At a time when the world should be pushing for more nuclear power, Germany makes the idiotic decision to phase out nuclear in favour of renewables.... They lost their cheap, clean nuclear electricity. In combination of shutting down their baseload nuclear and coal, they went changed from being a net energy EXPORTER for two decades, to a net energy IMPORTER in 2019. An absolute tradegy for the one of Europe's greatest industrial powerhouses, a situation where the beaureaucratic elite really do not have the interests of the people in mind.
