CVS I've been getting my prescriptions from set me a message about two months ago that it was shutting down I moved to a different CVS close by but when I picked it up one of the pharmacists that was there - a lady from India - when I asked her she said this:
Yes they didnt even tell us. They made all this money from the pfizer shots and now that they arent anymore they are closing down.
I dont even think they started the international screenings yet I think they start next week and if it does half as good internationally as it did here in the US - there will definitely be a lot of people talking about it. The chatter about the film has died down here at least at work about the film so I believe its done as great as it could with little to no marketing budget and the push back its received from the MSM and Hollywood domestically speaking.
What will be interesting is to see how media outlets in other country treat the film? Will it be the same as here? Worse? better?
What's encouraging to see is that despite the massive release of Barbie and Oppenhiemer that SoF somehow increased the number of screens it was being shown in by 20. Small number but I expected it to go down with those two movies coming out this week.
Even though Barbie made a massive 155M this weekend I expect that to drop heavily but the steady per screen average by SoF about a month in is very impressive.
Convinced a co-worker to go see it with his wife after I kept talking about it during our daily afternoon walk outside. Waiting to see what his thoughts will be.
I think there will be a drop in revenue this weekend because of the Barbie and Oppenheimer films but I believe this is one of those movies that will continue to have a steady stream of people seeing it at least for another four weeks. The number of screens will come down of course, but the per screen revenue I expect to not have the same staggering percentage drops we have been accustomed to seeing for the majority of the major hollywood releases.
Once the movie is available to purchase physically or online - significantly more people, especially those around the world will keep having their eyes opened.
Besides the overall gross surpassing far more than I thought but what's really encouraging is that this past weekend it was screened in just over 3.2k screens nationwide. This is up from 2.6k from its debut and not just that the average money per screen also increased. So the result of the additional gross isn't just more screens but that more people are going to those additional viewings.
They're grasping - mocking a movie that has been bombed with negative reviews from all of the MSM and only dependent on viral marketing/word of mouth.
This movie is as independent as they come without the marketing budget these other films have. The fact that its made so much money so far its a huge sign that word of mouth for any movie as long as its good (and good can be subjective) will succeed.
This movie may not even cross the 100M mark and the MSM will run with that to show it "bombed" but if it does cross the 100M I would love to see what excuse they'll come up with then

Government and universities love Twitter to develop their AI censorship models because it's not private like other social media accounts where you need to friend someone to see their posts etc. Sure some accounts are set to private but majority of Twitter is public.
But making it so you have to log in like other social media and rate limiting you will see a ton of AI models disrupted since they would scrap literally millions of tweets daily and now that has been compromised.
He mentioned to expect a large cry from universities and government how rate limiting is an attack on democracy, but also didn't rule out that this could be a cynical plan by Musk to force more people into subscribing to Twitter blue.
I do believe this will have a huge impact on the AI LLMs and censorship given how open Twitter was. What I am worried about is if this goes on for too long people will jump ship to an alternative that is DS controlled and it will be worse than Twitter 1.0 was.
I like the logging in to see any public profile which should help identify bots/scrapers but the rate limit should hopefully be lifted in the next 48 hours.
This along with reddit API charge may actually force people off some of these sites which imo is a good but a great thing.
What's weird is this set has been out for a while now.
What was a bit more alarming to me was about two years ago lego went through a design change. Any sets meant for 18+ audience was designed to have a black background on the box with a certain font etc. To was to make it stand out as more collection/show pieces vs sets meant for playing.
They all followed this regardless of what lego line they were in except the Queer Eye set. That was 18+ but still kept the old white design.
Like parents could easily be fooled by this and to me it's seemed like a conscience decision by Lego to not have the same box design as all their other 18+ sets.

The one thing I will say over the last two years though there seems to be a lot more celebrity deaths that involve cancer than anything else. Like the "we didnt know they were living with cancer"
Havent filed yet - but a few people at work said they received their refund - I think the first drop was on the 17th of this month. Guessing they're doing it in order received. I just need to file before they say well need to print more money to issue refunds.
it was incredible in 2020 - like GOP candidate pretty much won every position they ran for by a decent margin EXCEPT POTUS where Biden barely squeaked by Trump primarily to Mail in ballots.
Every state was fucked - needs to be a deep clean imo of every state regardless of how red or blue it is.
I have no idea how this was even allowed in the first place. Congress members were "elected" to represent their constituencies and voting on bills is by far one of their biggest tasks and they cant even bothered to do that in person?
Honestly if a member doesnt show up to vote for more than 3 bills - they should be censured and no longer be allowed to vote on any bills or part of any committees.
