It's plain to see that this is what they are trying to arrange. They have made it clear that Hilary getting in something they are working toward and this is how they do it. Will still only delay the inevitable though. Hmmmm..wonder why Joe was clutching his Kamala Harris mag yesterday? Maybe the signal was being put out to begin moving these pieces around. I Wonder if Breyer only "found out" today that he was stepping down. Maybe someone was ahem "helping" him to come to that decision.

It's probably the only way to get her out of the way so they can replace Biden with a more competent puppet. She'll still do what she's told on the Court. The only wild card is whether some of the more moderate Dems would break ranks on her confirmation because she's such a hideously offensive creature and putting her on the Court would blow any good will they earned with independents for killing the attempt at federalizing the elections...

Would Sinema vote against just to spite them for what they've done to her over the past few months? The stalking, harassment, backroom threats, and then the formal censure, etc.

It would be an interesting solution. It would remove the political problem of not wanting to either re-run Biden or nominate Harris for the Presidency in 2024, while at the same time giving Harris a respectable way out of office while also getting her reliable liberal vote on SCOTUS.

However, there are a few problems.

  1. Harris as VP is currently a tiebreaker for the Dems, and they've made use of her frequently in that role with the Senate as closely split as it is. Losing her as VP would create legislative problems and give Republicans a lot more power in Congress until she is replaced.

  2. She might be able to cast a tiebreaking vote in her own SCOTUS confirmation in the Senate as the VP, which is obviously problematic.

  3. It would give Republicans a lot of leverage in the fight confirming the new VP, especially if we're heading into mid-terms.

  4. Biden can't actually fire Harris, as she was elected to office alongside him and is subject to the same protection from being fired from office that he is. She would basically need to agree that this is all a good idea and voluntarily resign, which seems counter to her political aspirations at the moment.

Doubtful that it's even remotely viable, but an interesting thought experiement.

Are Democrats really all that hot for Hillary?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 4 ▼
– ARandomOgre 4 points 4 years ago +4 / -0

I am not, no. I likely spent more time arguing against Clinton in 2015-16 than most people here.

I am uncertain what role she’ll play, if any. Biden was almost nobody’s first choice, but no Democrat felt passionately against him, which is why he was nominated. But he isn’t really that exciting, and Clinton is very much tied to his era of Democratic politics, which is more conservative than many Democrats are.

Eventually, the party is going to have to start throwing bones to the more progressive side of the party, though even then it’ll be someone more moderate like Buttigieg or Booker.

I do not predict most of the voters would rally behind a woman who lost to Trump in 2016 because of, in my view, largely her own arrogance and entitlement to the Presidency. Especially since it seems very possible that either Trump or a hand-chosen proxy is going to be on the ballot in 2024, and both Clinton and Biden are more likely to excite the conservatives into voting for Trump than a new candidate would.

We’ll see. A lot of time before then.

They’ll never be able to go more progressive. Progressivism is a young minds ignorance of reality (and economics but that’s another thread). Most people ie.voters, left and right, aren’t commies, they’re freedom loving capitalists.

On a side note, we need a massive purge of the University systems. Infiltrated to the core.

I think it’s part of the purge. I predicted it would be senators retiring next, but I will settle for a Supreme Court justice or two for now.

Calling it now. Senators next. There will be quiet announcements of dem senators no longer running for office. And more judges. Did you see that several of the judges involved with the Flynn debacle have now retired? Including a FISA court judge, which now makes 2 of them involved in FISAgate retiring, along with the DC judge that fucked Flynn over. And now a Supreme Court judge is retiring out the blue, unplanned.

The purge like Saudi Arabia is happening right in front of us. 29 house members. Federal reserve. Silicone valley. Judges. So many retirements. Every day it’s a new retirement.

Where does this end and when does media begin to publicly discuss it? 50 house members? At the rate we are going now, by March there will be 50 house members not running for re-election. What if it gets to 100? When does someone begin to say what the fuck is going on here lol? Has this ever happened before? I’m genuinely curious if there is any historical precedent for this many shotgun retirements.

I want this to be climbing the ladder of corruption. Taking out the smaller fish and slowly working up so when you get to the top, there isn’t a foundation left below.

I’m gonna shit a brick if this number hits 50.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– HairyWBush 3 points 4 years ago +3 / -0

good points, but this isn't a safe position right now if Biden can appoint a new justice.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 4 ▼
– Boozy_McFuckFace 4 points 4 years ago +4 / -0

The whole thing stinks. You could tell by the way he talked in court he was an active judge. He has been enjoying the power, he was all over that recent mandate case. Then overnight he has unplanned retirement. What does that even mean? If he was sick they would say he is medically retiring. And if this was a planned retirement it would have been announced. So it’s unplanned.

It just doesn’t make sense. It’s unusual just like 30 congressmen quitting at once is unusual. What is going on that they aren’t telling us.

These House Dems not running for re-elect see the writing on the wall. They know what's coming for their party. Total implosion!

IMO; many of these corrupt Dems have been interviewed/investigated by military (white hats), special counsel or even US Secret Service. Many are aligned with foreign nations and pad their pockets from Bills like Build Back Better and the money laundering that goes on in these Bills for foreign aid, charities, special programs and covert shell companies.

They get kick-backs and set-up accounts to hide the funds (relatives/their children, off shore bank accounts). They know their Lie, Cheat, Steal days are over! Or they face the consequences.

As far as the court itself is concerned, it does not appear to gain them any advantage. However, as discussed elsewhere, it could be both a distraction from the disaster that is the Democrat Party and to facilitate the movement of chess pieces.

A 4-4 split favoring the Left for appeals making it to SCOTUS, lets the prior decision stand. Their way of stacking the courts for cases in the pipeline perhaps? The Trump Trio have been constitutional duds, so a 4-4 is plausable

Sucks that we’ll get a liberal asshole in the seat, but it’s already occupied by a liberal asshole so not much lost…

They consider him too moderate for what they have planned.

This tells me Dems in the Senate know they will lose seats in the 2022 mid terms! That is why they are pushing Breyer out now!

They push Breyer out now, vote in majority senate to get another progressive Dem SCOTUS in that seat. Otherwise, if Breyer waits to retire Dems will not have the majority come mid term results, which favor Repubs/MAGA candidates.

Dems will not have the majority after the mid terms. The redistricting in the states is going on right as we speak and it is not going well for Dems as the state legislatures vote on these new district lines.

Dems gerrymandering schemes are over and they know it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerrymandering

So now with the Dems playbook exposed on their SCOTUS plans, what will white hats do as a counter-move between now and mid terms to prevent another progressive to the bench? Anyone have and scenarios or answers?

It is a simple majority in Senate for confirmation of a SCOTUS. Simple majority is 51 out of 100 Senators. Will Manchin, Sinema and 2 independents vote in new SCOTUS?

Imagine THIS: Justice Breyer becomes a Patriot when he STANDS UP AGAINST the Cabal and says “NO. I am not going to retire now.” That simple act of non-compliance to “them” could be what SAVES AMERICA — and cause long-anticipated chess moves to crumble. Imagine the impact of Breyer just saying “No” (in spite of the nudging by the White House that LEAKED the idea just to see “how it flies”).

At least it is better than a pillow on your face. You know, until you die. Like Scalia.

Team Obama wanted a SCOTUS appointee before the bottom drops out from under them.

I was expecting Sotomayor to announce her retirement. Was surprised that Breyer was first.

Lets not forget that just a few weeks ago, Kamala met with Hillary to discuss her poor image and how Hillary could help her. I thought I was reading a Babylon Bee headline. I bet this is what they discussed
