I know a lot of people get nervous about anything that looks handout-ish… But people have been unfairly fucked with by the federal government on a scale and with severity most people don’t fully grasp during Biden’s administration. Trump knows this and has demonstrated over and over that he actually cares about people’s lives being up ended. He probably knows the $2k isn’t even proper “compensation” for the evils we were subjected to. Plus elections are coming. Good things coming later is hard, people are voting based on if they are able to function right now.
The tariff money is a rare chance to help without creating new debt.

About a hour away there’s a small town in NC… The census says that the area is majority white, with African-American as the secondary most represented group there. But anyone can see that both white and black are minorities compared to who actually lives here now. No one can afford housing either. You can go buy real estate a mile from the coast for about the same prices.

This was going on during the same years that it took five years for my bestie to get on SSDI while bedbound. She had tons of documentation too, it really was just unfair bs.

Idk how she lived or what she believed before that. But when she saw signs of the average person being harmed medically she stepped up.
She also encourages people to work hard. It can be hard to see now, but she was an innovator within her industry. It’s just that lot of people copycatted and the practices became standard.
If you want another “unlikely voice for sanity”, Jeffree Star. He also was an innovator that had a lot of what he has done become industry norms. And he’s an odd guy, but he tells people that trans delusions are dangerous, is pro gun, etc.
