There’s so much hopium and so much let down I feel like I’ve been in a drunken abusive relationship.

It's easier if you look at the hopium as a happy possibility that might occur, don't start expecting it, and wait to believe it when you see it.

yeeeeehaaaaaaw!

1
gobby 1 point ago +1 / -0

Would you mind explaining this? Has any useful info come out yet? I am lost. Thanks.

2
CKE2019 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm no authority on blockchain. What I understand is that he set up a release of info via the ETH blockchain (which cannot be stopped). He supposedly has over 30 TB of data which would have to basically trickle. It looks like data is coming out but not sure where it's going. Waiting for it to coagulate and surface.

2
gobby 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you. I mean, if it started when he 'committed suicide' then you'd think a fair amount of significant info would have hit the net by now. Just wondering when we get the good stuff. Thanks.

1
VaxIsGreatReset 1 point ago +1 / -0

The count down started once he stopped updating that he was alive. This could be done many ways, but he controlled it. When he stopped controlling it the switch went active.

The 31TB is going to have to be downloaded and then unencrypted\uncompressed. This would take a large "RAID" of hard drives. RAID is an array of hard drives that work together to act as one. There are different levels of RAID for different purposes. You could use the cloud as well.

John McAffee was no fan of this worlds governments. He was working on a way to circumvent Income Tax. Which is how most of the governments steal from their citizens. This is why he was killed more than likely.

A Private Crypto Coin with a Decentralized Exchange. Take one Exchange down and 15 more pop up to combat the attack.

28
FreshFriggy 28 points ago +28 / -0

There is an ethereum wallet that came out of being dormant when McAfees death was announced and it's been sending out $whackd tokens non stop for a month. It's believed that whatever McAfee had was put on the block chain, which can never be deleted.

5
numina18 5 points ago +5 / -0

I like it! But sorry he was killed. If he was, which I hope is false.

1
deleteme1234 1 point ago +1 / -0

ETH's Blockchain isn't terrabyte-sized (yet), so it is unlikely to host the allegedly huge McAfee dump. Data is possibly elsewhere.

2
FondueFerret 2 points ago +3 / -1

Agreed. And I'm not dooming but his weeks long countdown amounted to nothing and now there's a new countdown. I'll believe it when I see it.

2
ultra_star 2 points ago +3 / -1

It's a calculated ploy to create a bubble around the price of Whackd Tokens. The people who are running the countdown are using it to temporarily inflate the price so they can sell what is otherwise a worthless crypto that is prone to scamming.

It it has been sending out data since his “death” why haven’t we seen any? I’m not being sarcastic - genuine question

19
CokeOrPepe 19 points ago +20 / -1

It's being 'uploaded' in chunks. Kind of like a zip file that is split up into 'dvd' size chunks. Not until you have every single file can you unzip it. 31TB is an awful lot of data. My computer only has a 1 TB hard drive and it's only 20% full. 31 Terabytes is 31,000,000,000,000 bytes of data. One dual-layer DVD is about 7,000,000,000 bytes. We're talking over 4,400 DVD's worth of data

9
Megadeth 9 points ago +10 / -1

It would be pretty damn stupid to release everything in one giant 31TB file w/o parity files to recover from bit errors and other corrupted data.

2
mmtwo 2 points ago +2 / -0

thanks for breaking it down fren

7
ravonaf 7 points ago +7 / -0

Spreading the encrypted data out, maybe, with the eventual release of a key. Wikileaks had something similar. An encrypted file that was spread far and wide. The release of the encryption key was the dead man's switch. I'm not sure if anything ever came of that.

I hope, but I e seen a lot of his interviews and tweets. Never heard him talk about Jesus. Maybe it was a private thing though.

Uh....no. His private thing was prostitutes and using drugs, not being devoted to Jesus.

Jesus hung with prostitutes too and was (probably) tripping on amineta mushrooms.

0
ultra_star 0 points ago +1 / -1

Yeah. That's a pretty strong conclusion based on scientific evidence. Can't argue with that. You've got the proof right down to the specific mycological genus of fungi.

Wow.

Course you didn't spell "Amanita" correctly, but that hardly proves that you are less than incredibly well-informed.

1
ABrainDisease 1 point ago +1 / -0

Christians....no sense of humor....

1
ultra_star 1 point ago +1 / -0

My apologies. I didn't realize that was your "comedy routine". I thought you were just ignorant, but now I see that it was edgy, subversive humor! When you finish your tight five on Jesus doing drugs, be sure to post the link to it. Can't wait.

I program ethereum and blockchain for a living. There is ZERO possibility of moving a terabyte across the ethereum blockchain. It would cost multiple billions of dollars and would take tens of years.

1
ShowMeWin 1 point ago +1 / -0

You know people who are buying this token? I suppose in theory there are gamblers that would buy anything they felt might increase, but do you know anyone doing that?

I don't think the plan is to bury one's head in the sand and hope for the best. Kudos to the research anons.

1
ultra_star 1 point ago +1 / -0

I should be clearer. In addition to Whackd Token rising itself, there are multiple false ERC20s that use the same name. Individuals who issue the copycat tokens are able to profit from this situation in addition to those who are profiting off a temporary rise in actual Whackd Token trading. It is likely that the low cost countdown clock scam is benefiting those who sell copycats the most as there is a demonstrable rush of ill informed consumers diving into this market. I imagine that he profits are modest but not negligible.

2
sillBag 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agree. It's just a scam ploy.

Someone seemed to be trying to shut down the new yesterday. A bunch of websites went down. When they came up, others seemed to go down.

-3
ultra_star -3 points ago +2 / -5

Keanu says "Whoa."

That's intense, man. You had trouble looking at several websites yesterday?

Was it...was it....was it THE STORM?????

1
Unsilent 1 point ago +2 / -1

Nah, it was your mom having next with both next door neighbors while your dad filmed and provided fluffier services. I wasn’t going to tell you, but since your brought it up...

-2
ultra_star -2 points ago +1 / -3

Yep. You definitely proved "someone" was trying to shut down the internet yesterday.

Good work, autist. Your Researcher of the Year award is in the mail.

Keep making anons look good out there, son!

3
Unsilent 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh, I was t trying to prove anything to you. I don’t give a fuck what you think.

But since you are so desperate have an article titled “ Internet outage shuts down travel, banking sites and many others, plus online services including PlayStation Network”

https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2021/07/22/playstation-network-banks-and-travel-sites-shut-down-net-outage/8056664002/

-3
ultra_star -3 points ago +1 / -4

It kinda seems like you ARE trying to prove something to me....like tryna use a USA Today article about Akamai going down faster than your daddy on a baby's dick to "prove" that you were right that "someone" was tryna take down the whole interwebs.

I like it when you want my approval. It's kewt.

1
Unsilent 1 point ago +1 / -0

You really are gay arent you? Well, each to his own. Happy belated pride to you. I hope that works out for you.

-2
ultra_star -2 points ago +1 / -3

This is my fault. I gave you some approval and you thought I was asking you to touch my private things. I should have known you'd take it that way since you "take it that way".

I love you. But not like that. But your mom and I are still proud of you, boy.

4
bubble_bursts 4 points ago +4 / -0

Its the token called WHACKD.

I am not sure how 31TB of data is being transmitted.

There are currently 29,707 token holders, each with their own unique hash which is 20 bytes long.

There are also currently 158,619 transactions, each with its own unique hash which is 32 bytes long. Each transaction also has a timestamp which can be 8 bytes long.

One logical place arbitrary data can be stored is by adding it as "private data" for each transaction. (Like reference number when making bank transfers). But I checked a few transactions, and none of them have anything added in this field.

So we are looking at 594,140 bytes of data potentially encoded as part of being a token holder and 6,344,760 bytes of data potentially encoded as part of a transaction.

I fail to see how 31TB of data can be encoded in this. Also, I dont think these hashes can be controlled - I believe they are calculated as part of an algorithm - so I am not sure you can encode arbitrary data as part of these hashes.

The best I can think is these hashes are keys to the data which is stored elsewhere. But that beats the purpose of storing everything in the block chain.

My best guess? 31 TB was a false figure to throw us off. The real data is only a few MB and contains the most explosive info - and pointer to the rest.

2
bubble_bursts 2 points ago +2 / -0

Okay - just found something else.

The best I can think is these hashes are keys to the data which is stored elsewhere.

It's always "there's gonna be info".

It's never "here's the info".

This info started to be promoted June 27. Today is July 24. It's been almost a month.

If there hasn't been an update in a month, there won't be one.

i think there is... was watching that crypto jesus live stream from last night and they were checking it.

they went into the live stream thinking it was all bullshit and by the end of it they were hyped up because they found all sorts of hidden shit in the web pages.

it's all way over my head... but watching people who know wtf they are doing stumble onto some cryptic keys and hidden links was fun to watch.

excited to see what comes from this because it looks like this is just the start of something crazy.

either the most elaborate hoax ever or the real deal and would explain why everything was crashing yesterday, they've been trying to shut it down but they can't.
