I don't think it was meant as an insult, but rather a statement about just how deep the corruption and lies go, and how vast they are. It would be hard for anyone to know all of them.
The first two were before my time. Although, I remember the global cooling BS carrying over into the crying Native American garbage propaganda which was their segway into the whole "go green save muh planet from global warming ozone rot" narrative.
It has always been interesting to me how the propaganda and social engineering has evolved over the decades. It's intoxicating to be aware of it and not be effected. It's sobering to watch the normies though. How fortunate anons are.
Made for the plot of the greatest battlefield game no one seems to remember (battlefield 2142) the plot line was about an EAU (euro american union) vs CSAT (everyone else damn near except africa they just stopped existing apparently) were fighting over the last oil reserves on earth. Game was dope though
It was to protect you from any falling building structure, ceiling materials, lights, etc. It's still good advice. We had to use it during the Nisqually Earthquake in 2001. Various buildings suffered plumbing damage and one laboratory building was so structurally damaged that it was stricken off as unrepairable.
More taxes and more consumer fads. In the 90s everything was a gel to avoid selling aerosols. The girls in class loved their hair spray and did not care about the ozone one bit
The Jupiter Effect is a 1974 book by John Gribbin and Stephen Plagemann, in which the authors predicted that an alignment of the planets of the Solar System would create a number of catastrophes, including a great earthquake on the San Andreas Fault, on March 10, 1982. The book became a best-seller.[ The predicted catastrophes did not occur.
Isn't that when the Earth was on one side of the Sun and all the other planets were lined up on the other side? I remember they said all the planets' gravity together, was going to spell doom for us! 🙄
Yup. There were a lot of doomers walking around predicting the planet would be devastated. I was like - this probably happens every few hundred years, why is this time different?
They know that fear stimulates hoarding behavior, and hoarding leads to buying. Fearscaping / doomscaping is a whole-of-Industry, drip marketing campaign (camp pain) to stimulate fear in order to increase market volatility. What the stock market HATES is stagnation. It can't be 'stable', because 'stability' is bad. If there are no winners, there are no losers, and vice versa. There needs to be peaks and valleys. The market needs losers, so it makes you into one by driving you fucking nuts thru the news.
THIS is the essence of why the media is a weapon of mass destruction and the enemy of people everywhere. And marshall mcluhan was right with 'the medium is the message' because the medium now is new media, social media, and the fact that the govenrment can reach out and manipulate 333M people thru the quasi mandated covert dept of homeland security backdoors that allow unelected bureaucrats (like musk, but on the other side) to surreptitiously place ideas in their brains, so that they can keep their ponzi schemes and money laundering systems going. Doesn't matter if it's a D or an R in charge.
I don't know about others on this site, but I DEFINITELY now have a decent supply of toilet paper because of the idiotic panic buying of toilet paper that happened during covid. What is really infuriating is that the cost of toilet paper has not really dropped since covid! Who would have thought that $1 for a roll of toilet paper would become the norm (and the same for paper towels!)!
Gotta admit the climate change is an improvement noncommittal and you can literally change it on the fly to make it fit any weather pattern. This one has more staying power. Somebody should have gotten a raise for that narrative
And in 2025 we find out the criminals were using our money and laundering it for anyone but us! Send them all to jail, unless they get the death penalty.
I remember vividly in 1996, when I had just bought my first new car (when I thought that was a good decision), I was at a stop light, feeling proud of my shiny new car. The news comes on at the top of the hour, and the news guy says "Government officials say that we will run out of gasoline in 10 years". I remember feeling deflated, and thinking "well, at least I get to enjoy my new car for a few years before I can't put fuel in it anymore." I am still mad that they took the wind out of my sails with their lies.
Love it!
alarmism
Hehehe, yea I am, no bueno! Always think the sky is gonna fall, but I don’t steal people’s money, ha!
I hope you love it in a sarcastic way.
Of course, I've existed in the late 70s, ha!
I remember it all.
I bet you don't.

The link you provided is good, but why head it with an insult?
I don't think it was meant as an insult, but rather a statement about just how deep the corruption and lies go, and how vast they are. It would be hard for anyone to know all of them.
I guess the downvotes were from people who thought it was an insult :)

Good meme OP. o7
Truth. I remember most of them, and the first one they ran over and over...
People STILL believe we're running out of oil.
Peak oil,was their thing years ago,yet we keep finding and producing more and more.
I was very much taken in by peak oil, but the learning curve ended up bringing me here.
Me too. They put out a lot of propaganda on Peak Oil. We had hit the peak, and we were on the downside and would be running out of oil.
It's all about increasing and protecting their bottom line.
Thats good. My brother the petroleum Geologist told me it was bullshit, so I never belived it.
If they believe the stupid Dinasaur Fossil narrative, then of course they do.
If we start running out, all we have to do is wring out Gavin Newsom's hair.

Burning oil to fight for oil.
Yup
Have to work the biggest lie the hardest
And before that, there were "drop drills" where we would climb under our desks at school in order to evade a nuclear bomb.
I did that through 3rd grade. It seemed ridiculous since our class was on the 3rd floor.
Just drop a little sooner, thats all

I remember the joke about putting your head between your legs and kiss your butt goodbye
I did those in elementary school. 🙈
My only argument is that the Ozone fear actually started in 1970.. and kept going in 1980.. but yeah everything else is 100
I recalled them talking about it through the 90s and it would have to be the 90s because i wasnt alive yet in the 80s
I’m old enough to Fren lol remembered all this BS
It's gone back to the 1800s at least. Can't find the old newspaper article link, but found a gross Wikipedia link:

More taxes and more consumer fads. In the 90s everything was a gel to avoid selling aerosols. The girls in class loved their hair spray and did not care about the ozone one bit
Till this day, I always picture the rain burning my hair off
Can you imagine what the public school children must be having drilled into their brains now?
Seriously. No wonder these kids are so crazy
Exactly
Each of those fake causes gave them billions of dollars to steal from us. Before that was the nuclear threat. I remember duck and cover.
I practiced duck and cover up to 3rd grade in a classroom on the 3rd floor.
Anyone remember in 1982 when all the planets were going to line up and that was going to be the end?

Every decade there is more doomscaping. But why?
Because BUY is why

This is also why: Trump represents and existential threat to their ))quo world order((
Are't you glad we stopped them by paying higher taxes! KEK
2020s: OMG! Russia will kill us all in 10 years! 2030s: OMG! The aliens will kill us all in 10 years!
Gotta admit the climate change is an improvement noncommittal and you can literally change it on the fly to make it fit any weather pattern. This one has more staying power. Somebody should have gotten a raise for that narrative
And more laws, which are passed to exert more control over us.
Acid rain was also on the late 60s early 70s.
I had forgotten about the acid rain.
Standing Room Only. (1960s)
aka- Stop procreating.
They were hoping Common Sense would be gone in 10 years.
The invisible scare tactic. like viruses. noone can see it, but look out! it gonna get us all! reeeee
A walk back in time, forgot about the Acid rain, what bull sh** we were told and believed.
Whats the next one?
And in 2025 we find out the criminals were using our money and laundering it for anyone but us! Send them all to jail, unless they get the death penalty.
Yep. Same.

OMG, AI will kill us in 10 years!
To paraphrase lord of war: Why worry about something that can kill you in ten years, when there are so many things that can kill you today?
Me, too!!
1940s and 50s they killed all the men, which made the 60s ripe for the taking of women and young minds.
