Anyone else think its strange that Trump finished up most of the wall but left one gap? If this Plan required allowing illegals, but they needed way to track every single one of them, would this be the way?

Yes I always found it weird he didn’t finish the little gap. And when he left he made it a point to go there to highlight the unfinished gap. It was almost hilarious to me. I thought…why would he do that. It seems more an embarrassment than anything. When a genius is ten steps ahead of you….it takes two years to figure out his moves.
my thought is that it will be easier to "follow the money", traffickers of drugs, kids, women, whoever else being trafficked, and also the coyotes doing their dirty deeds...the bottom of the funnel, metaphorically, to dump out all in one place rather than 1000 crossing places daily...kinda like a "squeeze chute" used in cattle ranching...makes perfect sense to me, but I'm a Texan...

They probably identify them as they walk through and then, if they show their face anywhere outside, they are tracked
Except, they can always dump their phones, especially the ones intent on doing us harm: human and drug traffickers, gangs and terrorists. Why would they keep the phones given to them. You can be sure their bosses at the top are savvy enough to give them secure or burner phones. Those at the top are those at the top in government indifferent countries, including the U.S. and those at the top who control everything (banking, government, real estate, big Agra., Big Pharma, housing, Stock Market, gambling, transportation). Do not think for one minute that human and drug trafficking isn’t done without complicity of those at the top in government. It is about control through drugs, alcohol, Big Pharma, taxes, etc.
But what if those at the top, even if they know better, figured that they control all the surveillance infrastructure anyway so there's no point in using burner phones?

Democrats offered Trump something like $15 billion to make the wall if the legislation allowed for a path to citizenship for people who were brought here as young children and have never really lived anywhere else. Trump said no to that $15b, and it ended up in the government shutdown. No would seem not totally non-negotiable, but certainly something they didn't want want.

I do home repairs on the side, we drink Pedialyte daily, I have tons of ice water, wear hats, have air-conditioning in the vehicle, and if we’re not inside of a house, find shade to work in. Even with all of that, it’s a tough day to make it through.
This year I happen of had several surgeries, so I’m not working right now. But… It’s been so hot lately, I’m actually grateful. I’ll get back to it soon enough. And hopefully it won’t be so hot.
If possible, but we work in peoples homes. We have a real estate agent that contacts us when they’re selling homes, or when one of their clients needs help with minor repairs once they’ve moved in. We also have a property owner who rents their houses out. When there are repairs that need to be done, we show up and do them. So we try to avoid the heat as much as possible, but it’s Arizona. That’s all there is to it. We can’t work at 4 AM at peoples houses that have kids, or people who are just trying to get up and go to work. However, we’re pretty aware of our surroundings, drinking plenty of Pedialyte, having ice water in our truck, wearing hats went outside, and also having bandannas with ice in them around our necks. I would say 75% of the time we’re working inside somebody else’s house, however sometimes we have outdoor jobs as well. It just depends on what the job is. It’s not a full-time job, so I am grateful for that.
