In 2009 Trump hired over 20 PI firms and had them doxing suspicious information and "doing police work for them" meanwhile they refused to ever bring charges. Trump met with the DA and was told "This is coming from high up. This guy is protected by the DOJ."
Trump never let up and sorted out terrible things by talking to victims. he knows a shit ton. By this time He had spoken with AG Acosta and was sickened by what he saw and this was formative in Trump deciding the evil out there was so thick he had to get on the inside to do anything about it. Word around FBI / DOJ / Florida State Police and more was "Epstein is untouchable and protected as an informant."
