There are a few American Saints, most notably Saint Herman of Alaska, and Saint John Maximovitch of San Francisco. There is also one book written by a monk, whom, although not canonized by the Church, I believe to be a Saint: The Soul After Death, by Fr. Seraphim Rose. I can't recommend this book enough. The Pope is not the vicar of Christ on earth. There is no such thing. Some pope declared this of himself, and that is pride. He was fallen. There are hundreds of bishops in the Orthodox Church, and all are equal before God. There are patriarchs and Metropolitans, but they have no more access to God than any other cleric. We do need pastors to help us understand God and his Word, but we do not elevate others to the kind of place the Pope claims for himself. That's not Christianity. Anyone who struggles for holiness can access God, in many different ways. The most humble is the closest, not the one in a grand palace like the Vatican.

One of the passages i remember clearly is the author interviewed a guy who was in the seminary and the guy wanted to become a priest and he was straight. Not a gay.
This young man said, every night the homosexuals in the seminary were partying late into the morning and having sex. It was loud and made it hard to sleep.
He said, i am being tested by god and must remain faithful and strong. Eventually, this young man could not endure it any longer and left the seminary.

By who? Well, the usual suspects: the masons, the jesuits, the khazarians, all descendants of the pharisees and worshippers of their master, Satan. During the early 1500s, the Protestant Reformation and the Church of England/Episcopal Church further branched off from the Roman Catholic Church to where today we have hundreds if not thousands of 'Christian' denominations. There is however one Church that has been continuing through the centuries in the same form, more or less, in which Jesus, through his Apostles, created it (differences being mostly linguistic): The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church - The Orthodox Church. Notice how the Orthodox Church calls itself CATHOLIC? That is the true meaning of Catholicism. Now, are there bad apples in the Orthodox Church? Yes, for sure. Is there corruption too? Of course, sometimes at the highest levels of the Clergy. But how do I know the Orthodox Church is sill the one true Church of Jesus? Because it continues to produce Saints. There are many examples of modern Orthodox Saints - one can duckduckgo 'modern orthodox saints' or 'mount athos' and there is tons of material if one desired to look deeper. Catholicism may once again find its true roots but only if the Great Awakening succeeds, the Cabal is defeated and the demons are banished forever to the depths of hell. I pray that is in our future.

Yes, I do. They are just as alive as you and I, even after they passed. Totally encourage you to read about the lives of Saints - there's plenty of material online. There are a few American Saints, most notably Saint Herman of Alaska, and Saint John Maximovitch of San Francisco. The relics of Saint John at the Holy Virgin Cathedral in San Francisco are still working wonders - you can read testimonials from people. There is also one book written by a monk, whom, although not canonized by the Church, I believe to be a Saint: The Soul After Death, by Fr. Seraphim Rose. I can't recommend this book enough. Amazon sells it in electronic format. Among the Saints, the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God holds a special place. We should never forget to venerate her and pray to her.

Yes, you are correct, worship of adoration belongs only to God. However, we should show respect to those "who have fought the good fight and finished the race", and ask their intercession before God.

But perhaps this is a new perspective for you to consider or maybe it will help someone else reading it, so here it is: When you start on the path and began praying earnestly, fasting and taking Communion - you will be tried at every step. The demons are waiting and they will wage war against you. They will tempt you and deceive you in every way possible, including giving you false visions of God and Christ. They will put thoughts in your head, thoughts that will scare you and disgust you. They will try you on every single trait of your character, and you will need all the help you can get. Many good souls have been lost on this path, with many succumbing towards the end to the most insidious sin of all - Pride. The Saints, although regular people like you and I once, are titans, because they were able to overcome. But they had the help of Jesus, Virgin Mary and all the other Saints and so any Christian applying himself/herself earnestly to the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles should ask for their help. They will help, all you have to do is ask. The book I pointed above talks about this at great length. BTW, Fr. Seraphim Rose's relics are buried at Platina, CA.
They are alive and can contact humans, although this is pretty rare. Icons are like windows to the saints. We pray to them for help and assistance, and they give it to us. They are in heaven. There is no death, only repose, or a kind of sleep. No one is extinguished, as in Buddhism. The soul lives forever.

Mel falls into the same delusion of most conservative Roman Catholics; that the solution is to return to the traditional beliefs and practices and morals prior to the progressive movements since Vatican II in the 1960s. True restoration actually means reutrning to more of the beliefs and practices of Roman Catholicism prior to the advent of the Renaissance in the 15th- 16th centuries. That's when esoteric Judaism / occultism / humanism / paganism took its most deep seated roots into the thinking and practices of RCC and the Vatican hierarchy. And that was made possible by the previous advent of consolidated power in the Vatican and the assumption of papal primacy in ecclesial as well as social affaris.
Personally I thank God for the Reformation, but for those who wish to continue identifying as Catholics they would do better to look centuries further back to the credal Church that was relatively untainted by the dark worldliness that has ingrained itself in the Catholic establishment ever since, even the "conservative" Catholicism before Vatican II.
