If you tell a story about what happened out on a hike on a trail, that could result in a 3day ban.
Yesterday's ban is tomorrow's ultra mega sticky
That shouldn't have happened. Let me know if it happens again
What's your sauce, pal!
Obvious disinformation!
You want sauce? Here it is!
It’s always a good time for the ultimate politician musical number!
https://youtube.com/watch?v=AALREbJZEZk
Kek!
pretty decent i should add
A hearty chuckle indeed, thank you anon
I wonder if we could have a badge that is added to posts that have a primary source?
Would be a bit of something extra for posters to reach for and a great visual aid to know when to pump the breaks on sharing something.
ORIGINAL SAUCE
I second it!
Where's the link to the rules? (Also agree that if there is sauce, post it!)
https://greatawakening.win/p/16ZqiJqXbh/
Good job, Thanks! 😊
thank you
The rules are in the right sidebar.
Where the condiments are also kept.
You may need to see the page in desktop view. On mobile you can't really see it.
HERE, HERE!!!!!
Or is it
HEAR, HEAR!!!
If you're referencing the 18th century Founding Fathers, it's "hear, hear" as in "listen to this man and his points. Hear him."
Er, pedantic quibble, but "hear hear!" reportedly originated in the British Parliament in the 17th century. naturally, the Founding Fathers, all Englishmen as well as Americans at the time, used this vernacular, but it's not exclusively or specifically something from "the 18th Century Founding Fathers".
Saucey sauce: https://www.masterclass.com/articles/hear-hear-expression-explained
Agree, and I would add: post sources from the mainstream media, if they are available. I don't know how it is for other people here, but I cannot use any of the usual sources like thegateway or your random X post. If I show these to normies, they just ignore it.
If we want to open the eyes of normies, which Q has tasked us to do, we need to use the media they trust. I know it's hard to find, but they are out there, and there is increasingly more articles we can use. New York Times is famous for its long articles, where the headline and first paragraph is lying, but then 3000 words down, they tell you what really happened
Well there is the stipulation of not giving revenue to an MSM outlet, so usually we try to avoid directly linking to them generally. But an archive of a page from the MSM is completely passable. If its only coming from AP or Reuters, thats not too bad.
But i do agree, at this point I think letting people discover the blatant propaganda is good learning material.
Sauce?

Lol
Lol. Thank you for your hard work here, I look forward to your insight
Completely agree with you fren. Thanks for the post, the board needs this reminder every now and then.
I agree with this post. I will add though that i have posted comments before with commonly known information to us on GAW and then been asked for sauce. I have learned so much on here, and i do not have it all retained, sorted and at hand. It really does go both ways, especially in reference to old and commonly known topics on here where one, especially newbies, can use the search function and try to find the information and previous topic discussions.
I will respectfully add that this is also how an echo chamber functions. Endless repetition of a statement can make it seem like a fact, even if it is not true. The source is really important to constantly allow verification, even of things we think we know very well. As we often say to the climate hoaxers "the science is never settled."
In practice, as you suggest, it's not always a feasible standard to meet. You simply don't always have access to the link. If you're on your phone, for example, you may not have access to links on your desktop, etc. I don't have links to a lot of things I know and post about professionally. I could look them up, but I don't. For example, if I'm posting my soapbox about SSRIs, I don't always post the link to the Nature article in which a clear argument shows serotonin deficit doesn't cause major depression.
Perhaps the site would be better if we tried to do less "shoot from the hip" posting and more thoughtful, sourced posting, when feasible?
And just for clarification purposes, if I'm the OP I always bring the sauce. Just not always when commenting.
I understand that. As you have said, if you make a post, you do, so that's what this is about. It's hard to condense years of research into a reply.
LOVE it, and thank you.
Amen to this. I get really irritated to see threads with zero sauce. We can do better!!!
We like it saucy!!!!
I sometimes use Grok to generate better title.
Totally agree
HEAR HEAR.
sounds good to me. what ever happend to voting them down? didn't we used to be able to or am i living in past (voat)
