We don't have an HOA, but an "improvement association". They have an old cabin that is the "community center", and I call it their club house. They kicked out all the good people who gave a crap about the community, and got all their cronies voted in. The good people were doing things for the community, these people don't like anyone that tells them they are violating laws or mismanaging funds. We still have one good man on the board, but I believe he is being replaced this election. They have their people run and then use donations to help get them elected. It's ridiculous. HOAs and "improvement associations" can go to hell. You own your home, you decide what you can do with it. End of story.
