Ha! Duh! I see your point. I think the term âPlant Basedâ triggered me. That said, I would still be willing to bet itâs a label thatâs used as a smokescreen for less desirable ingredients.
I agree. If you want good quality âold fashionedâ jam this is a great brand. Itâs in most groceries. Only bad thing is sugar, but itâs better quality than most. No corn syrup.
Modified starch is a starch that has been physically, chemically, or enzymatically altered to enhance its functionality for specific uses, primarily in food and industrial applications. Derived from natural starches like corn, wheat, potato, or tapioca, it undergoes processes such as hydrolysis, oxidation, or cross-linking to improve properties like texture, stability, viscosity, or resistance to heat, acid, or shear.
I was being rhetorical but I appreciate you sharing the knowledge. Thank you. As I suspected, taking natural things and modifying them in a lab or creating inferior (harmful) copies of natural things is the devils work.
Super sorry that we poisoned you, your family and the entire country for the past 75 years, but now we will remove those poisons so please buy our product.
Great. Now Kraft and Heinz should remove HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP from their catsup and also pancake syrups.
High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) causes several health problems. The consumption of HFCS has increased over the past few decades, and caused a rise in obesity rates. Studies show that HFCS leads to increased fat production and inflammation in the body. It can also cause liver disorders like fatty liver disease and is linked to increased risk of type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance.
At the supermarket, look at every bottle of catsup on the shelf. Nearly 100% of them has HFCS as the first ingredient... meaning that a large part of catsup is HFCS. Only a few types of catsup are exceptions. Now look at pancake syrups. Same thing, #1 ingredient is HFCS.
The government should give food manufacturers 2 years to pull all HFCS from the market. It's easy to make the same catsup or syrup using more natural substitutes.
I hope RFK Jr will take action on this. That HFCS is poison to your body.
Better yet, companies like Kraft and Heinz and Coca-Cola and Pepsi, etc, shouldnât be allowed to use anti-competitive practices to drive all competition to either join or be crushed.
Take weeks trying to find a brand that makes a nice product, like I dunno Honest Tea, boom theyâre Coca-Cola now.
I haven't touched any of that crap for decades. That was the result of part intuition and part common sense. I will continue to not touch their crap no matter how amazing they decide to become because of what they did. What do you get when you cross a schmuck with a fucker?
About six months ago, I noticed that the Friskies cat food we give our animals no longer had any dyes in it, I wonder if that was when their parent company started removing artificial colors across the board.
When the hands are close to the fire they change. Yet the toxins used for decades have been banned in Europe for a long time. For decades they have shown how much they care about the American people. They didnât change because they cared! Iâd love to know what Trumpâs team has on these companies
the dems will bitch about it ONLY because it was a conservative that made it happen. i may have to start selling food dies so the dems can die in protest to the RFK win!
I have a hard time going back to any of these companies who were trying to poison me.
Yup I eat all organic. Itâs worth it to me to spend more on food that is healthy. Only cook in animal fats or avocado oil/olive oil.
Itâs now easier than ever to find no seed oil, no cane sugar foods. Primal Kitchen is great for things like ketchup and mayonnaise.
I also now make a lot of my own dressings, dips and BBQ sauces. No cane sugar, avocado oil based and if I make something sweeter I use honey.
I donât know how well it would do but I want to open a brewery with a MAHA inspired kitchen after the economy gets back on itâs feet.
I was disappointed when I learned Primal Kitchen uses plant based ingredients. I just canât get on the plant based bandwagon.
Wouldnât ketchup be all plant based? I get the Beyond- stuff, but howâs âplant basedâ affect ketchup?
Ha! Duh! I see your point. I think the term âPlant Basedâ triggered me. That said, I would still be willing to bet itâs a label thatâs used as a smokescreen for less desirable ingredients.
Yeah, thatâs exactly what I was wondering if you were getting at. Have had the same thought.
âWhy not just say the plant? Is this shenanigans?â
For what products? I only really buy their condiments and I read the labels.
I saw it on the ketchup ingredients.
Yeah I have seen some of their products labeled plant based. Iâll look at my ketchup from them when I get home
I would be willing to bet âPlant Basedâ is a label thatâs used as a smokescreen for less desirable ingredients.
It makes me wonder, are they talking about a living "plant", or a manufacturing "plant" when they say "plant based"?
What age bracket are you in? Reason I ask is because unless you under a certain age, the clock is more likely to kill you than non-orgainc foods lol.
I am 31
Some of n us reached out current ages by avoiding that stuff.
That's a fact jack!
Companies that wanted us to Dye?
Yes, as artificial as it seems.
I agree. If you want good quality âold fashionedâ jam this is a great brand. Itâs in most groceries. Only bad thing is sugar, but itâs better quality than most. No corn syrup.

đ
Wish they would do bioengineered ingredients as well!
...and high-fructose corn syrup.
I'm in favor.
However I think one of the rationales behind it was that it was helping our farmers
Like modified starch. WTF is âmodifiedâ starch anyway? Not good Iâm sure. Cheap evil bastards.

FOAD
Yeah you can be sure they are only doing the right thing because they are being forced to. It's all about $$ with these giant corporations.
Same as when politicians get caught and say sorry and start doing the exact same thing they were caught doing the next day.
I noticed Smucker's indicated they will remove them from the Sugar Free Fruit Spreads, but I did not see their regular preserves and jelly's listed.
Nestle FFS? The amount of children these f*ckers have killed in Africa with their powdered baby milk is staggering. Vengeance is mine says the Lord.
Yes the vast majority of people don't realize how evil Nestle is.
Great. Now Kraft and Heinz should remove HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP from their catsup and also pancake syrups.

Grocery Chains doing the same thing now, too.
100%. It is next to impossible to find a seafood sauce or steak sauce that doesn't have HFCS in it.
The ingredients are so simple for tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. You'll never buy the shelf stable shit again.
What about all the other crap they put in there so-called food?
I've switched to such a clean diet, I'll never eat their stuff again.
I haven't touched any of that crap for decades. That was the result of part intuition and part common sense. I will continue to not touch their crap no matter how amazing they decide to become because of what they did. What do you get when you cross a schmuck with a fucker?
Intuition is an amazing instinct we haveâŠif only more people would realize they have it and nurture it.
As well as our attention to how their bodies react when putting stuff in their bodies. There are signals to not ingest and to ingest most times.
In the meantime donât eat their crapâonce you knowâŠ
"by the end of 2027"..
SmuckerâsâŠâspreadingââŠI see what you did theređ
About six months ago, I noticed that the Friskies cat food we give our animals no longer had any dyes in it, I wonder if that was when their parent company started removing artificial colors across the board.
Why are companies taking 2 years to get this done? It's kinda like the c*vid vax, the damage has already been done.
Good. Now remove seed oils from everything and high fructose corn syrup!
Incoming court injunction and not~ progressive Democrats will be adding tears to their soy latte's.
Big Food and Big Pharma are owned by the same people! One supplies clients to the other, ensuring they suck you all dry!
Meanwhile.... suck it for the next 2 years!

I've already moved away from that junk. I pay a little more but get stuff closer to homemade without the chemicals.
If it is in a jar or package and sits on a shelf or a freezer, it has preservatives in it. Still garbage food. Eat fresh.
Well, they either take the poisonâs out of their products or go broke? We arenât FAFO with them!
Evidently it took Nestle's 10 months to eliminate artificial food dyes from products.
See today's advisement here: https://x.com/SecKennedy/status/2067619275662069976
I still want to know why they all put them there in the first place.
