Just experienced DOA coming into my area - purchasing the balance of existing contracts from farmers for eggs, poultry and swine. The DOA reps stayed at the farms and would not pay until all of the product (live animals, plus any eggs already packaged and ready for stores) were buried in large pits on the properties and recorded by DOA as proof.
Dad grew up on a farm, even back in the 60's the feds had strict crop size requirements to ensure baseline price in the market
the fed found his dad had corn on 3/10's of an acre that was overage according to them, waited while my dad got on his tractor and razed it, wouldn't even allow for it to be fed to cattle, only totally destroyed
My mom told me once that you can't just do whatever you want anymore (I tell her these sorts of things too, F them do it anyway, about terraces and other things) because the NEIGHBORS will rat you out for not following rules. And then DOA comes knocking. Amerika has come to Rural Areas too.
Actually, terraces are pretty good idea because they conserve the precious topsoil. Our nearby lake used to be really deep years before farming started up bigtime in the area. It filled with silt and is now shallow from the runoff that came from the fields before they started terracing.
My grandpa made lots of bank when Iowa started requiring them, he got a tiler and loader, went and built them himself, and then contracted out to build for others, to code. They are a bit of a pain to put in and maintain, but I agree they are a good thing overall. I just don't like being told what to do :)
If the farmers agree to this, they should be charged with whatever crimes the DOA is committing. End of story, there won't be allowances for ignorance.
It's already here. Between the farm "subsidies," and the shipping "problem," things will get real interesting here in about another 2 weeks. Talk to anyone in shipping/logistics or who manages a store of any size, and they'll tell you about these shortages and shipping "issues."
Also, I talked with a local farmer near me recently. He's been offered 130% over what his usual crop selling price is to destroy his crops and cattle. He hasn't taken it yet, as he sells mainly to local stores so doesn't have the issue of rotting crops or "old" cattle yet, but admitted that it was extremely hard to sell it all, mainly due to the shipping/logistics "shortages." Finding drivers to transport his loads has been the biggest issue for him.
I suspect that with COVID and the lockdowns and "stimulus" payments, there were drivers that decided to take this time to take a break from the road. That's when the backlogs started. And now with rising fuel costs, a lot of independent single truck owners have been forced out causing a driver "shortage." ALL of the trucking companies are hiring, but no one wants to be out on the road for 5 or more days a week, especially the drivers with families. Especially since they now have to prove to various State run DOT's that they've been "vaxxed" for interstate commerce travel.
Remember, FL is one of the largest food producers in the country, second in cattle only to TX. We produce a lot of construction materials, Defense hardware and munitions, paper products, plants, fuel/natural gas, etc. And now there's States like MI, CA, NY, NJ CT that are saying Floridians can't travel to those States without being "vaxxed." When you keep a State like FL from being able to deliver it's goods, shortages are bound to pop up.
None of the current shortages are natural. It's all planned to starve us out eventually. [they] know [they] can't keep us in line any other way now. I also expect another round of "COVID" "stimulus" checks to go out soon, with the catch being that if you want the money, you'll need to show proof of "vaccination." Then, [they]'ll have even more info on the People and know exactly who is "vaxxed" and who isn't. It'll make the roundups and shipments to these FEMA "camps" a lot easier for [them] to figure out.
Then, once the bread lines start, it'll be that much easier for [them] to starve out the "undesirables" like us. This is now the easiest and possibly the only way for [them] to keep the population in line.
My daughters fiancé is a long range truck driver (she goes along with him in the truck). He said his company wanted him to get the vaxx, but has not gotten it, so I don’t think it’s mandatory “yet”. He doesn’t want to get it either, they are considering him getting a local trucking job and staying here at home being companies are hiring here. Yesterday they had an issue with his highway toll pass and it wouldn’t pay the tolls to get to where he had to go with his load. So they had to pay out of their pocket just to get the load to a company. Which then left them without money till company either payed them back or till payday. After dropping off the load they had to sit and wait till the company fixed their toll pass or they couldn’t keep driving, meaning he was loosing out on loads. He gets paid by the load and how far it has to go I guess.
Have to watch out with those subsidies. Strings are attached. They are like contracts and if terms are violated then they'll pull the plug.
There is so much waste in the Government. They'll give out a subsidy for X tonnage and any extra is essentially waste. Farms can't even give it away because it's not theirs to give.
Some of these mega farms can only survive on subsidies as they are in so much debt. So they are left with a decision to at least keep living and farming on their generational family farm or go bankrupt and leave to let a stranger take over.
Probably going to have put an electric fence around your garden so no steals from your garden & chickens. May I ask why you didn’t put the garden in your backyard so no one sees what you have?
I've been thinking that systems to keep your garden immune to theft will become a large market. I'm not sure how it would be done, but any garden known to the neighborhood would be raided on a regular basis as soon as shortages kicked in. Electric fence? Large dogs? Motion detectors? Lasers? Dog mounted lasers?
Visit your local Farmer's Market to help them "dispose" of their products. We buy the best quality fresh fruits and vegetables there. If there is not one nearby, MOVE or you will statve when TSHTF.
Any proof of this? Maybe like the letter from multiple farmers? Government agency which sent the letters confirming? Anything, other than this video on tiktok?
This is why I'm having a hard time taking these warnings seriously. Every rumor I've heard about farmers destroying crops is based on some sketchy video or blog post. Not that I trust the corporate media to ever report on something like this, but if the crop destruction was as widespread as claimed, then surely there must be more evidence out there than the same viral videos posted by some randoms.
That said, it's good advice in general to stock up on food and supplies for emergencies. We all saw the empty grocery shelves last March.
The feds have paid farmers not to plant to artificially raise prices for a long time. They supposedly do it in an effort to keep farmers in business for national security. This is nothing new. There are a lot of subsidies in growing corn. They keep a lot of farmers in business with subsidies and the big ones can make a lot of money. The USDA needs its budget severely cut, especially since the majority of it goes to food stamps.
I haven’t heard about being paid to destroy crops but I’ve never raised corn or known anyone that has. I don’t believe the part about prices being $0.35 lower because you won’t sell to the feds. That’s not how this works.
It takes longer to end a food shortage than create one. Much longer than the 3 weeks it takes for a previously well fed person to die from starvation. Think of all the things they will do to their fellow men to try and avert that end.
My husband talks to farmers all day every day and this is outrageous. I'm gonna ask him what he's heard of this. He also deals with truckers and rail cars delivering fertilizer.
There's no way this is actually real. That is so blatantly illegal, cartoonishly evil, it almost borders on parody. Bogging up logistics and shipping fleets I can understand, but going straight to the farmers (who are 99.9% God-fearing, Trump-loving Patriots) and offering meagre returns to starve off not only the American people but all of our export countries? Fuck OFF.
$10 seems about average for soybeans. I think corn was near $7.25 in about 2008 when the ethanol crap got going. I don’t raise either so I’m not up to date on prices but neither seems unusual. The prices fluctuate a lot based on world wide supply and demand. I’m too lazy right now to look it up and post a link.
ETA: My uncle has been farming for 60 years and I’ve never heard him mention anything like that. The closest I can think of is when it is damaged due to weather or something and insurance pays you.
GA farmer. The govt is out of control. I heard that they lost the lawsuit which gave money to blacks, Indians, and others excluding white farmers.
Anybody know?
My ex just said (Miss know it all) “My Uncle farmed and DoA has been doing this for years”. She’s correct to a degree. I just said I don’t GAF what used to happen, I only care about our future. So I then reached-out to my farmer buddy awaiting reply. He won’t even comment on GMO crops tho; fairly selfish...
good source for non-gmo seeds, lotta heirloom, still have available in small/large quantities, and will ship small or large orders: willhiteseed.com, locally owned, longtime family business, very trusted source around north Texas...good luck!
Just so you know, the advertising as non GMO is a gimmick for most, if not all vegetables. You know ketchup that says non GMO? There are no GMO tomatoes. Field corn (not the same as the sweet corn people eat) and soybeans are the two where you run into GMOs.
If there were surpluses and those guys were benevolent caring people, they would use that money to pay the farmers for those crops and get them to the plentiful numbers of starving people in the world.
Well I know here in ND they're giving farmers money to plow up land where crops died because of the drought.
One mentioned receiving his fildbut I'm guessing with something like alfalfa for hay since it's pretty much too late for anything else.
They don't have to do anything to create a food shortage the drought here is doing that on its own. We are finally getting some rain but it's too late for anything real this year. I know a farmers that have sold off their cattle because they couldn't feed them.
I am not making this up I live in the middle of North Dakota seeing the drop firsthand and it isn't from mismanagement of the land. Or the water resources unlike California.
If the farmers are smart, they'll take the gov't money, then turn around and sell their crops anyway. I wouldn't have any problem with this.

Pics or lies

Gotta kill the Kulaks. It's SOP.
Underrated comment.
Holodomor II.

Will the "movie" be over before this occurs? Or must it get 99% installed before it crashes and gets uninstalled?
Amazing but true if he pays more he can get trucks
My neighbors think im crazy because i turned my entire front yard into a garden and am raising 30 chickens this year. They'll thank me later.
Or one day you'll walk outside and see the ripe greens missing and 5 chickens gone...
More than likely this.
The neighbors will bring 30 cows, eat all the chickens, and then say, "28 chickens, how may didn't?"
10!
Probably going to have put an electric fence around your garden so no steals from your garden & chickens. May I ask why you didn’t put the garden in your backyard so no one sees what you have?
Sunlight issue. My barn blocks a lot of light in the back. But i still have beans and squash out back :-)

In Mexico you don’t eat your own chicken for dinner you take your neighbors chicken.

Oh I knew it was coming.... Time to learn how to garden and can food pedes! It's not terribly hard, just takes a little effort
Been doing this for 40 years and I still don’t feel prepared. Hope this movie ends soon.
Any proof of this? Maybe like the letter from multiple farmers? Government agency which sent the letters confirming? Anything, other than this video on tiktok?
My proof is this is what commies always do. Starve you into submission.
Yeah, same playbook, different century.
In other words - no. No evidence. Trust me bro...
Go do your own research if you don't believe it, etc.
(predicting a lot of down votes by the teams of shills).

Where is everyone else asking for proof? Wth is going on around here

Starting my own farm. Fuck these people

Uh has anyone looked at the grain market lately
All I know is I’m in rural north Texas and the farmers are cutting wheat right now.
no why do you ask?
Soybeans, averaging $5/bushel over last year, from about 9 to about 14.
Corn $3.50 last year, about $5 now, up to over $7.25 at one point, an all time high iirc.
We don't eat the corn either. They both end up feeding animals we do eat.
watermelons seem to be about a buck more this year, even at costco.
$10 seems about average for soybeans. I think corn was near $7.25 in about 2008 when the ethanol crap got going. I don’t raise either so I’m not up to date on prices but neither seems unusual. Damn. Thanks for the info fren
What he said is not quite accurate. Prices fluctuate wildly due to weather and demand around the world.
Corn: https://www.macrotrends.net/2532/corn-prices-historical-chart-data
Soybeans: https://www.macrotrends.net/2531/soybean-prices-historical-chart-data
Go on...

Trying to starve us when the blackouts hit, huh?
Why post fake news here?
If this is true, Patriots are definitely NOT in control and we really are fucked.
"eat the weeds" Look it up and learn it frens! Your welcome.

They've done this for decades. Price support and subsidies
It would really help if someone posted a scanned copy of that letter because I don't see one anywhere which makes the claim suspicious.

Same with gluten free I laugh when I see gluten free on beer jerky.
“All Natural” is another one that’s a joke. It has no standard whatsoever.
If there were surpluses and those guys were benevolent caring people, they would use that money to pay the farmers for those crops and get them to the plentiful numbers of starving people in the world.
They'll time this up with Trump being reinstated and blame him.

Only problem is food takes time to grow. We're eating grain now that was planted last fall.
Thank you for the link. I have been searching for a place to get heirloom seeds.
I hear ya! I do not have a green thumb like my mom had, but I am always willing to try.
