Next to capitalism you need preachers and mothers and fathers and neighbors preaching the Word, and individuals who have turned their hearts and minds over to God, and a solid determination to make something amazing despite the hardships of the world.

No, I don’t need to test. It’s allergies. I’ve had them for 44 years. You see that yellow stuff out there? It’s called ragweed and my body thinks it’s poison so it tries to kill me by making me cough and makes my nose run and my eyes swell shut. In addition to the normal pollen allergies, it makes this time of year miserable. Every. Year. 44 times now. I promise it’s allergies.
And surprise!! There’s a genetic component! My grandfather had the same thing and took shots for it. My kids have it. We all take 3 different kinds of meds this time of year, and eat local, raw honey - which actually seems to help some if anyone else suffers too. And saline rinses and eye drops.
They still have a runny nose and itchy eyes. If I kept them home when they had “a symptom” I would keep them home the last week of August and the entire month of September! And then I’d go to jail because they’re not in school.
Sorry for the rant. All this COVID BS is getting to me. Allergies make us miserable enough, but the pressure to get tested and the calls from the nurse are pissing me off. It’s stupid. 44 years of the same symptoms at the same time, but it’s suddenly COVID?
I hear ya fren! It’s getting absurd. The numbers in GA that have skyrocketed are 0-17(back in schools, sniffles, parents take and test positive, keeps the grift going) and 30-59(kids bring cold home test kids test parents again keeps the grift going) but that’s a massive age range to run stats and of course they will be high, no one in the 20s and 60 up are going to get tested. The numbers are dropping already too.
A lot of schools are feeding into it as well by trying to force kids to have a negative test before they can come back to school. Parents at our school have been fighting that, saying that if kids have been quarantined for 10 days and have no symptoms, there is no reason to be tested.
It’s just insanity at this point. Fighting it is getting exhausting, being called a crazy, selfish, uncaring, stupid conspiracy theorist is getting exhausting. But I refuse to give up. This has to end at some point.
