The Trump Administration is taking steps to end the abomination of Indian Call Centers and to reshore all call center work to Enligh-speakers on American soil.
. . .,
So that’s the good news, and it is exciting.
So what’s the twist?
What’s the catch that I warned you about up above?
Sadly, I think it may not matter, because I think in a matter of months, not years, almost all Customer Service Roles will be handled by AI.
And as horrible as an Indian Call Center is, at least they’re still human beings.
I love so much of what AI can do for us, but chatting with an AI bot is atrocious.
Ai is ghey as shit, questionably efficient and an obvious bubble. I have no idea why so many people think that it is going to take over all these jobs lol
Because most people who work any customer service job, currently have some AI program already integrated in their daily work and systems… Only low IQ individuals can’t see the plain, big writing on the walls. If you don’t know, all you have to do is ask…
You do realize that AI isn't profitable right? Chatgpt is literally running out of money. There's also not enough infrastructure to support it.
Maybe AI will see some major use in the government but as far as it replacing millions of skilled laborers it needs to get A: a lot better and B: profitable.
It's a shame you downvoted me for trying to educate you.
Profitability is not a factor right now. The companies that are investing heavily in AI right now are not unlike any other startup.
The goal right now is to invest all of their capital into their AI algorithm with the idea of hitting a critical threshold that can replace a significant number of workers, then make the pivot towards profitability.
Some will succeed, others will fail.
The top programmers in the industry haven't written a line of code in 2026.
You are basing your opinion of AI based on free models. There is an enormous gulf between modern paid models and the free versions. I haven't been a professional developer for 20 years and I've been able to create projects with Claude AI in 48 hours that would have taken me months in the past. The code is more efficient, more elegant and more secure than anything I could have written.
Yes, there is an AI bubble. Enormous capital has been directed into these projects and some will inevitably fail. But AI is most certainly not "ghey as shit". It's an invaluable tool that will replace a disturbingly high number of jobs in the future.
Workers must adapt and become proficient to justify their role. If not, they will be unemployed.
EDIT: I don't think many people have realized that there's a close connection between AI and what President Trump is doing with communist/London vassal states like Venezuela, Iran and in the future, Cuba.
Trump is fighting against the London elites' de-industrialization plan for the U.S. and the West. Trump is fighting to make the U.S. an industrial country again to ensure that there are jobs for hardworking patriots that cannot be replaced by AI.
Yes. The great "shutting down Americans business operations that are overseas" is really just consolidation back into the US as to eventually migrate everything to AI.
Less scam calls would be great too, if thats possible. I have a "do not answer the phone" protocol in place because of the number of scam calls. I only look at voicemails.
Just like email. It is super easy to change the number you are calling from to be some random number. Most traceback programs dont really get used, and the effective ones are used by law enforcement for stuff they can prosecute on.
Well Hallelujah. They can have their own call centers over in India and we'll have our own native English speaking call centers here in America.
I would like to understand what they are saying if I'm asking for assistance. I don't even want to get started on AI. I almost tossed my phone a couple of times while speaking to AI in prompts and loops.
That's actually an album title done by Cajun comedian Justin Wilson. I used to watch his cooking show on TV. Back in the 70s, I heard his comedy records on late night AM radio on the clear channel trucker channels.
I can understand Cajun people much better than Indian people.
You're a rassisst. Brown people need jobs, too, ya know. It's your fault for not learning Hindi at a young age. Heck, I learned ebonics and my wife is amazed that I can translate hood rat dialect into a form she can understand. So, all it takes is the rassist blinders to be pulled off and look into the hearts of the Indians on the other end of the line. Kek. ;)
So that is happening, especially to larger businesses. Several of the big players are hurting, they dont like trumps new 100k fee per year to maintain each foreign worker.
Excellent. The amount of knowledge workers displaced by this crap are insane. The crazy part to me is some companies would opt to move their finance teams and server infrastructure teams first. Thinking it would be a great idea
Eh... I dunno if this is a win, but in more technical roles where you really have to be skilled, call center jobs can pay more than you'd think so it might move the needle, and if nothing else adding jobs to the point where companies cannot necessarily dictate low wages because people are desperate probably helps too.... as long as we don't turn around and undo all this stuff the moment the administration changes and its all for nothing.
Ok, so in that EO, just say if AI is to be used for any call centers, or as any kind of operator, they must anounce it at the beginning of the call, and have an option to talk to a person if they desire. If they dont, it is a $100.00 fine, per call, and a $50.00 cash or check per call penalty to the customer.
I don't like calling and getting an Indian call center but at least they're in India. The H1B problem needs to be addressed first. Otherwise, you'll still get an Indian when you call but they'll be an H1B somewhere in America.
". . .,
First, the great news.

I am not excited for that future."
I can insult AI, just as effectively as I do Indians. I'll simply tell them that their mother was a circuit board for a solar powered vibrating dildo.
Ai is ghey as shit, questionably efficient and an obvious bubble. I have no idea why so many people think that it is going to take over all these jobs lol

I say this friendly but candidly, you do not understand what is happening with AI.
If you did, you'd have a radically different perspective.
You do realize that AI isn't profitable right? Chatgpt is literally running out of money. There's also not enough infrastructure to support it.

So far XAI in my opinion is better than the average native speaking person. Those people are also kind of stupid sometimes.
He is making my wife happy with this.
For the scammers, I would like him to go all beekeeper on them.
Hadn't seen that one yet, waitin for it to be free,we love Hansum Rob i mean Jason movies
It's free on tubi right now.
That was a great "B" movie!
Less scam calls would be great too, if thats possible. I have a "do not answer the phone" protocol in place because of the number of scam calls. I only look at voicemails.
Same, I do not answer unknown phone numbers.
Delete and report scam
Probably does nothing—feels good though. We all fight our battles!
Correct, reporting scam does nothing.

Just wait, first call center back in the states will be in Louisiana and all the operators will speak creole.
"How y'all are!"

I would like to speak to American’s again and not have to ask for someone who can annunciate English well.

Gavin Newsome that you?
Kek
"Thank you for calling customer service, this is Steve!".
"Really, Steve? Where are you?"
"Just outside of Detroit."
"How far outside Detroit?"
"About 8000 miles"
You mean "7983.89 miles" "Would you like me to map that out for you or can I assist you in a different way" "What do you mean im not human"
Dearborn is only 9 miles from Detroit. And it's full of jeets.
Do away with Indian IT contractors too. Lost my last job to an Indian overseas
So that is happening, especially to larger businesses. Several of the big players are hurting, they dont like trumps new 100k fee per year to maintain each foreign worker.
It is glorious.
Excellent. The amount of knowledge workers displaced by this crap are insane. The crazy part to me is some companies would opt to move their finance teams and server infrastructure teams first. Thinking it would be a great idea
You mean a suckmandeep

That is just great...Now some AI is going to do the job.
AI will still have an Indian accent, just to twist Americans sensibilities.
Ringy-dinggy-dingy
*appears to be
Freaking clickbait.
For real?
I have recently discovered that they do not like to be referred to as "Fez".
Yeah my name is Joe, get the hell out of here!

In my best Indian voice "Thank You very much!"
I don't like calling and getting an Indian call center but at least they're in India. The H1B problem needs to be addressed first. Otherwise, you'll still get an Indian when you call but they'll be an H1B somewhere in America.
Here's a quarter....
u/#rundown
A face only a mother could love...holy cray-up!
Canada says, "What if we bring them to Canada? Will you accept Canadian call centers?"
😊👏
And stupid ai please.
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
I was just beginning to understand their accent. Now what am I to do, hit 2 and learn Spanish? Ugh.
Hopefully he'll get rid of all the Indian scammers too?
I’d prefer if that happened first to be honest. A couple of well placed missiles would do it.
I'm more concerned about the legal ones already here (H1Bs) stealing jobs from American citizens.
Stinky bastards are everywhere.
(in an Indian accent) Thank you, don't come again.
Thanks for outing yourself shill, you'll be gone from here soon.
