This has the potential to turn into a conflict defining moment. If he wins this tournament now, it will create an incredible surge of resolve.
If there's anyone who has the mental to do it, it's Djokovic for sure. Might be one of the best Grand Slam wins ever when you consider it also breaks the all time record.

No he hasn't, the family misinterpreted a sudden convergence of police on the law office where Djokovic and his lawyers had just had their video conference call, and tweeted that he was arrested. That would have been in contempt of court, and no major news source has reported that he has been arrested.

Update: Reports are circulating that Novak was arrested, but this was not so. For unclear reasons, the Victoria Police did

The world is watching. They KNOW this was a fuck up on their part trying to make an example of him on the world stage. The Dictatorship in place there is spreading the seeds of their downfall, with red pills aplenty to go round from it.

It's fairly easy to buy a vax pass in Serbia, so I'd say he deserves credit for running this risk.
They gave him a visa, then cancelled it upon his arrival—with no new information. They took his phone (and his ability to contact his lawyers). They confiscated all his possessions, including his wallet. He refused to sign the visa cancellation order, and was detained for three days.
I would submit that this isn't about the rich and famous getting their way. Rather, if they can do this to the world's #1 tennis player, what can they do to you?
There's also a point to be made about whether such treatment would ever be meted out to, say, Roger Federer.
My guess is that someone at the federal level wanted to appear tough to justify the hardship the Australian government has put its people through. They picked Djokovic because he has been fairly adamant about not revealing his vax status. They didn't count on Balkan stubbornness. It bears remembering that Serbia stood up to the entire military might of NATO for almost three months. Djokovic spent those three months training in empty swimming pools. He once said the radiation from the depleted uranium in the bombs might have impacted him positively.
Addendum: FWIW, "conspiracy theorists" in Serbia maintain that this is also related to Djokovic's recent public stance against Rio Tinto, a part-Australian company which wants to dig up the Serbian countryside in search of lithium. Recent protests have made Rio Tinto's position increasingly difficult.

That’s not how law works. There was a dispute. The judge ruled on the dispute. There’s now precedence. It ought to be applied in other disputes. No idea if it will be or not.

I believe this has to do with him coming out against Rio Tinto environment history of disasters in the past and Serbia citizens don’t want the same issues. Rio Tinto is based in Australia and wanting to mine lithium in Serbia. Rio Tintos record is not very good.

I heard about that, but that may have been a case of miscommunication. The sole source is the father, who may have heard about the police "swarming" (https://twitter.com/karenlsweeney/status/1480462157993037824) the office where Djokovic and his lawyers were participating in the hearing. Most news sources have not corroborated any observation that he was arrested which would have been huge news and would elicit a "wtfwhatareyoudoingmate??" for the Australian Government.

Give it some time. From what I hear Novak was not in that particular Audi and it was someone else unrelated driving out of the building. The supporters pepper-sprayed was a direct result of reactionary anger to the tweets that said he was arrested and to the presence of the black Audi that was escorted by police. Later on Novak's supporters calmed down and were seen in a celebratory mood on Federation Square.
Please also keep in mind that Aussie Cossack is based in Sydney and not Melbourne, so his sources are more removed from the location than is ideal.
So far no one has confirmed that he was arrested at all and on the contrary say he wasn't arrested. For some perspective, Real Rukshan at first said Novak was arrested but corrected his statements upon his own investigation of what really happened, and posted the following:

There is still uncertainty because the Federal Government is indeed being vindictive, by keeping the threat of exercising personal power over Novak Djokovic's head, AND not confirming or denying if they'll even use it. That sort of pressure would make anyone nervous, but I trust that Novak will remain strong.
