The movie is about a foreigner (an American) who owns thousands of properties in Europe. He acts entitled because of it. He doesn't like that there are older people in their 50s and 60s working for his company so he tells a manager to get rid of them and bring in new blood. He is in his 40s but he's not married and he doesn't have children. He has sex with prostitutes. And he kills European citizens.
He killed law enforcement officers for doing their jobs. He killed innocent people in a car (men? women? children?)simply because they didn't change lanes.
There were some cool moments and some good points made but it was really badly done.
Not to mention the gaping holes in the plot. He asks a woman in the hospital if she wants justice and she says "Yes" and that's the end of it. The movie never shows the vigilante going after her assailant. Then there are three teenagers in a park assaulting an innocent guy. Two guys and a girl. The vigilante breaks the two guy's bones but the girl magically disappears.
I understand the point it was trying to make and I agree with that point, but it was so terribly executed.
Good to know,thanks for posting.
I was skeptical as soon as I heard that the movie starred Armie Hammer - a true Hollyweirdo. I agree with OP assessments. However, I also felt a pressure valve being released, when I watched it. I will admit a sense of satisfying justice during some of the scenes. No shame. The main character does indeed deliver "justice" for those he asked if they wanted to receive it. That was the whole point to the movie. Idk what the OP missed there. But it's cool. It was absolutely dusturbing to watch the innocent people in the other car (probably) harmed by the main characters game of "chicken". It highlighted how unhinged this person is. It wasn't all about justice for him. He was a messed up person aware that he was a broken/bad person and purposing his dysfunctions toward a good cause (in his mind). Typical vigilante movie plot, similar to Batman in that way and also that the vigilante is wealthy. But, yes; I did wonder at times if the purpose was to radicalize and demonize all sides of the subject. That said, I absolutely think it was wrong to censor the movie.
Not to get too deep or anything😀😀😀…..but “justice" for those he asked if they wanted to receive it.”
Kinda’ sounds like his BDSM history.😀😀😀😩😩😩
Casting was spot on!!! ( didn’t watch tho).
The citizen vigilante is the most common plotline Hollywood had to offer in the past. See Taxi Driver/Rambo/Lawnmower Man/Cape Fear et al. If they can't own the meme, they feel the need to destroy it.
Citizen Vilginante is exactly what you would get if you did a 50/50 mash-up of Falling Down and Law Abiding Citizen.
If the below triggers you ... good. Think first, sense where your resistance comes from.
What do you not comprehend about the word: property/ ownership. That is a title right there. A true title. Not some fake one where huggies and a lot of paint is needed to plaster it over.
No, you have your panties in a twist: it is that Mohammedan family and friends that act entitled. It is that immigrant who thrusts a knife in a woman's neck that acts entitled.
It is the judge that acts entitled for not pursuing what is just.
The movie shows you swat teams going after the vigilante, but what are they really after? who is the system, the cult of obedience to orders based on managerial prioritization really after?
How many did he kill in relation to immigrant crime?
In essence, right there in your 2nd line, you are demonstrating to be inflamed by a virus, a mind virus of woke ideology by misapplying what entitlement actually means and building your case on meaninglessness.
As far for the plot holes: typically Uwe Boll. He leaves it on purpose, where you go: wait a moment, is there bias here? And he achieves his aim, you noticed, but did not yet follow through on its meaning. It is occulted to you because you base your view on a bad language.
Arm & Hammer...

The moar you be knowin 🌈 an sheit 💩
True Hollyweirdo!
Good point. Commies. What we see is the government system fostering anarchy. The people demand justice. They demand the government stop the anarchy. The anarchy results in vigilante justice. Vigilante justice results in the government instituting tyranny. Which is the commie goal all along.
I kinda guessed what the point was from the title, but reading your summary I dont think I understand what the point it was trying to make!
The point was about how foreigners come into Europe and commit crimes and those crimes go unpunished.
He said how he has to kill the bad guys because the citizens won't do it.
But in the movie he kills more innocent citizens than bad guys.
Ah I see. This is very typical pattern in movies that I call "weaponised disclosure" where they purport to disclose some redpill (like foreigners committing crimes) but distort it in a way to smear the wrong people (Instead of muslims or blacks or Indians or pakistanis they pick an American as a "foreigner").
So you cant say "Media doesnt talk about foreigners committing crimes" because when you say that someone will say "But this movie does exactly that".
This is why the movie feels so confusing - that is the purpose of whoever is behind this movie's symbolism, but in reality since more and more people are waking up, people will fill in the blanks themselves.
I haven’t watched it, but these citizens you mentioned, were they Europeans or people who hold a piece of paper?
White Europeans.
Bad production & shitty acting, it should've be censored for that alone. It reminded me of a crappier version of Michael Douglas in Falling Down.
It‘s the first Boll movie I actually want to watch. I know that it‘s objectively bad (hey, it‘s a boll movie), but I think - even after all the psychopathy and all - it‘s an important movie.
It is a warning. It is a wake up call. And it does - after all - depict what is happening (invasion through immigration, two tieres „justice“ system, incompatibility of certain cultures with western society) to a broader audience, thanks to the streisand effect.
About „warning“: it‘s a warning to the cabal, to the spineless politicians, to the invaders: more and more people are starting to wake up, and there will be a point where they won‘t be able to walk the streets.
Considering the invaders: I‘ve read a few times on X: remigration is the moderate option.
All in all: terrible execution (pun intended), but an important movie (and [censorship-] controversy) at a good moment.
Edit: I don‘t think Boll is part of the Hollywood machine. Au contraire, he‘s regularly belittled and ostracised for his shitty movies by the „expert critics“ guild.
And Armie Hammer: I don‘t know exactly what the controversy around him was, but his „official“ hollyweird career abruptly ended, basically putting him out of hollyweird-offers, making him a black sheep in hollyweird. Which I actually consider a good thing, as we all know what the hollyweird machinery is set up to do.
Yeah they do that so that way nobody relates to the person / message too much and getting the wrong idea. That’s why some famous characters, like The Punisher or Joker, who are symbolic of societies dysfunction, go on killing sprees where innocent people needlessly suffer or have weird unhinged moments.
“Yeah they were right about literally everything.. but the person said/did X, Y & Z and that’s cringe bro”
Sounds somewhat like that old Charles Bronson series "Death Wish" and its sequels. Only from your description the protagonist doesn't seem to have a motive like the Bronson character did.
It's Uwe Boll/
Agreed.
I need to watch it. I captured the X post on my bookmarks. I did see a fragment sample; the ride on the bus, where he confronts the bullies. He has a totally convincing neutral seriousness on his face. I later realized it made me think of Christopher Lambert in similar roles: no overt emotion, but a sense of intense ruthlessness. Armie Hammer is an underappreciated actor (priceless in Gore Verbinski's 2013 "The Lone Ranger").
This discussion pricks my curiosity. It makes him sound like a very tightly-wound loose cannon.
I watched it too. Totally agree with your assessment. Dude was a entitled psycho. The changing lanes thing was fully insane. The special effects were shit, the gore was absurd. It seemed intentionally bad in places. Reference to the number 17.
Sketchy all around.
Guessing armie isn’t really a great actor and it shines through anyway😀. Kudos to casting - they picked the perfect person😀. Oh - didn’t watch it but apparently gratuitous sex too - armie IS ‘the guy’ for this role 😀😀😀😩😩😩😩
I agree. It makes us look terrible. I reposted it on another site and then started watching it and immediately removed it. Not what I'm trying to promote at all.
With how [they] run the movie industry I'm not really surprised.
This was the German made movie that was banned in Germany so people started putting it on thumb drives and attaching them to balloons to go into Germany and the filmmaker put it up for free for 48 hours and Elon Musk shared the stream.
[they] weren't involved. If they were it probably would not have been banned.
Not worth watching. Reverse propaganda. A sycopath killer.
A very bleak movie, the acting was not good, there were great holes in the plot, why didn't the vigilante wear gloves, not even when he was killing a judge?
I like how he injected the judge with heroin and mentions they're going to find it in his system but then he opens a bottle of alcohol and spills it on him. Then puts the cap on and puts the bottle on the ground out of the judge's reach. Like they're going to detect heroin in his system but ignore that he had no alcohol in his system.
It's like a high school film project.
I don't what you were expecting from Uwe Boll. He's cranked out more turds than any other director alive. That being said, don't dismiss for one second that this could be the work of the enemy.
To be honest I have never heard of Uwe Boll before this.
He was most active in the late 90's to early 2000's making the worst video game adaptation movies imaginable. He was last in the news about 10 years ago boxing in celebrity matches against film critics. Not a talented guy.
"Not a talented guy."
I agree.
But he's doing it. I'll take inspiration from that. If he can do it why can't I? Why can't you?I It doesn't have to be amazing. It just has to be done. I'm inspired and I'm going to do something with my minimal talent. For better or for worse.
The movie and its story are completely irrelevant. This is solely about its de facto ban in Germany. Our system is reacting in increasingly irrational ways. In the U.S., the discussion centers mainly on the suppression of free speech; here, once the Streisand effect gains momentum, the question will be why our rulers are so desperate to resort to totalitarian measures to suppress the covering of brutal alien crime.
This week, a “new” report on the neo-Nazi AfD—hailed by the establishment parties—was presented before the Federal Press Conference, comparable to the White House press corps. It was compiled by a radical left-wing NGO funded by Soros and German taxpayer money.
Brace yourselves for even worse news from Germany.
Reading comments and assessments, it is painting a picture, for me anyway, that this movie is an intentional black-white “chessboard” to keep us all occupied - maybe sucessfully…..
I certainly don’t / won’t claim to be above it all. However, it (the movie) seems to successfully divide opinions at that my frens is ‘masonic majik’!!!!😀.
It's good that he kills Europeans too coz then they can't call the movie racist.
