Terry Gilliam is the director. He also has adrenochrome in his movie fear and loathing in Las Vegas. Another one of his to watch is Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. It’s all hiding in plain sight.
Very cool, I had to rewatch it to have it be fresh. The article got his last line wrong though, it's "Don't believe everything you read in the newspaper, especially The Mirror" which I thought might be even more poignant than "Don't shoot the messenger"
I had the same feeling before. But gave it another go some years later. It was great. Watch Brazil meanwhile. And before that -- If you haven't already -- see 12 monkeys and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas!
I posted a clip here about 2 weeks ago. It's the Bruce Willis line, "It's not about the virus, it's about following orders. It's doing what you're told."
FUCK Martha Stewart🐸Yes! You're right, those are the best. Fight Club is definitely in my top 5 films. I don't know how many dozens of times I've watched those scenes and still had to enjoy them again. If you haven't yet, the book is worth reading too👌Let me know what you think of 12 Monkeys! That's one of the handful of movies that I saw and had to immediately watch again.
A movie by two trannies who loathe people like you and me started waking you up?
Ok.
I am skeeved out by the obsession with Hollywood among people who should reject that perverse den of shit. For a group of people who claim to never watch Pervywood propaganda we quote and admire their shitty movies constantly.
Every time I hear of a new Covid outbreak, I visualize that final scene of 12 Monkeys. The one in the airport. What the character does is all it takes to spread Covid. That's why masks and lockdowns don't work. It's just some guys opening containers or wiping rags on grocery items.
Maybe it was Rainbow Six. That's the one where global elites team up with big pharma to create a killer virus to depopulate the earth. They were to release it at the Olympics where everyone would take it back to their home countries. Then the vaccines would be a slow release version of the same virus and would kill more.
Yes it was. The Montauk project was mostly about psychic abilities, travel through portals, and object manifestation. If you read into it there appears to be a situation where one of the psychics manifested a beast that started tearing everything up kind of like a demigorgon from Stranger Things.
I thought of this at the beginning of the China virus attack. Since we own it, the whole family sat down and refreshed 12 monkeys. Classic. Once ranch and hcq hit the news Dallas buyers club took a fresh new perspective. Banning helpful treatments while pushing poison is fauxis goto play
I have watched 'Revenge' many many times, Madeline Stowe, Kevin Costner and Anthony Quinn. One of my favorites. Another good one (Kevin Costner also) is 'No Way Out'.
I remember watching that movie when I was in high school but completely forgot what it was about and probably mixed it up with another movie. I know it's about a time traveller who goes back in time to stop a virus or determine it's origin.
For some reason, I thought there was a love plot where the woman character ends up conceiving his child. That child turned out to be him in the future. Though, probably mixing it up with another time travel movie.

Yes. There is a good interview with Terry Gilliam where he even says it’s strange how Heaths death fit the plot of the film.
Sounds juicy, like a sauce on that if available

I come here for news, but stay here for this kind of stuff. Thanks!
SAMESIES
Long article but a good read. https://vigilantcitizen.com/moviesandtv/the-imaginarium-of-doctor-parnassus-and-heath-ledgers-sacrifice/

Brazil is a strange look at the intersection between bureaucracy, surveillance, unnecessary medical procedures, and terrorism.
Ministry of information sir
I tried to watch Dr. Parnassus the other night but I couldn't make it past 20 minutes. I started to feel physically sick.
I had the same feeling before. But gave it another go some years later. It was great. Watch Brazil meanwhile. And before that -- If you haven't already -- see 12 monkeys and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas!
There's more, but start with those...
Gilliam=genius
Brazil is perfection.
Congrats.
You still own your soul.
adrenochrome was in the book.
Lots have to be left out of a book to fit a film into usually under two hours, yet terry left it in.
not really that long a book. most things are in the film.
Yes he is THE director. Also the movie The Zero Theorem by Gilliam has to be watched.
Another movie not by Gilliam that has to be watched in relation to 12 monkeys is Dark City
Also watch BRAIN CANDY!!!

Fuck happy!
Man i used to live kith when i was young.
Chicken lady cracked me up!
Best movie ever!
I'll check it out thanks.

Thanks a lot, I know what I'm doing tonight now
Narf. What are you doing tonight?
Same thing we do every night. Try and stop the deep state from taking over the world
...one is a genius, the other is insane.....
Thanks!

Love this rant too.. https://youtu.be/wcztDZ13TLI

Normies & sheep relate pretty easily to them.
Using a medium that they are enamored by, to show them a path forward, I simply see it as using my enemy's mistakes against them.

What was that Tom Clancy book where they used aerosol cans at car shows? That was disturbing.
Maybe it was Rainbow Six. That's the one where global elites team up with big pharma to create a killer virus to depopulate the earth. They were to release it at the Olympics where everyone would take it back to their home countries. Then the vaccines would be a slow release version of the same virus and would kill more.
That sounds like the one! His early books were good.
Or the tv series...
Its the 'chair' Q speaks of.
Project lookinglass aka the montauk project, or ALICE at CERN
I wish more people knew about Montauk
Isn’t the Stranger Things show on Netflix based on the Montauk project?
Yes it was. The Montauk project was mostly about psychic abilities, travel through portals, and object manifestation. If you read into it there appears to be a situation where one of the psychics manifested a beast that started tearing everything up kind of like a demigorgon from Stranger Things.
Have any fun reading material?
The TV show is errially similar to the events that are happening right now
One of my favorite movies! It's a New Year's tradition to watch.
Funny you said this, as I was driving out of Lowe’s today I was thinking about this movie
This was never about a virus...Its about control.
Show of hands, how many have thought about this movie recently? As if almost out of nowhere it pops into your head?
I thought of this at the beginning of the China virus attack. Since we own it, the whole family sat down and refreshed 12 monkeys. Classic. Once ranch and hcq hit the news Dallas buyers club took a fresh new perspective. Banning helpful treatments while pushing poison is fauxis goto play
I've only seen bits of it on TV as a kid and it looked weird. I'll give it a watch tonight. Going in blind.
Ooooo let us know what you think!
My favorite movie, watch it whenever it on.
It's freakin brilliant.
Fight club was good, but for me 12 Monkeys is the shit. Even watched it in Prague with English subtitles.
Madeline Stowe, yes yes yes
Ever see Revenge?
I have watched 'Revenge' many many times, Madeline Stowe, Kevin Costner and Anthony Quinn. One of my favorites. Another good one (Kevin Costner also) is 'No Way Out'.
It is a documentary.
Is that the movie where the guy ends up being his own father ?
No.
I remember watching that movie when I was in high school but completely forgot what it was about and probably mixed it up with another movie. I know it's about a time traveller who goes back in time to stop a virus or determine it's origin.

Predestination with Ethan Hawk?
Oh wow. I don't recall seeing that movie, but the plot seemed familiar. That must be it. Thanks!
As a child, he witnesses the shooting of his time-traveling adult self. But obviously, doesn’t realize it’s his future self.
SPOILER!🐸
Watch 'The Stand'
Start of the movie they mention the 7th floor.
Monsters Inc is practically spot on with adrenochrome harvesting. Minus the happy ending.
ya, it's time... going to watch with my 14yo boy
Stickyyyyy
It’s an Anglicized and expanded version of the brilliant 1962 French sci-fi short, La Jetee. Still, as a product of American showbiz it’s a standout.
What is the obsession with Hollywood around here? Weird.
great movie have seen it many times.
As a kid this was my favorite movie for some reason
The Movie & TV show are excellent
I used to watch the series
