He claims that per this Delta rep, they will no longer be mandating masks after March 18! I don't know about y'all, but I really feel like good news is coming!
I like the good news, but i have to say-- after countries and companies pushing so hard to shut everything down and mandate the f*ck out of everything, the sudden lifting of all the authoritarianism just sort of feels suspect. It sort of feels like the shore receding before a Tsunami. Makes me uneasy.

This. We flew from Houston to Montana and back a couple of weeks ago. Other than the recordings telling everyone to mask up, only had one person say anything to us or kids in 8 hours and 4 flights. Everyone, including the people working the flights, is sick of it. You’re in a tin can hurtling through the air at 35,000 feet with 350+ of your closest friends. Whatever anyone has, you’re all gonna get, regardless of useless face diapers. If we all refuse to comply, what the heck can they do about it? Ground the flight and lose more money?
We’re not rude or confrontational about it, because we’re the ones who decided to fly and knew the “rules” beforehand. We just don’t wear them ... unless someone says something, then we roll our eyes and put it on.
I think their balls are proverbially shrinking, no one wants to be that crazy bitch that goes viral. So keep their mouths shut for the most part
Planes don't recirculate cabin air, so you're just as likely to get sick sitting next to someone in the terminal as on the plane, it really depends on proximity. But I think the altitude changes and travel lowers your immunity anyway, not that masks can help that.

As of today Colorado has no vax or mask mandate at state level other than prison, hospitals, and public transportation.

Down in Texas our gov. services were the last to back down. It was weird seeing people getting arrested for refusing to mask up on a metro bus after all of the rentacops were let go that used to man the front doors of all the big box stores.

Honestly I don't think there will be much resistance. If there is resistance at the local or county level, get 10 people together and sue the surety bond that all public officials must have.
Why wait for 6 weeks? If they are going to end it, why not end it in one week? That would give time to come up with statements and verbiage for company communications. But to make people continue wearing masks for 6 weeks after you determine they will not longer be company policy???

Actually, I believe it. I read a while back that Delta CEO reached out to the White House about dropping the mask mandate. Not sure where it went from there. I hope they drop it because it will be a domino for other things. The whole charade is coming to an end, I feel.
It's come to an end in most places around the country. I really feel sorry for people who are still dealing with it all. I refuse to consume content with masked people. The tournament scene kicked back up and the moment I saw commentary masked in red states I closed that shit and unsubbed. These libtard NPCs run everything and will continue to hold onto their mask/vax doctrine and I'm not gonna be there to support them. If more people did this instead of letting it slide because they want that free entertainment the charade would be over much sooner.

Funny. We used to cruise a couple times a year but are in the same boat (bad pun) now as you. We have natural immunity as well and won't cruise until they drop the mandate. It's a shame too because they (the CEO's) think that they are catering to the vaxxed and that that's the demographic that will fill their ships...they will soon see that this line of thinking will sink ships when the bottom falls out of the economy. i think it was just the mandate - the times I've flown over the last 2 years I always hear "federal law" said by the PA system and by flight attendants when it comes to masks. I always felt that shit was suspect and did ask one person once at the AA counter that I didnt think any LAW was passed regarding masks just a mandate and she said that I was probably correct but she basically reads what she was given.

They are our hub and are the only ones who offer nonstop flights to most places. For those over a barrel, there's not much choice. We've used them several times over the last year. Once for a funeral and twice for vacation. We are refusing to support any local economy with our tourist dollars that cotton to the communist mandates. Mexico baby!
That's just when the "mandate" expires. It was originally set to expire May 2021 but has been extended and extended and extended... Most recently is was about to expire in January then got extended to March.

We, the peoole, stopped it in Texas last year. When businesses started back enforcing masks, people did not shop there. We have not been wearing masks except at some doctor's offices in a year. Gov. Abbott did say no mandates, but the people had already decided. Sams Club was giving out N95 masks last week. I laughed at the guy. Walked in and saw the same 10% wearing masks. Good for them, but the 90% said No! I said no to flying, no to cruising, no to businesses that mandate masks or vaccines. Bought non-Hershey chocolate bars yesterday. It was hard because I love it. The others were much cheaper and really good. I am spending the day looking online for alternatives to Carhartt for husband and son. I worked throughout COVID without knowing how sick my husband and I would become if infected. We were high risk. My earning will NOT support "woke" businesses.
